I've taken my dog here Lily for the last nine years. This is the second time I've had an issue at the Kennesaw location 282. That's the store of Cobb Place. I wish there was a way to leave a zero, a German Shepherd four months ago was brought to you guys. I was called about an hour later to come get her because you didn't have anybody to bathe her. That's the first issue that I have it was extremely inconvenient. Let's talk about December 21, 2025 I have an appointment at 12:30 PM. Will you bring her in about 12:15 PM and we get a call at 3:30 PM that Lily is having a bunch of issues and barking through the cage they put her in she had an appointment I'll say that again at 12:30 PM. I was told by the bather that because of so many Walkins and so many dogs there I guess it was a complete circus that Lily was starting to get antsy and I said well we had an appointment. They instructed me to come pick her up. She was soaking wet with cold water and she smell horrible. She sat wet for close to three hours. I was told because she was barking that they would not do any more services with her. I then spoke to the bather she said that she was being antsy and barking, and that she didn't feel comfortable proceeding, this isn't a groomer by the way. Then I speak to a groomer. I guess the groomer that's over the grooming department she said I need to come pick up my dog. I asked to speak to a manager. When I was talking to the manager, I said you know this is the second time that this has happened the first time you guys said that you were gonna give me like a 30% discount for the inconvenience of having to come get her and nothing was done she then proceeded to say that don't worry this one is on us. They didn't even wash my dog. They put her in the tub and pour a cold water on her. She smells like that expression, wet dog. I had to hand dry her and blow dry her for about an hour, she wanted her cage and peed in her cage. She was so stressed out. I don't appreciate talking to the manager because I said I think this is a bunch of BS. Then she's gonna start telling me how I'm being disrespectful and using the whole self entitlement thing against me I never cursed directly at her. I did say it was BS and I did say that it wasn't fair to my dog. That's like my child. She's doing better now so it's 11 PM. She just ate her food. I would not take any dog to this grooming facility. This is like one of my children I've had for the last nine years and when I asked the manager what they could do to make it right she said she wasn't gonna do anything. That's when I told her it was BS and they have absolutely no customer service. I would not take your dog up to this Petsmart. They left her in a cold water. She was cold when I got her shaking they were argumentative. They didn't even try to calm me down when I was upset, and then they said that I will not be talking to them a certain way the whole entitlement factor came right out of that manager. You know, we treat our dogs like our children. This is not only unfair to my dog, but this is the second time that she's been brought up there to be stressed out and now she's had to be cold and the younger girl that was bathing them. I don't think had that much experience. I guess they get younger people to bathe German shepherds may seem intimidating, but mine is a love bug. She is extremely loving and sweet. I have four kids. She's never been aggressive. I've never had no issues at PetSmart but I would not see the Kennesaw location store 282. I will never go back and I will never buy anything from them again. I get things happen but the way that they were talking about walk-ins and all the dogs they had maybe it upset her. My dog had an appointment she should've been first. And with an experienced groomer, they know how to deal with dogs that get excited because their animals, but telling me there's absolutely nothing you're going to do and the fact that you just came to that store and you don't know about the past experiences with them sending my dog home that had nothing to do with her being aggressive over getting excited that was they didn't have a bather that day now they're going into a totally different stance of now she's getting too excited. I have nothing else to say I will never be back. This is the longest review I've ever written in a second me it makes me sick to my stomach. If you value your little children, your little animal, I would not take it to PetSmart and I see some of these reviews that are you know five stars I wouldn't be surprised if these people didn't work for PetSmart the way they treated my dog was just it was very not acceptable. The store itself is fine. However I would like to bring to the attention of the manager, whoever it is, that they need better cashiers. The boy that helped me today was so unbelievably rude and condescending. I didn't catch his name but he had shoulder-length brownish black hair and was pale. I asked him about the kitten adoption and he explained that the open adoption was Wednesday-Sunday, and to contact kitty angel rescue for questions. His tone was rude, but okay. I leave for a few minutes and come back to ask him another question about the time in which the Kitty Angel rescue would be there the following Wednesday, and he rudely said "did you check the sign by the door like I told you?" He did not tell me to check the sign. I said I saw the store hours were 9-9. He said "Well that sign does not say their hours are 9-9". He then points to the sign and says "4-8, 4-8, 4-8" I apologize and say I didn't see the sign. He said "I should have checked". Altogether rude experience, rude interaction, and bad customer service. Tell your staff to be more helpful and respectful. read more

NOT ENOUGH MONEY can save yall from me & the little girl named Alana I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! MY PUPPY HAS PATCHES I DROPPED HIM OFF AT 11 didn't get him until 6... even if there was an error during the session u CALL the owners !!! Awesome, well maintained, good service. I would recommend this place to anyone who needs pet supplies.

