Started off great, but I've since learned some troubling things about this location and its franchise owner. Staff turnover is constant--which isn't surprising, given that the owner seems to care more about profit than people. I've also heard of multiple OSHA violations that have resulted in fines, some of which are reportedly still outstanding. Most concerning, I recently learned that boarded dogs were left sitting in soiled kennels due to a lack of available staff. It's incredibly disappointing, especially since our boy has been going here for three months. I truly hope corporate steps in to investigate and get this location back on track. read more

I use to love Camp Bow Wow Littleton until about two months ago when they changed management. Last time I went to pick up my dog on a Saturday there was NO employee there from 11 o'clock to 4 PM even though their hours are 8 AM to 8 PM. I almost called the police, but I called a different Camp Bow Wow who contacted the corporate office to get someone to unlock the door so I can get my dog. The manager was unapologetic. She said she fired all the employees when she started since they were acting up. She does not believe the customer is always right and she didn't apologize. She just stating that this happens all the time because they don't have any employees. Also, according to the WebCams, they have more than 15 dogs per person/employee, which is the state limit. I think camp Littleton is great. But someone told me when I bought days they would transfer to any Camp Bow Wow. We moved and I asked the camp Bow Wow there if I could get a credit for what I already purchased. They said it was a franchise and the days I would not transfer. They said each one is a franchise. I completely understand that. I contacted the Camp Bow Wow in Littleton. They credited a portion of what I purchased, but not all of it. She some times stays a day or over night. Both are well managed. All the campers get a rest period in kennels. If one is grumpy or aggressive it gets a time-out. I'm surprised to see such low reviews for this location! My pup has been going there for 2 months now and LOVES IT! He knows when he is going to day care when I pull out his bag. He loves it there! I rescued him and he had issues being around other dogs (one of the reasons why I put him in day care) and now he is happy and comfortable around other dogs! The staff is great and knowledgeable. I'm unbelievably livid. I watched my dog's first day in daycare at this facility and he got mounted well over 30 times. All day long. (I work with computers, so I had a monitor up with their Webcams from 8am to 5pm; the only times I wasn't able to watch him was between 1030-12 due to a meeting, and between 230-330 when I went to lunch) There was only one occasion where someone pulled the dog off. There were caretakers right there and they didn't do a damn thing. I was stressed all day watching it, but couldn't do anything because I was at work. When I got there and asked what their policy was regarding mounting/humping, the "manager" told me they should've been taking the dogs off. Fine. It's clear they weren't doing so. I was shaking and on the verge of crying, cuz my dog is submissive, he doesn't make dogs stop. He's pretty much a wuss. She then proceeded to tell me it was HIM going after other dogs, which simply isn't true. I WATCHED ALL DAY. PLUS, if that's the case, you should be pulling him off other dogs then. Whether my dog is the humper or the humpee (lol), THE ACTION SHOULD BE STOPPED. I offered to sit with this woman (short hair, skinny, young) and the owner to watch the video because saying he was the aggressor is absolutely something I would LOVE for you to show me. Not sure why there are such low ratings . We have had the absolute BEST experience with camp bow wow Littleton! Their staff is caring and loving to the dogs . They know us by name and my dog loves it here . My dog had some anxiety at first and they worked with her to make her comfortable. Their staff is attentive and most importantly loves dogs. I watch on the camera often and the staff is constantly petting and loving on the dogs. It's a relief to know that my dog can have a place to play during the day while I'm at work. So let me start by saying that my dog, Batman, LOVES Camp Bow Wow (CBW). We went there for about a year, and he was always excited to get there and play with all the other dogs. He also loved the staff. That being said, we had to stop going (he is now at Dogtopia off County Line / Quebec). Why? Well, unfortunately Batman was diagnosed with seizures about 4 months ago. They aren't the extremely bad kind (Grand Mal); but nonetheless, do require some pretty serious medication (Chlorazepate - 37.5 MG, twice daily) to control. Otherwise, he has tremors and will hide in the coolest, darkest place in the room. I left Batman at CBW on June 11th, with food, bed, toys and his medicine. The medicine was in one of those pillboxes where you put the exact dose in the compartment for each day of the week, and time of day. In this case, 3 pills for each early AM, and 3 for each late PM. I wrote the instruction on the bottom of the pill case, plus the dosage & doctor info (Dr. Lane, VRCC - Awesome! But that is another review...) on the bottom of the case. I also covered it with the staff at check-in. However, after picking Batman up on 6/18, I got home to find that literally 50% of his medication was NOT GIVEN! Not only that, the dosage was given at, what appears to be, entirely random increments. 1 pill, 2 pills, no pills... Especially around something as serious as mediation / health. That being said, I wanted to be fair to CBW, and give them a chance to respond. However, over the last 1.5 months, I've sent 7 emails both to the Littleton location and the corporate office. No response. I then left 4 voicemails, with varying degrees of response: FIRST RESPONSE ON 6/19, 11:36 a.m. ---- I got a voicemail from Matt that I could call him back, but he'd be leaving at 1:00. Unfortunately, I was not able to respond in 90 minutes, as I am always in Friday meetings from 8-2:30. Left a return voicemail on Monday. SECOND RESPONSE ON 6/26, 10:35 a.m. ---- Four days later, got a noncommittal / generic response.... again, that he'd be in until 1:00. Again, I'm booked on Fridays. THIRD RESPONSE ON 7/10 - 12:38 p.m. ---- I got a noncommittal / generic voicemail from Matt I should call back before 1:00, and letting me know it was his last day. I should contact Dave Foley, the manager from here out. Knowing that I'm difficult to get in touch with, I left them a voicemail & email asking that instead of playing phone tag, they provide 2 or 3 meeting time options. No direct answer to this request. FOURTH RESPONSE ON 7/20 - 2:06 p.m., - Voicemail from Dave Foley, to see if we could "get past" what happened with Batman. I was happy to get that last response from Dave, but at that point I had a work trip the next day (7/21) and was forced to find another location I just wasn't comfortable leaving Batman at CBW again. So, my request to CBW for future dogs / owners: 1) Give them their medicine - ALL their medicine. 2) Confused? CALL THE OWNER! 3) Still confused? CALL THE VET!!! 4) Give the dog owner more than an hour or two to respond to your voicemail. 5) Barring that, offer the owner 3 or 4 times / days which might work to talk. 6) Explain! Don't want to leave "evidence" of what happened via phone / email? Then try harder to get in touch with the owner. Once a week or less is not trying . 7) Apologize! We get that mistakes happen, but there was never an apology, or explanation given. I'm sad to have to write this review, but medication is a VERY serious topic. Five stars! There is a lot of great things about camp bow wow Littleton. I take my baby girl here for day camp weekly. They have the friendliest staff, very clean facilities, even camera views if you want to check in on your furbaby. They offer sweet things like a photo with Santa during the holidays, I got a mother day card signed by my Mona, & they made her a birthday collage. Before camp bow wow I had a few bad experiences with other day cares. I'm very happy I tried camp bow wow, I feel like they treat my pup as one of their own. In regards to their services I love that I can drop off my pup and get her nails trimmed and a bath when I pick her up on top of her being sleepy puppy from all the play time. I am confident they are taking great care of my pup. They have even featured my sweet baby girl on their Instagram a few times, I would highly recommend taking your pup/s here. read more

