I've taken both of my dogs here twice now. The first time was great! I did not like the fact that…read morethe dogs had to stay there literally ALL day, 8am-5pm, and they do not work with you on that, but the first time, they came out looking good. The second time, last week, was AWFUL!!! My Aussie went in for a "feet, face, tail" brush out, and bath. There is no way she got brushed, she had more knots on her than she's ever had in her entire life when she came out, and she was still WET!!!! Totally unacceptable. I have no idea when she was bathed so she could have sat in that cold kennel ALL DAY wet!! The thermostat said 61 degrees when I dropped her off. I know she has a lot of hair and I know a dual coat is hard to work with, but I paid a lot of money for her to come out wet and matted up. I worked on her for 2 hours myself once I got her home. My little dog looked okay, lots of missed sections of hair on her ears that were too long, very uneven, but good enough. My husband and I were extremely disappointed with how our Aussie turned out though. It's not fair to the dog to be left in a kennel all day, possibly wet, and the dog is already stressed out by being there. We also provided bedding and a water bowl for our dogs to have in the kennel together to possibly ease their nerves. They kept my water bowl and the bedding was folded the exact same way I put it in the bag, indicating it was not even used. Dont tell me to bring what I want them to have if it's not even going to be used. My little dog was also in an e-collar/cone at the time due to a tail injury and we requested the cone stay on when not being groomed. She was handed back to me cone free, indicating it hadn't been on all day, allowing her to lick at her tail, possibly setting back her progress. We did make sure with her vet in advance it was okay to groom her and we made sure the groomer was okay with it also, we would never have left her if they were not comfortable with it. I understand the whole business may not operate this way, it may have just been the person there at the time, but it was enough for us. We unfortunately will continue our search for a groomer and drive to Longview if needed.