My husband and I just adopted a puppy, and have been having to do a lot of shopping for puppy supplies. Just when we think we have it all, we realize we need something else, so we have done a few runs to different Petsmart and the Kennesaw store is definitely our favorite. It was clean, it was well stocked, and the staff we interacted with were friendly. I knew that they offered grooming and training services, but I had no idea they offered veterinary services, and we really liked that. I honestly didn't think we would do a lot of shopping at Petsmart because I assumed that prices might be better online, but so far it seems like they offer competitive pricing and they offer a great loyalty program, as well as coupons. I would recommend shopping at Petsmart, especially the Kennesaw location! read more

Grooming here is AWESOME! On Saturdays they have appointments as late as 5:30 (which is a godsend for me). I booked an appointment with Pablo for my havanese pup a few weeks ago and he was so sweet to her. She has some anxiety when I leave and I could hear him trying to calm her when I was leaving. I am so appreciate of him! He also did a great job on the grooming. Most salons forget about or either don't properly trim the hair under her arm, but he did! read more

This isn't my favorite Petsmart mainly because of the location. It's on Hell Cobb Parkway and on the weekends between the Costco and the mallers....ya ...there ain't enough money you can give me to go here on the weekends.... I did once find a tiny black kitten here in the parking lot and managed to find a nice family to pawn him off before I fell in love with him.... I usually come here for the usual cat food, cat toys and such. I've never had a bad experience here and I can say I've been here at least half of dozen times over the years...The only thing is getting in and out of this parking lot can be a complete zoo.... read more

Horrible experience! Don't waste your time or money here! I purchased a puppy who came home that night and was immediately sick. Ends up he had pneumonia!! I have submitted my receipts requesting a refund for the almost $1500 in vet bills and they have 101 excuses for why I haven't received my money yet all the way down to saying they are out of checks and won't have checks for another week. What in the world? It gets worse and worse and the days go on. Laura at the warranty place is just doing her job but wants to act like the customer is the problem for bothering her so much trying to get the much needed refund on all these expenses that were incurred. I will not stop bothering her and many others until this is resolved! No wonder they are out of check because they have so many refunds to give! read more

I just came for a few items. Staff was nice . Store was clean. Even though the store was busy the staff keep a good attitude.

I've always had good luck with the grooming and the pet training at this location but my usual groomer changed jobs and today's groomer kept my dog for 7.5 hours! She did a fine job but she quoted 3-4 hours and when I called at 6 hours they said another 30 minutes. I expected to get a call soon, but didn't get a text until 1.5 hours later. I was not happy at all with my pups haircut. Her hair looks like it was chopped up. Her hair is different lengths. Her feet were barely touched. Her nails were clipped and not grinned like I ask. I was given all kinds of excuses. I definitely won't be back to the Woodstock location. read more

Petsmart is a good brand, this store seems to represent it well. The store was clean and well-stocked. The workers were kind. My cashier handled my coupon masterfully and kindly. When the line was long, she called for a few other workers to open up some other registers. Petsmart doesn't sell cats or dogs, which is good; they work with numerous adoption agencies, a few of which were present when I was there. I can't say anything about the grooming; most of the reviews sound pretty not-positive. I haven't used the grooming or the hospital, but the store itself was good for me. read more

