Our dog has a partial ACL tear. He had that for over one year. Functions perfectly well. After signing him in, they have called and refused his grooming for absolutely no reason. This review is specifically for the day camp.. I've taken my dog twice now for a half day at day camp and he LOVES it! We usually drop him off at 10:30 and pick him up at 4:30 when we take him. We absolutely love getting to hear how his day was and receive a report card letting us know how he did and what he enjoyed. The staff said nothing but good things about our sweet boy Clinton which made us really happy. The last time we dropped him in he also got a bath and nail trim which was wonderful. I believe the total for a half day (not including the bath) was $24 or $26 which is definitely worth it in our opinion so he can get some exercise and socialization in. They also offer doggy treats while he's there! We are very happy with our experience at doggy day camp and will continue to bring Clinton in! read more

This grooming facility is absolutely unsafe for dogs with short snout. The customer service is pretty bad as well. I would recommend avoiding this particular location for any dog, but if your dog is a short snouted breed, it could be simply disastrous. Stay away! read more

Don't bother doing training at this location. We signed up for 6 weeks of training. We have driven there 6 times and gotten 3 classes. Between training being canceled, trainer dropping the class, etc. The worst part is they NEVER call, text, or email to let us know class is canceled!! We revolve our night around making it to the class to get there and have no trainer - and the front desk staff just tell us the training has nothing to do with them and send us on our way. Anytime I get a defective product they are willing to switch it out, even when it is outside the return period, the staff are extremely friendly, and it is an overall great store! All staff was friendly and accommodating but the grooming was by far the best I have found in the area and I had gone to 2 others and been charged full price for horrible grooming. I have been bringing my dogs to Petsmart for years. Linda at this particular salon was always such a pleasure to work with. Since she's no longer at the salon, I booked with another groomer. I have a Bernese Mountain dog, so I understand that it is a lot (grooming and personality), but I definitely pay for his size! When I brought him in today, a terrible woman named Candace checked him in. She was so awful to him. I was taking him in to play and then the groomers typically get him from the play area to start the grooming, so it wasn't that he would be groomed right away. Of course he was incredibly excited, but she was so awful to him. Absolutely no love for dogs coming from this woman. I was incredibly upset because he is my baby. The groomer as well was not kind either, but I didn't get to see her interact with my dog. Needless to say I did not go through with the appointment and luckily as I was walking out I found a groomer who was very kind and loves animals. If you are looking for groomers who love animals, then do not bring your dog to this place. And definitely don't go to Candace! read more

We adopted 2 kittens from this Petsmart and they both have ring worm!!! I would not adopt from here , until they have the situation 100% under control. It creates a huge hazmat situation in your home that costs hundreds of dollars to get rid of. The unfortunate thing is that management refuses to accept it came from their store, which is rediculous because we have no other animals or way it could have entered our home. We did hold 2 other kittens there that were missing hair which is a huge sign of ring worm and never should have been accepted in that condition to their store. They most likely spread it to all the other cats/kittens. They all play in the same common area. read more

I don't recommend this petsmart pets hotel to anyone spending over $1000 for 10days got suit for 2 of my little dogs .My little female got sick and I called to checked on them they said she is fine next day she got dirreah found blood on her stoole, then my male dog looks like has kennel cough I made an appointment with his Dr on Friday because there was no opening sooner than Friday so I have to pay for his visit as well as I paid for her visit while she was boarding!!!!! Worst dog grooming ever! My dog looks terrible. They didn't cut or trim him, they shaved him completely including his tail. That is not what was discussed. I would have never had them shave his tail, as it doesn't grow quickly. I'm worried it will not grow back now. It's never been shaved because it is already thin and short hair. My dog was also whining, scratching and licking for hours after the appointment. He was miserable. That's never happened until this grooming. Im 17 almost 18 and they told me I couldn't get my dogs nails trimmed because I wasn't 18. I have been there before and my dog is on file there. I even called a different pet smart and they told me that it was no problem that I was 17. My dog is my responsibility and when I can't get her groomed because of my age it's very frustrating. read more

