I am giving 2 stars because Edgar was wonderful. I brought my Parti Yorkie in to get his first cut, puppy cut. He is 3 months of the 24th. The groomer was named Kenzie. First off, she tells me there is no such thing as a puppy cut and groomers don't know what that is. I'm looking at her thinking, I have had small dogs since the 1980's, before she was even born, so yes there is. Then she tells me she probably can't do the cut because it's his first time. One hour l get a call, saying she could not do what I wanted because he was too timid. I go to pick him up and he looks the same. I say, he always going be this way until he gets used to it. The next time will be the same. She tells me to get an electric toothbrush and run it over him so he can get used to the noise. What? What kind of unprofessional advice was this? I should have not left him, because of my conversation with her before. She wasn't even going to try. And had the nerve to give me a bill for $42. Edgar, the Manager was great! Who said the groomer was new. I could tell. But it was the know-it-all attitude she had, that got me, and misinformation she gave. Pretty Paws is closed , so I try PetSmart. No thanks, I will find a local groomer. Teach your new groomers to always have an open mind. And get rid of a know it all attitude, especially when they are NEW GROOMERS. read more

went to this location for the first time to have my Maltese groomed. the haircut was "ok", not great and had to point out the nearly 1" length difference on one side of her face since it was evidently not obvious enough to the groomer. the bigger issue with this place was how completely filthy it was. I saw dogs beng groomed one after the other and not one of the employees swept the fur off the floors or even the individual grooming station tables, including in between their breaks. i had black fur all over me when I left and my dog is a non shedding Maltese with pure white hair, not fur. she was covered in the dog hair from other dogs with who knows what they could possibly have. i bathed her the moment I got home and had to fix the uneven parts of her head and face. will not go back. read more

This was under pet training and all the reviews were about grooming. I have had two dogs trained under Jamie's supervision and she is great! She gives the owners goals on which to work and is supportive and helpful throughout the process. One of my dogs went all the way through the therapy dog training and the other one went from a run-away rescue to a gem of a pet. read more

I'm so disappointed. I have been treating my long-haired cat to a full body shave for most of his 6+ years of life. Here in Texas, our summers are very warm and my cat, Bela, would get so lethargic due to the heat and his long, thick coat. After a good shave, he would be so happy and energetic...running around all over and back to his playful self. We recently moved to the Longview-adjacent area and I went in the hunt for a groomer to help Bela. I settled on PetSmart as the groomer said she could take care of him. Well, when I picked Bela up from his appointment, he was put into his carrier and I didn't see the haircut until I got him home. When I finally got to take a look, I wanted to cry for him. Horrible doesn't begin to cover it. Clumps of hair left, uneven areas, the sanitary area not done at all. Somehow, I think Bela knows he looks a mess. I actually get a bit angry each time I look at Bela, knowing this "groomer" touched my precious cat. I brought Bela back to PetSmart to show the store manager. He immediately refunded my grooming costs and stated he would be making changes in the grooming department. I hope so. I don't want anyone else to experience this disappointment. I have nothing against the store. I was treated fairly when I complained. Just don't allow this person to touch your fur-babies. read more

I waited for my curbside pickup for more than 10 minutes. I'm very disappointed. If you are going to offer a service, it shouldn't be quicker to go inside and get it yourself. This is the second time I've been to this store and they've been understaffed. Maybe you should schedule more people to work on Saturdays. read more

Customer service around the store is great. Over average I'd even say. But the grooming is horrible. My dog is chopped UP. Uneven everywhere, and normally I'd take it easy and fix the little spots I see, but I showed her pictures.. several of them and had a discussion about what I wanted done. He doesn't even look close. And every one of our friends has noticed and said something. Deborah did mine. Never again at this location. read more

We took our 16 year old Red Healer/Australian Shepperd in for grooming. Had a bad experience at a local feed store groomer and Barbie came home a different dog with a dazed and confused demeanor. Pet smart took their time to bathe, groom, and file her nails. She is a happy dog and much more like herself after her visit to Petsmart groomers. Good job! Stores customer service has been great every time. Got my dog groomed with Deborah W and after getting my dog back I know she wasn't listening or paying attention earlier when I was telling her what I wanted for my dog and she also wasn't paying attention to the pictures I showed her of my dog freshly groomed. It's super disappointing when you drop a good amount of money on getting your dog groomed (bc groomings are not cheap) and they don't deliver with everything I payed for. Did not clean his ears, did not clean around his mouth, did not clean up his tail and she left some patches of longer hair all around him. read more

I never leave reviews, so it's got to be really bad for me to do so. If I could give them 0 stars I would. This is for the grooming services only. I've taken my dog there only twice. The first time she was bathed well and smelled great, but had fleas crawling on her face and the top layer of her fur and she didn't have them before going in. Yesterday, after taking almost an entire three hours to bathe and defurminate (sp?) she smelled just as she did before we took her in and we had to brush out all her loose fur ourselves when we got home. What a waste of $61! Never ever again will we go here just because it's convenient. read more

Took my Maltese in to get groomed he looks okay for $56 I normally groom him but every year for Christmas I have him groomed. He has some hair on his head that is uneven and they didn't clean or shave hair out of his ears. His nails were done great. The whole store was clean bathroom and all. They have it all aside from in store training classes etc. I wasn't in long before I was asked if I needed help very friendly workers. read more

One star based just off the grooming service. If I could give less than one star I would. My wife and I drive over a hour to get my dogs hair cut and that's it. We didn't ask for a bath or anything extra. Just wanted her cut before her big shed starts. We take her shot records with us but when we get there they are requiring rabies certificate. I do understand that but not knowing the record of the rabies shot wouldn't be enough. So we happily asked a family member to go into our house and take a picture of it. Took her 5 mins to get the picture and send it to us. Thinking she would be fine to get a cut now the lady denies us and insists there just wasn't enough time. 3 hrs wouldn't be enough time for them to just shave her! Our Hour and a half drive was pointless and we will not be making the mistake of trying this place again. All that hassle isn't worth making another appointment and drive for a subpar cut. read more

If you have a small to medium sized dog, this is the store for you. It does not cater to larger dogs, especially the grooming section. I had a golden retriever groomed and was told that they had trouble getting my dog into a kennel to bathe him, and charged me an additional handling fee upon receipt of services. I do feel that all groomers need to be trained to handle the animals they service, with exception to aggressive animals. I do not recommend getting larger animals groomed here. read more

These groomers are wonderful. I drive 30 miles to get there because my dog loves them. Drove over the other day and they were out of power due to the storm but so sweet about it. Definitely recommend. read more