Terrible customer service at this store! I scheduled an appointment several days in advance but two hours ahead of our appointment time they called to say that I had chosen a groomer instead of a bather....and they needed me to change my appointment time for later in the day which wasn't convenient. Why did the website allow me to choose a person, how was I to know, and time that was convenient for me only to be called shortly before my time and told I was the one that needed to be inconvenienced to accommodate their scheduling inefficiencies. Every since I was blessed with my little baby, this is the go to place for all my little doggy needs. This place is definitely a life saver since I haven't had a pet in over 20 yrs. The staff is so helpful they do not hesitate to help and give you great advice. The groomers are the sweetest, they make your dog verycomfortable especially if its their first time and if you in need a of a trainer there is no one that is better than David. David will make the class for and your special one so entertaining, plus he will even give you advice without a class that will help you. Oh how I wish I would have read these reviews before bringing my puppy for his 1st cut! DO NOT BRING YOUR PUPPY HERE for a full service! I have brought my puppy here before when he was only getting a puppy trim, which have usually been ok because it's not really a haircut. However, he just made 6 months, so I wanted a little hair off. I figured a little less than 1/2 off his coat would be no problem to do since he was now familiar with the staff/environment. He, at this point, had his full winter coat. Super fluffy. Instead, CARLY cut ALL of my puppy's hair off!!! AND he has slight bruising near the pads of his paws where the hair meets! WHO GIVES A 6 MONTH OLD PUPPY CLOSE TO A DARN BUZZ CUT?!!!! Her response, was of course, their classic "he was wiggly" response, YET she was able to completely clear his anal glands?! & cut too close around his little paws?!!!! That IS NOT what a little LESS than 1/2 off a full coat means or what a teddy bear cut looks like. The RIGHT thing to have done, CARLY, is decline performing the service and/or reduce the payment amount when I came to pick my puppy up. Which, by the way, they usually take 2 1/2 hours for a puppy trim, but took only 45 MINUTES TO DARN BUZZ CUT A 6 MONTH OLD PUPPY. He is still a puppy. I knew something was weird when they called so soon for pickup. And I KNOW he squealed at some point to let y'all know that you were hurting his paws. If the salon can't handle their jobs, QUIT!!! instead of charging your customers $86!!!! for not doing what was requested. read more

So here's what I found out. 1) Prices determined by breed. 2) Bath & Brush: Includes paw pads and sanitary areas / Nail Clipping - NOT GRINDING / Cleaning Ears / Anal expression - $24.99. 3) Deluxe Bath & Brush: Includes Bath & Brush with upgraded shampoo and a deep conditioner, sanitary areas, paw pads, nail clipping & grinding, teeth cleaning. $45.99 3) Touch-up: Includes paw pads and sanitary trim / Nail Clipping - NOT GRINDING / Cleaning Ears - NO BATH OR ANAL EXPRESSION. $21.00 4) Nail Grinding can be added to any service for $12.00 5) Teeth cleaning can be added to any service for $12.00 What I've found is that the groomers at this PetSmart tend to do a better job than the groomers at Cumberland and Austell locations. But with the high turnover - who knows how long that will last! Argh! Now that the prices have increased for my 'adult' dog - I'll still use them - but only as a last resort. read more

My daughters hamster recently passed away. We talked about getting another pet for her. She showed an interest in Gerbils. My husband and I told her to do her research and come to us with what she learned. We had previously been to another PetSmart and wasn't happy with the service. We decided to try another PetSmart and came to this one in Kennesaw. We went in knowing what we were looking for. As soon as I walked in Chelsea immediately came over to see if we needed any help. She went above and beyond helping us select the habitat, toys, bedding and two very sweet gerbils (Alice and Maddie). She didn't make us feel like we were a bother. Answered all our questions and made sure we were good BEFORE she went to help another customer. This was a wonderful shopping experience and having a caring , helpful associate made all the difference. At the previous PetSmart, we were not treated as kindly. I won't go into details but this PetSmart is now the one I'll go to even though it's a further drive. read more

I've been using PetSmart groomers for almost 10 years, on Oct 22, 2020 I booked my two Maltichon dogs for a grooming appointment. When I picked them up, they were a bit jumpy but no more than usual after their time at the groomer. But Mylo has been cowering and nervous since returning home. He cowers when I try to put his harness on to go out to the bathroom. I do not know what they did to him that day but they will NEVER get my business again! They also need to put cameras into the holding areas so that pet parents can possibly review footage should their pet begin acting strange after a grooming session. read more