In response to the comment from Larena, how unfortunate that you choose to bash a store whose employees go above and beyond to care for these animals and help find them homes. It is impossible to identify the original source of a ringworm outbreak since it takes 4-6 weeks to appear. If you noticed anything on the kittens you saw there, the responsible thing to do was to mention it the moment you saw it but your notification to every rescue you visited began approximately 2 weeks post adoption. This store maintains an excellent environment for the animals they serve and without them these cats would not find homes, in the end, the only ones to suffer are the animals. I stand behind this store and the employees 100%, I am greeted when I come through the door, the information they provide regarding the best foods for my pets helps me avoid a trip to the vet, and they genuinely care very deeply for the animals they have at their store. read more

Bella's Cut @ The Highlands PetSmart I AM POSTING THIS AGAIN BECAUSE SOME HOW IT WAS DELETED. On may 26, 2018, I took Bella to petsmart for a cocker cut with Maggie G. When I arrived she was courteous and polite. I didn't list how I wanted her coat cut when I set up the appointment on the petsmart mobile app like I did the last time so when I was explaining how I wanted Bella's coat cut, she sighed interrupted and stated I have the notes from the last cut, then I looked down and it appears she had the notes from the last cut from the other location, didn't ask if she did she stated that she had them. I continued to advise how I wanted her cut and noticed Maggie was not taking notes. When I picked her up, She was behind the counter with Maggie and two other associates. I took a glance at her from where I was and did notice anything wrong. One of the associates handed her to me from behind the counter where her left side was facing me so I only saw the left side. I carried her out of the store and to the car. Once I got home, I noticed the right side skirt was noticeably longer, much longer than the left side skirt. In addition, I noticed the left side was much thinner and not full and thick as her coat normally was. I then realized that the cut on her head and the sides of her head were choppy and not smooth. I called the next morning and spoke with Maggie about the cut and she stated to bring her in and she will fix it. I showed Maggie the areas that needed fixing and she took her back, brought her back out and I noticed the correction to the coat on her head but the right side was still very long and didn't appeared cut at all. I brought this to her attention. Bella was taken back three times before I stated if it can't be evened out on the right side, I don't expect to pay full price for the cut I paid for. The manager brought her out and stated "that was as good as they can do and that maybe they aren't skilled enough for her her cut and that maybe we are not a good fit". I stated that it's a cocker cut. I also stated that it is not fair and professional to say that when the mistake is not my fault. I also stated I don't expect to pay full price for the cut. She stated she would refund me for the cut. She asked a male associate to help her because she didn't know how to process a refund. She stated she was having issues with refunding the additional services for the conditioner package. I stated I only wanted a refund for the cut but she continued for a while until she was able to refund me 84.00 and stated maybe we can get it right the next time. I started I didn't have an issue with coming back and that I would. Based on her own statement that they might not be skilled enough, I asked who should I ask for the next time. She replied with "Maggie is her most skilled groomer". I then stated I have no issue with giving her another try, said our good days and I left. I decided later I would never go back based on Maggie sighing and rudely interrupting me and blaming her mistake on Bella's coat. read more

I had return a couple of unused items. I had the receipt and since my husband purchased them on his card (we have the same account) he refused to credit mine. He was a complete jerk about the entire situation. Had an issue at doggie day camp and the Pet hotel manager was helpful. The associate was yelling at our dog, squirted her on the top of her head multiple times, and moved some play equipment out of the way with dogs on top. I could not believe this was happening right in front of me! Wondered what was happening when I was not there. The hotel also screwed up our dogs portions a couple of times. Unfortunately, they gave her too little. Overall, I do not recommend using this Petsmart. Too many issues. read more

