We needed to get our dog a shot. We were able to get our dog her shot. We did not have an appointment so we had to wait two hours however we knew we would have to wait. The staff are very happy and caring people. read more

I really only use this place for Pupperoni and nail clippings now, it's pretty on par with what you'd expect. I don't use them for grooming because they shaved my boy without asking. Good other than that. read more

I've been taking my pet to pet smart for years. My dog is a senior dog . The scheduler asked me if I'd like the express service. They told me it would keep her from being in a crate waiting to be groomed. I thought this would be a good idea so I said yes. Little did I know that they charge you $15 extra for this service. The scheduler didn't mention an extra charge. My bill was $77.00 for just a cut and regular shampoo. I won't take my pet there again. read more

A multi room gymnasium/spa/lounge chair/scratching post for Kitty? This is your spot. Me? I needed some bling for The World's Cutest Puppy. A dog tag that is. So I got one. Now if the little shit runs off and you find him, you'll know his name and my digits. So hit me up so that I can come collect him. That, or he'll chew up everything you own. You've been warned. Also picked up The Mrs. some new clippers. Nothing she likes better than doing some doggie pedicures. There were about 29 different varieties including 2 sizes of Martha Stewart's own brand. TWCP's Dad didn't get those, he got some basic ones with a little quick-depth guard. Yes, I know how lame it is to refer to yourself in the third person. But, like most things, that rule is more for THEM than it is for US now, isn't it? The laser etched tags are cool; there's a DIY type of kiosk gizmo that plum flummoxed me at first. Hey, I will say that no less than 4 polite workers stopped to ask if I needed help in the clippers section. Within about a minute if me getting there. So, they'll spoil ya. This isn't necessarily for PetSmart but for the humane society. They have a section for cats to adopt in store provided by the humane society and my fiancé and I were really excited about this one little cat so we called the number provided. The woman immediately sounded unpleasant to answer our call but told us she'd meet us in 10 minutes. We waited and this old woman came and asked if we were the ones who called, we said yes. She asked if we were renting an apartment and we said no we're renting a house. Then asked for our landlords phone number to call them so we provided her with her number. She left and came back 2 minutes later saying "sorry landlord said no". We know our landlord pretty well so we were confused and called her asking about the conversation and our landlord did not in fact say no to us adopting a kitten. This woman didn't as so much ask for our names, income, or Anything and was extremely rude towards us enough to make my pregnant fiancé cry. read more

I'm going to put this on here so you guys are aware of what your paying for when it comes to a puppy cut. You are paying $20.00 to wait for 2hours for your dog to get its butthole and feet trimmed. That's it! I picked up my dogs after driving 45 min. To contact him there and waited 2 hours to pick him up to find that his butthole got trimmed, his feet got tried, they claim they cut his face, but he still has hair in his eyes, and to get a bath. I could have done all of that within the time it took me to drive there. I contacted the manager and got told I could get a discount if I want to drove back down the following week. I bought clippers locally and will take care of this myself before I waste another day waiting for them to cut the dogs fur. I don't even want to know how long it will take for a full hair cut if a butthole trim took four hours. read more

I would have given five stars if there was not a major issue with my new family members! The staff was friendly and so sweet; there is absolutely no complaint there! The issue is that my Guinea pig nugget has pneumonia. I spoke with the manager today and she explained that they will vet him until he is better. I refused, not wanting to stress him with the constant back and forth between store and home and I can treat him just as easily myself. I just hope they check the other pigs! I only told the manager because I wanted her to do a quick health sweep of her remaining Guinea pigs. She was so kind! read more

The Johnson City Petsmart did a fantastic job grooming my husky mix, which is not an easy task. They shaved, bathed, and tested her irritable skin- and left me notes about all they'd done, which was so helpful. They did exactly what I asked and I would highly recommend them! read more

It's still a chain store, but the staff is very helpful and friendly. You can find just about anything you may need for your pet. They are pet friendly. And they also support and host the animal shelter and the humane society. read more

Overall my experiences have been decent. Some issues but my absolute best was when Princess was my groomer and she did exactly what I asked for and had my Peanut looking really good. She is the only one that has taken the time to listen and follow up that it was what I wanted. When I did have a bad experience I was ignored at check out and had to call and speak to a manager to get the issue taken care of. There are some good things and bad things about this PetSmart. Not bad enough to stop me from returning but not good enough for five stars. read more

Had an appt. Was given misinformation, that's okay was just explaining and they began to argue with me. I had called when I adopted my Scooter about post surgical grooming and the lady I spoke with said 10-14 days out I said okay. About a week post surgery I called to make an appt that was set for 11 days post op. I came in and they said policy was 2 weeks, which of course is fine. I explained that the first time I called she had said 10-14 days. Immediately one girl behind the counter became abrupt and told me I made your appt and I did not say that. I explained again that initially I had not spoke with her, she then still began to repeat herself many more times after that the same "I did not tell you that." She didn't even hear or even comprehend what I was trying to tell her. Never will I again go to their grooming salon! There in Bluff City I found Glamour Fur and not only was I please with the job and customer service but it only cost me 48.00! read more

I just recently moved back to JC with my super sweet dog Lady who was in dire need of a bath. The tables were full when we walked into grooming and Lady gave her vocal hellos to everyone. No one was speaking! Not a smile! You can cut the negativity with a knife in that place. Poor little black dog on table to the right second from the back is so stressed and yelping... The Groomer is the picture of hate not doing anything kind or loving for this poor animal it broke my heart! What's the story there, groomers hate each other, their jobs, dogs in general? It starts with the groomer and what kind of people they are. I spoke to manager she said they are in the zone and don't talk to their dogs to keep them calm? I told her that was the perfect lip service and walked away. Lady was was left at 2 for a bath/dry. At 3:30 I went to get her and she was just then being washed, I left with her still wet because I was so miffed at the atmosphere there. Never will I my pets go there. Horrible. Look at them next time you go in, nothing happy in that room. read more

I am not certain how this store survives. I don't know whether this is a chain problem or a store problem. My kids purchased several small lizards, spent over two hundred bucks (of their own money) on the habitats, plants, bowl for water, habitat for crickets, the food, and, of course, after a month of the purchase, we can't seem to buy any crickets. The store, or chain, is so unreliable on supply, go on a Monday, "Sorry, delivery comes tomorrow on Tuesday", go on a Tuesday, "truck did not come today, come back on Thursday". I am hoping my kids lizards don't die as I will take the entire $247 purchase and turn it in for a full refund. read more
