I just took her Wednesday and they didn't even trim her hair just her feet and her private areas what is the point of paying for a full bath and haircut if you don't get it. The women who work at the grooming salon are the rudest, meanest women I have encountered in a very long time. They belittled me in front of everyone for a misunderstanding. They are cheap but it is worth paying more to find a groomer without anger management issues as a systemic problem. read more

This has got to be the worst location ever petsmart university dr - tryed to get my granddaughter a fish and I had to jump through hoops. The girl in fish made it very difficult, she needs to take a class on customer service. I eventully just left and went to petco. Their tanks are much better looking and healtier fish. If I could leave 0 stars I would. Petsmart (Huntsville, AL- University location) injured my dog while grooming and has ignored me, ignored corporate, and downplayed the severity of this situation for over 2 weeks (at this point in time). I have had to call corporate 4 times to get resolution and justice for my fur baby. The staff at the local petsmart have shown no regard or consideration for this matter. I'm quite sure they are waiting for the footage to be erased before responding back to me. After my dog was injured, he needed to undergo sedation and received several stitches- what the vet identified as a minor surgery all for what should have been a bath and full groom service. The negligence and lack of accountability is unfathomable. I question the ethics of how this location does business and recommend an investigation as well as training for all employees involved. Hopefully this is not how corporate approves of their branches treating customers and their fur babies. It's beyond disgusting. read more

You can probably find pretty much anything you would need for your pet at this store. It's very large and carries a wide variety of toys, food, beds, and even the pets themselves. I only gave it three stars though because even though this store is much larger than The Pet Depot in Madison, the prices are a good bit higher. And I have yet to figure out what exactly the rewards program gets me. I signed up, but I'm not seeing any rewards. At Pet Depot you get 5% off of every purchase which saves you even more. That gets to be a big deal when you're buying a giant bag of dog food twice a month. read more

We took our somewhat ADD rescue mutt (I say that lovingly!) here for his first grooming, and they did a very good job. They explained the different packages, and when they were unable to file his claws they took the price back down to a lower package rather than charge for the one or two failed claws that caused them to write it off as a loss. They were very good with him, and he seemed to love his time there. The selection of items they have for dogs is great, and we are loyal shoppers there. I do wish their dog house prices were better as I have found lower in other places, but I'm assuming their quality is higher than the others. That's what I tell myself to make me feel better about the $40 difference between the one we bought there and the one I saw at Lowe's the very next day! read more

A HUGE "THANK YOU" from Marley and me to Will and Julie! Poor Marley had an upset stomach for several days. I was up three nights in a row with him - barely sleeping for more than two hours at a time. I was exhausted and he was so sick and uncomfortable. Vet did little to nothing (but that's another review). Julie helped me find a great "sensitive digestion" puppy food. Will suggested I feed Marley pumpkin! I had never heard of it, but was willing to try anything. We also got him some different treats. Not only does Marley LOVE all his new food, but he has slept six+ hours for the last two nights in a row! No more tummy issues! Mommy and Marley BOTH feel sooooo much better! Terrible store. They shaved our dog and then have dragged their feet with communication. It's been over 7 weeks and we are still trying to get this resolved. I would never recommend them for dog grooming. You would be better off trying to groom your own dog with hedge trimmers. read more

This is the third time in row there has been live moths, moth larvae, maggots, crawling things, and what looked like fibrous strands of packing material in our simply nourish Petsmart brand dog food. Beware of the Grooming Department! When I go into the University Drive location for dog supplies, I almost always stop by the grooming area and watch the grooming going on. Love to watch the doggies! However, lately I have observed the groomers roughly jerking the small dogs around, and I don't think I have EVER observed them talking to them. Maybe the dogs cooperate better if they don't talk to them. I don't know. But because of the way I have observed them jerking the dogs around, grabbing their chin hair, etc. very roughly, I will never take my dogs there again. If they treat the dogs that way while in the sight of their customers, I hate to think how they probably treat them "behind closed doors". read more

Good store, but lousy grooming. Go somewhere else. I was charged more than $50 and my cocker spaniel puppy looked like a poodle when I got her & she still had 1 dirty ear. I was charged for ear cleaning (guess they only clean one.) She is a very compliant dog & doesn't struggle when you touch her ears, paws, or mouth, so I must assume it was just an inept groomer. They said she didn't. like the blow dryer cage, but said she was great otherwise. My neighbor & everyone who has seen her picture has seriously said, "I didn't know you had a poodle." read more

we live by the carl t. jones petsmart but i refuse to take my dog there for grooming. that's a whole other review in itself. so i took my 15 lb shih tzu to this location twice. the first time i drop him off 15 minutes late. we pick him up 4.5 hours later! why even set an appointment if you won't get to my dog for another 3 hours??? and when i did pick him up the groomer tells me he was licking her a lot and that's a warning sign that he's being bothered and wants to bite.... um, my 15 lb dog that loves the hell out of people is not licking you as a warning. today, i take him at 5:30, 30 mins early hoping this would help speed the process up this time. I call at 8 wondering how much longer before i have to pick up my dog because the store closes at 9 and the woman assured me it wouldn't take as long bringing him in at 6 because there are less dogs at that time. so when i call at 8 a different woman tells me it will be 45 more minutes and that they will be starting him soon. starting him?? he's been there for 3.5 hours!! it will be 45 more minutes??? besides the wait, i should have used my better judgement and said no before we even left the parking lot. the young girl at the front desk was rather cold and rude to me and told me to put my dog on the ground so i did as instructed and she puts that leash around his neck. instead of bending down and letting him familiarize with her she says come on and starts to walk. my dog jerks away, what dog would just walk with some stranger as a leash tightens around it's neck? and when she realizes i'm still watching then she stops and tries to get him to walk. he finally goes after i say he's okay. but then sits again and she continues to walk to the back dragging him along the ground. read more