I have nothing against the store or the employees, in fact they were quite friendly. The issue is that their store front grossly overcharges for their products based on their own website. When confronted they say yes the website is different, but if you have the online price with you we will price match. I'm sorry but I shouldn't have to price match your own company. I bought 6 items and after price matching I saved $90! Sorry petsmart, but I will no longer be shopping at your store front, and most likely not online. Morgan was our groomer for our two min schnauzers. She was super friendly, professional and efficient. Our pups have had some bad experiences in the past so I wasn't sure at first as this was our first visit but both dogs came out "smiling" and beautiful without any problems! The usual place we take our dogs to get hair cuts was under remodel so we decided to go here. THAT WAS A HUGE MISTAKE! When we picked up our dogs it looked like they had put one in the blender and hoped for the best. Her ear hair was cut way to short and was uneven. On ear was longer than the other. They also cut the hair on her face way too short and now she looks weird. All we wanted was a simple Shitzu hair cut but we got something completely different. My dog looks so ugly! VERY VERY BAD Experience! The Groomer totally butchered our Dogs to a point that my Labradoodle is bald and has lines and chops of hair in a bunch of spots all over them. I really could have done a better job with clippers myself. The worst part about the whole situation is when we got there we waited in the back of the store for like 5-8 minutes and even looked in the door windows to see if we could find someone that worked in grooming but no one was there so we went to get someone from the front of the store. They were nice and helped us get our dogs but when they got someone they said the groomer couldn't wait and she had to run out. She called us at exactly 7:04 and we arrived at the store at 7:38. After they went in the back and brought the dogs out my wife gasped and asked the lady what did you do to my dogs, she started walking away saying she doesn't work in grooming and there is nothing she can do. We went to the front of the store and spoke with a manager named Stephen, Real Nice guy and he immediately offered us a refund and another haircut for the dogs, he apologized several times. We said we will take care of it tomorrow because it was already late and we were already pretty upset. Then today while I was at work I received a call from the grooming manager Christina at exactly 2:17 pm and she was polite for the most part as well and asked me to bring the dogs in so she can see them herself but she will only be there until 5 PM. I told her I will try to be there by 5PM but only with one dog because it is chaotic with 3 dogs. I asked her why she waited so late to call me if she was only going to be there until 5 pm and she said she just found out. I have to admit this annoyed me pretty bad because we were remarkably upset last night. So I did my best to leave work early and get there by 5 pm but I couldn't make it because I work downtown Denver. I figured I would call and speak with the store Manager, when I called I asked for a manager and a man named Blake answered the phone. (THIS IS THE REASON FOR THIS REVIEW). I have never been treated so rude in my life, he told me that i should have been there by 5 pm like I said I would and they cannot just trust me that the dogs haircut was messed up and that I shouldn't have made the groomer wait for me for 2 hours. He said Stephen wasn't a full manager and he cannot make the decision that only the grooming manager can make that decision, He kept being very aggressive and talking over me raising his voice saying what do you want me to do? I kept just asking him if he could have the store manager call me that i was very upset. I asked him to take my number and he said that the only number he could take was my wife's number because our rewards number was under her cell phone number. I told him i wanted to talk to the manager not her and he kept raising his voice and talking over me telling me he has worked for Pet Smart for 15 years and he was senior and the store manager I think the name was troy or something would take 2-3 days to even get back to me. I told him he was being recorded because he was being rude and he accused me of calling him retarded and kept ranting. I told him I did not say that and that I would never say that to anyone I began giving him my cell phone and he hung up on me. This was a horrible, Horrible experience and I would recommend everyone stay away from this PetSmart I have attached pictures of my dog's butchering. It's to bad because it is closer to my house but the PetSmart on University Is AWESOME so I will start going back there as I never ever had any issues like this there. I hope Management reads this and calls me so I can share how bad this phone call was with this manager Blake as he really made PetSmart look really bad I even told him I could just post the Pictures on Google reviews for them to see and he said he did not care. I also attached the receipt of $181.80 for a disaster of a job they did grooming my dogs. I have no idea how i am going to fix a dog with a bald streak down the top of her head. read more
