Before…read moreplaying your dog will need to pass the interview, which will basically show if they play well with other dogs. You dog must be spayed or neutered as well. I've used overnight boarding & grooming several times. Overnight boarding is expensive, but I feel that it's worth it. Just recently I've paid $594 for about 11 days & around $1000 for 2 weeks. The 2 week boarding was in a deluxe room so that I could watch him overnight, otherwise cameras are turned off at night. If you're nervous to leave your dog overnight please don't sweat it! My separation anxiety is just as bad as my dogs. When you drop them off you'll fill out a piece of paper that has plenty of care instructions. It will ask about feeding (how much, what time, is it okay to add wet food). They also inventory your belongings & I've never lost anything there. Grooming is great! They usually ask what you want & I think they'd do anything. At this point it's just "the usual" for us. Their website has the services included.

It was discouraging to hear all of that going on. Being yelled at scares dogs.

I highly recommend UVH and definitely Dr Garcia.

On day of visit, I drive 20 minutes to drop her off and i was told she now needed an influenza shot which would be an additional fee of some 120 or something. I asked why I was not told she needed the injection 2 days earlier when my dog visited the vet. Shoulder shrug "we require it". This has happened before. Communication issues, monetized services of UVH vets and an "I don't care" attitude at unleashed. I wouldn't have minded if they had told me when I initially asked what they needed from my vet 2 days earlier. No thank you

Upon pick up one of the desk assistants was short and almost a little cold. The lady with the colorful hair was much more friendly and seemed to be happy to be there, help me and answer my questions. I did appreciate that they listened to our training methods we are using with our pup. As owners we did tell them he hadn't never interacted with other dogs other than his litermates but we should've thrown in that even then he was a loner and likes dark and confined places; so he's not lonely just a bit of a loner. The only alarming thing about this experience was that he had an appointment a couple days later and he totally freaked out when we got to the place and around the other dogs. This behavior was completely unfamiliar. We would hate to play the blame game but either he thought we were going to leave him again and he just didn't like the experience of being boarded or something ugly happened while he was there. We decided no more boarding places for him, he will stay with a friend of ours from now on when we do go out of town.

I had a very difficult time in deciding to post this or not…read more This luxury resort for dogs entitled "Lap of Luxury" is really no more than a place for your pet to sleep. The place is clean and the rooms the pets stay in, are clean, and appear comfortable for your pet. Here's the reason for the two stars...they get almost zero interaction with anyone. They get taken out like once every three or four hours for about 7 to 8 minutes. That's it. My dog stayed here for four days, and she spent the entire 4 days waiting at the door for that precious 7 or 8 minutes. It was heartbreaking. I know this because they had a camera in her "suite". It was the saddest thing I have ever seen. I recorded her entire visit and I wish I had never done that. She was sad, lonely and at some point during the four days, simply gave up and just lay on the rug on the floor looking out, hour after hour. She was lucky enough to have a window. Have you seen the one's without a window? I cannot imagine how lonely those poor dogs must be. I just simply can't believe the staff is too busy to take the dogs out more often, or spend a few minutes with them. They charge enough money to perhaps hire more staff or a more attentive staff. If you want a safe, warm environment, this is it. If you want your dog to be stimulated, played with, taken outdoors, and talked to...pass this place by. Do your research, watch the camera on their website. Don't watch it for a few minutes..leave it up on your computer and check back every once in a while. You will definitely see what I mean.

That's a horrible business practice and is why we left Cornerstone. If you want to recommend a rabies shot then, fine, recommend one. But if you just give our animal a rabies shot without having our permission you should be the ones paying for it because you never had our authorization to do so in the first place. Our animals are indoor-only. Not one has gotten out unless we wanted it to in more than 50 years, and the ones that did go out we did get rabies shots for. But our indoor-only animals do not need a rabies shot. This all seems like a blatant money grab when money is tight enough right now and vets are already too expensive.