Called to set up an interview for my dog at the Camp Bow Wow in Littleton. While on their website, I ended up watching some of the live streaming. I was appalled by what I saw on one of the cameras. The woman working there was hitting dogs away when they would come over to her. She grabbed one dog by the skin on their neck and yelled at the dog in his face. She was spraying every dog with a water bottle even if they weren't doing anything. Not once in the 20 minutes I watched the cameras did I see one staff members actually pet one of the dogs. I immediately called back and cancelled my appointment. No thank you! read more

My dog was mauled by other dogs and left with deep lacerations and scaring abound his neck and chest. He has a bite mark scar on the side of his body and the camp keep telling me he was aggressive. My dog did not ever show any signs of aggression until spending 6 weeks at this camp. I recently noticed the scarring and hair loss from all the dogs or dog who has been using his neck as a chew toy. Currently he has a large laceration and deep tooth mark. This camp keeps telling me that my dog was the aggressive one and from the pictures clearly he is being mauled and attacked by one or several dogs for a the entire time. I have asked for video footage of the attacks and no response. They have tried to turn this on me and my puppy as if this is my problem but this dog is injured mentally and physically from this camp. I want a refund. Nobody has responded to the pictures I sent. Do NOT trust your dog is safe here. read more

I've been taking my dog Duncan to this location since it opened. FROM MY PERSPECTIVE: The staff is always friendly and they make it a point to remember you and you dog even if it 's been awhile since you've been there. It's expensive for me, but I feel so certain that my dog is taken care of and having such a good time that he doesn't even miss me while I'm away. I have given this day care place a ton of chances to prove me wrong, but I'm sad to say they failed. If you are in ANY sort of rush, hurry, or just care about being on time to things......DO NOT GO HERE. At every other day care that I've been to, it's usually a quick hello, drop off the dog, then you're gone. But here, be ready to spend a minimum of 5 minutes staring at the front desk person to "check in" your dog. Not only that, the place is pretty much a prison for these dogs. When I imagine a doggy day care, I picture large open spaces where dogs can at least JOG. This is literally just a small concrete room that they jam pack 40-50 dogs a day into, with a 10x10 "outdoor area." It's seriously a joke. After I learned about how much lack of space this place had, I get horrible. My dog needs EXERCISE. When I pick up my dog and he's more energetic than when I dropped him off...that's a huge problem. This place is a joke, very unorganized, they bring the wrong dog to you when you pick them up, they take FOREVER, etc. read more