I will choose this location over any other pet store in my area. The people who work here have always been kind, straightforward, and have the "I will get you what you need" mentality. Buying 3 dozen crickets averagely takes me about 5 minutes or less to get in and out. I appreciate quick service in a business, and this location has been able to do this for me. They also keep their pets healthy, which is a nice change-up from other pet stores. After years of looking for a good groomer for my two Shih Tzus, I went to the PetsMart in Kennesaw to see Misty and I am so glad that I did! I live in Atlanta, but I glady make the 20+ mile trip each way for grooming with Misty. She asks the right questions so that she can make my babies as cute as can be. I have tried groomers in Atlanta that charge $65 and up per dog, so $45 each is a steal. Misty is an amazing groomer, I am so thankful for the recommendation. read more

I have brought my 6 month old puppy here multiple times and for the past 2 times they have told me they can't finish cutting her nails because she was too jittery. The service level in the Grooming area has declined. On two occasions we paid $47.00 for a bath and nail grinding. Each time they failed to grind all of his nails. This time they forgot his bandana. When I went back in to get it they didn't even apologize. Lately there has been several aggressive dogs. I'm really contemplating going back. Everyone always asks what I need help finding and everyone is so helpful and polite. Jessi in the grooming salon is the absolute best groomer. I trust her completely with my dog and my dog trusts her too, which does not come easy. I have referred people to her and they have always been satisfied and have stopped going to fancy, expensive, overrated salons. PetSmart is the only place I buy things for all 4 of our dogs and 1 cat and the only place I will bring our pets to be groomed. Jessi is beyond phenomenal! We love her! read more

We called and were quoted $25 for nail Grinding and a bath. Really only needed the grinding but since it was a special we decided to do both. When we got there we were told that it was $40 for both. Since we were already then decided to move forward. We were told the dog would be ready at 7:30, it was 5:45. We went back at 6:30 and he was ready, but they did not do the nail grinding, said he was too stressed.This was the whole reason we had gone there. Note we have gotten his nails done before and had no problems. We just paid for the bath and left. When we got home the dog was still dirty, they said they used an ear wash, but I had to clean the ears myself. Madysan was our stylist and i would stay away from her at the very least. I for one will never go back and would recommend finding somewhere else. It is over price for the bad work you get. read more

Overall very busy on weekends. The lady that cuts cat nails is seriously amazing!!!!!!!! She is so fast and efficient. I always watch her cut other cats and she is always smiling and talking to them to comfort them and such. She usually gives my kitty a little bow on her ears ahaha. She also trims dogs nails! I have called the store on many different occasions, and I have never had someone answer the phone even a single time. I have waited for over 20 minutes at a time for help in the fish section while there is no one but workers in the store. Go to any other petsmart location if you are looking for customer service. First I'm giving the one star for the manager that came up to my rescue. It started as we entered the store and my mom asked a much older woman for her assistance on a return. Initially she walked past her like she didn't acknowledge my mom and out the sliding from t doors. I turned around to make sure she was going to help my mom and then as I tried to save time for my sons birthday dinner, I went to get my usual dog food. Mom came back and said the woman would not let us engrave my two tags, valued at 30+ dollars cause she accidentally put in wrong receipt. Bottom line she was rude and stated people steal tags all the time and she couldn't help. When I spend over 2-500.00 a visit I would hope for better customer service. When purchased I was NOT told that the code for machine was on receipt and we left. My biggest gripe is a young man named Jason. I had a clearance collar without a tag so I brought a bigger collar for price check only and I told him to only ring up smaller collar. My mom noticed he rang up the big one and charged me for both and threw in bag. She exclaimed angrily " what is wrong with you people?" I asked for mgr over the tag issue but when she arrived to help me , Jason told her to help that my mom " was out of control". This made me mad! I couldn't believe he would say that in the first place but to say it in front of us out loud!!! He was dismissed from register and the young manager helped us and my tags got engraved thankfully. She apologized for both employees behavior but I still plan to call corporate. My mom was a govt employee and head of HR for her county. She knows what good customer service means. This is only for the PetsMart Grooming Salon. Please do not bring your dog here. If groomers get short on time your dog will only get a "trim" and not the service requested . After complaining they will tell you as the previous user stated that your dog was too wiggly . Manager Jesse truly lacks the patience and professionalism to be a leader in this area. read more

I went through 2 and 1/2 training courses here. The cost $100 each. The trainiers are good and caring, buy the store allows the local rescue to bring 25 to 50 cages of dogs and cats in during training sessions so young dogs are highly distracted to the point of not learning. I would not advise using this service but rather one where there are fewer distractions early on until your pet is settled in. read more
