Things are very expensive in this store. You can get a lot of the same stuff delivered to your door for half the price.

I'm really disappointed with how this situation was handled. I brought in a baby guinea pig I had…read morerecently purchased because her bonded cage mate passed away about three weeks later. I was concerned that whatever affected the other guinea pig could also affect her, so I brought her in to be checked for her health and safety. This was handled very poorly. When I later called for an update and asked about getting her back, I was told she had already been placed back in the display case to be sold to someone else. There was no concern shown for her physical or emotional well-being. Guinea pigs are prey animals and extremely sensitive to stress. On the same day her bonded cage mate died, she was also separated from the other guinea pigs she had bonded with. In a short period of time, she experienced the loss of her companion, separation from familiar cage mates, transport back into a loud store environment with dogs and children nearby, and being put back on display without proper quarantine--even though she had been exposed to a deceased cage mate. This kind of stress can weaken their immune system and put them at serious risk. I felt treated unfairly, and the way this was handled did not feel safe or humane. This experience seriously damaged my trust in how this store cares for small animals. The picture below was the guinea pig I had and returned. She was too small to be written off as healthy and too much through stress to be put out in a case with other guinea pigs she didn't know and in an environment so cruel. On another occasion, I returned multiple guinea pigs and called ahead to let the store know I would be coming back the next morning to get two of them. When I arrived, I was told that one of the two had already been sold to someone else--even though I had been told the two had bonded during their time back in the store. Separating bonded guinea pigs is stressful for them and shows a lack of understanding or concern for their social and emotional needs. This situation felt careless and avoidable, especially after I had communicated clearly the day before On another occasion, when I was new to caring for guinea pigs, I called with a genuine concern about the length of one of their teeth and asked for guidance. The manager was rude and snappy with me and implied that I was neglecting or abusing the animal by not providing enough food, hay, or toys. This was especially upsetting because I was reaching out specifically because I cared about the animal's well-being and wanted to do the right thing. It felt insulting and discouraging, and it didn't match the store's claims about caring for animals. If the goal is animal welfare, people asking for help shouldn't be treated like they're doing something wrong. To end I will never be getting my guinea pigs from here again. I love the ones I have but I will not support this business. I would rather spend a few more buck on the guinea pigs at petsmart than here. They have lost a loyal customer

Employing Anthony Bly to work with me and my dog has been the smartest choice I've made as a pet…read moreowner. In order to write this review, I have to tell you about my dog prior to working with Tony. She had been through two dog training classes and had done fairly well, but she was a runner. If she got out of the house or back yard, she would run in a residential area in front of cars and buses for hours without returning. One time she got hit by a car, and I knew that I had to do something. She also regularly jumped on people in the house and had very little impulse control. I knew my dog could be trained but I just didn't know how. The group classes weren't giving us what we needed. I found Tony on Thumbtack. He returned my inquiry right away and requested a fee that was very reasonable (not cheap but reasonable- you can't get good service without paying for it!). His fee was almost half of what I had seen elsewhere. The first time we spoke on the phone, he spent a lot of time explaining the e-collar program and how he could help my dog. To be honest, although I was excited after I spoke to him, I never actually believed that I'd ever be able to let my dog walk without a leash. Fast-forward about 9 weeks. My dog sits on the porch with me- without a leash. I took her to a creek with other dogs and let her splash along with them- without a leash. She started running away from the house, and I was able to call her back. When people come to my house, she sits. If she does jump up, I can correct her behavior easily. I no longer fear that I won't be able to control her in certain situations or that she will endanger her life. How did that happen? You have to hire Tony to see how it works. The e-collar is a great investment and he sells it to you at a discount. He'll watch your dog, assess its needs and then instruct you in each step. Now, this is really important... your dog isn't going to improve without your invested time in training. You have to be willing to listen to Tony's instruction and then practice with your dog. There were some sessions I left feeling pretty down because my dog had not progressed like I thought she should, or she wasn't obeying my commands. But I didn't give up, I kept practicing, I watched the videos and sure enough my Mabel kept improving. We still have more work to do, but I was given the tools to make it happen. Plus, if I ever have more questions or concerns about her training, I can still contact Tony even though our official training sessions have ended. Thanks, Knucklehead K-9 for making Mabel and my family happier and healthier!

Buyer beware: 1) she…read moreshowed up 10 minutes late each time. 2) she doesn't listen with what you want her to do. 3) the treats she gives are do not seem good for a puppy (at least mine) 4) she says you signed a contract but filled out the form herself and I never signed. 5) She will not refund your $ if you are dissatisfied. After the 2 appt., I wanted to cancel and receive reimbursement. She told me that she reserved a schedule for me when she did not (the last three was not scheduled. 6) I have to take her to small claims court to try to recover my $. Bonnie of Faithful Companion Dog Training is by far the best trainer that I have worked with since…read morerescuing my puppy, Callee, back in April. She is my first dog and I was faced with many challenges ranging from aggressive biting/growling and resource guarding. Bonnie had the most positive approach to training Callee and truly wanted to see her grow into a better behaved dog. Since working with Bonnie, my dog has made incredible progress and I've learned how to better control her actions as well. I 110% recommend Bonnie Hess to anyone looking for a trainer that will actually help target your dog's specific behaviors. I cannot thank her enough for all the help and support she's provided me to this point!