Dropped off my dogs and Caroline instantly recognized me based on the interview my wife set up, describing my dogs. Both dogs (two little ones) were pooped out by the end of the day and crashed when they got home, not very typical of my yorkie. My small dogs managed to keep up with the big dogs. Kinda dissapointed they didn't offer me a tour, but then again I also didn't ask for one. Caroline was also very nice and helpful. Based on the webcam footage, the dogs are supervised during play and the staff will interact with my dogs too. Price is a little high, but at least we have a place to take my dogs on our longest work days. You must set up a free three-hour play time, so the staff can assess your pets. They ask that you come early in the morning because there's less dogs then. The webcam in the lobby had a good refresh rate, but when I watched from their website, there was a delay. Been bringing my dogs ( both rather big ass Hounds) to this location for 3-4 years now... 1 week to 10 days at a time.. no issues, great staff ...always remember my dogs by name ( not sure if thats a good sign..... ha..ha.. nervous laugh).... Let me say that we have been here several times. In March I would have given a 5 star review, but now in June I can't recommend anyone bring their fur babies here. If your dogs does more than lay around and is super complacent just don't. We boarded 2 dogs. One is 12 years old and one is 15 months. Positives: it appears clean and has large kennels. The dogs get to run most of the week and aren't stuck in their kennel the whole time. Now onto why I don't trust this place. The 12 yr old is Golden Retriever and is a very calm dog and doesn't do much - so he appears to have had an okay stay. They claim he didn't eat well - which is odd since he had boarded lots of times before and not had any issues. The 15 month old, lab, is used to a kennel and he is kennel trained. He is a grazer as well and might not eat all his food in one sitting - they also claim he didn't eat well. Aside from food issues, the lab is now TERRIFIED of his kennel. To the point that as we put his normal treat into the kennel before bed, he went in and then promptly turned and bolted, bending the metal-wire door of his kennel to get out. When I called to find out if something happened to cause him to be traumatized, I received subpar responses. "Well he did fight us and we had to shove him in the kennel." I asked if they tried a treat (which I had supplied) to see if that helped and the response was: "We don't have time for that. And if we had treats in our pockets we'd be attacked." She followed that with a laugh. I then asked if anything else happened negative? "I don't think so. We had a change of staff a month or two ago and got rid of any rough employees. So it should be better." NOTE: We loved this place in march - the dogs were happy. Whatever they did has taken 15 months of training and erased it in 8 days. He is finally, a week later, going into the kennel with a lot of snuggles first and a few extra treats. He still isn't sleeping at night in there, he sleeps with us. I have no nice words. I understand one bad day of learning how each dog reacts and behaves, but to not have tried positive reinforcement after that is unacceptable. DO NOT GO HERE especially if you have a high energy puppy. read more

Great doggie daycare and boarding. My old basset does well here and I love that he is able to play all day with boarding at night. Would love to see some more water options for the dogs on hot days (more kiddie pools, sprinklers, etc.) but overall good staff and experience. This place is great. I use it frequently for impromptu drop-off (love that they do half-days, not every day care place offers that) and for longer kennel stays. I've never had any issues and my dog gets lots of exercise while he's there. He's a Brittany so he definitely needs it. Plus, I like that I can watch him playing on the webcam to check on him. I bring my dog here everyweek. I like this daycamp because the staff is nice and they take care of the dogs well. They split the big dogs and little dogs into two areas. And each area has it's own cameras so you can check on your dog during the day. Doggy day camp isn't cheap, but this one at least gives my dog a chance to play nearly all day (1 hour naptime at lunch). So I feel like it's worth it bc my pooch is tired afterwards. read more

He loves it, the staff knows his name, and I have no complaints. They are now working through whether he stays with the "littles" or goes in with the older dogs, and I trust that to go well. Me and my dogs (three of them) LOOVEE this place. We have been taking our dog to few locations all over Denver area, by far this is the best one. People that work here are amazing!!! When checking on my dogs over the camera, I always see employees petting the dogs and paying attention to them. That makes me very happy. My dogs go there at least once a week, and they come home very very tired. Every time I call the place, they are always so friendly and happy to help. If there is any incidence during the play day, they make sure they inform us. I cant say enough about this place. The only thing I would like to see is their updated social media posts. I dropped off a job application to this Camp Bow Wow and was told that someone would get in contact with me. After about a week, I called and was told that they received my application and would get back to me soon. After another 5 days, I called again, but once again, was told that someone would get back to me. As frustrating as this was for me to get no response, it rather showed me what type of establishment the managers were running. I really wanted to like this place - my dogs went in for their half day "interview" and then back a day later for grooming services and developed kennel cough a few days after. Both of my dogs are up to date on their vaccinations. When I called asking about a refund policy, I was informed that there was an outbreak of kennel cough - isn't that something you should be informed of before leaving your pets there? I didn't get a refund and on top of the fee for camp bow wows grooming services and half day of doggie day care I spent $300 on vet bills. read more

I would never take my dog here they reprimand your dogs by hitting them in the face. The only people they really have working there a 16-year-old kids it really don't know what they're doing they can't even put on a harness correctly and take my dog there five times and every single time I've picked him up the harness is bent backwards or around one leg I would never take my dog here this is one of the worst places to ever go and when they have too many dogs they turn you away and so you can't bring your doggy daycare and then they call you up and then yell at you on the phone such as Peter at the front desk. This is one of the most horrible day cares to take your dog to. I would never recommend anyone use their services, hence why it has one star read more
