I recently took our two dogs, Cooper and Sadie, to the PetSmart groomers, and I just have to give the highest praise to Angel for the phenomenal care she gives our babies every single time. Cooper is now three years old (he's our big Labrador/Newfoundland mix, over 100 pounds!), and Sadie is 11 (our sweet American Pitbull and Siberian Husky mix). From the moment my husband and I arrived, Angel was prompt, kind, and ready to take great care of them. Even though it was busy, Angel greeted us right away as soon as we walked in the grooming door. She checked us in smoothly and handled Cooper and Sadie with so much patience and love. What really stood out to me is how calm Cooper has become thanks to consistent visits, Angel even mentioned how proud she was to see how well he's grown into the grooming routine. It means so much to us to know that our dogs feel comfortable and safe with her. Their coats came back shiny and beautiful (I always get the Furminator treatment!), and they looked so happy and well cared for when we picked them up. Angel truly goes above and beyond, not just for our dogs, but for everyone's. It shows in how my babies react when they see her, they know they're in good hands and their whole energy calms down. That says everything to me about the trust she builds. I'm so grateful for Angel and the love she puts into her work. She's a true gem, and my family appreciates her so much. Good PetSmart - overall. Most interactions I have had were great, except one where the employee was too lazy to advise eon stock of a product. She said "I think they are on aisle..." and when I replied. that I didn't not see them there - her response was "well we are probably out, I think that is where they would be" and she walked away. I found someone else who looked in the two places they might be, then her little device and told me they were getting some in not he truck that just arrived. I went with the intention of buying a new fish for my tank. A sweet young lady that was helping me (Madison, if I remember correctly) was really helpful in explaining that my tank wasn't big enough to add another fish with the two very large gourami's I already had in it. Just received a online order for a 28lb bag of blue buffalo puppy food and a26lb bag of wellness adult dog food and both had maggots crawling in them cob webbs inside of them. How the bags were sealed still I have no clue but they were either sitting forever or packaging for dog food is unacceptable either way not feeding my dogs this or shopping here ever again have never had this issue with chewy or Petco. Shopped here for the price and now I see why it was $20 cheaper it's old and bug infested to save $20 no way just payed $3000 for my German shepherd puppies surgery from a illness not gonna feed her infested food and pay another $3000 for surgery from another bacterial infection. Update they did send two fresh bags immediately and delivered them the same day and both were good no bug or anything beware and make sure to check your pets food when it arrives. Grooming Dept Only - I booked a Bath and Full Haircut for my ShiChi. When I picked her up her hair didn't look, feel or smell clean. The groomer had sprayed her with some unfavorable perfume. I kept telling myself there was no way the groomer would send her home and scam me by not bathing her. However, she was indeed not bathed!!! When I bathed her at home I could see the water coming off her and it was dirty. I called and talked to the manager of the Grooming Dept. She did offer to 'make it right', but he groomer broke my trust and I declined the offer. We had an amazing experience with Ronda for training classes for our puppy! Ronda is super smart, explains things very well and really loves animals. She is such a natural and we learned a lot! After all, these classes are more for the owners than the dogs! It was a lot of fun and very informative with lots of tips and tricks to help your dog. My 16 year old cat needs a prescription diet that sent me on the hunt for special cat food. My first stop was a Petco in Greensboro that employees looked at me like I was a lost soul when I inquired about the food and pretty much told me to leave the store. My second pet store stop experience was slightly more polite. That led me to this store feeling rather defeated. Repeating my search for food, I had three staff all happily explaining what I needed and leading me to the right place. Renée my cashier was particularly helpful. I honestly went to this location as an updated review for y'all. I only came here to get a few things for my cat, Tonks. This is a nice location, in my opinion, to shop at multiple places. The store is located in the same plaza as Ross, TJMaxx, Staples, UPS store, and Harris Teeter. My first impression walking into the store was that they were very busy and short staffed for the amount of people shopping there. Which, isn't the staffs fault...they're working as hard as they can. Yeah, it's dimly lit throughout the entire store making people think it's a trashy place to shop at. However, I'm the positive peach who appreciates these types of stores because they're convenient and have everything for my pet all in one place. The shelves were fully stocked throughout every aisle (I was mainly in the cat section). They had a lot of seasonal things already put on the shelves as well, such as dog costumes and what have you. ***I always recommend to price check what you're grabbing off of the shelf. Make sure you go on their website and search what you're buying, because a majority of the time it's cheaper on their website. When you're at the counter, they're polite and happy to edit the price according to what it shows online. Yes, I had to wait a while in a line full of people because they had only one cashier open. Big whoop though, it doesn't really bother me. If you come here, just reserve a little extra time in case you have to wait, that's all. read more

For some reason this last appointment I made was cancelled because my dog is too old..... I've never heard of such a thing. Yea she is a senior dog but still runs around like a puppy, energy and all. So apparently PetSmart no longer cut senior dogs hair, because of there age and possible health issues. Age is a number and health issues can happen at any age. read more

went to check out an aquarium that was online, when I got to the store, no one was really working, cashier was texting on her phone at 545 pm on Sunday and FINALLY got her attention and she called someone to help me, and SHE was the rudest person I have ever meet, it was like I DISTURB HER break, I was told I could only get the extra discount if I order on line which is STUPID since I would have to pick the SAME ITEM in the store, it only meet I would have to DRIVE HOME, order wait an hour then DRIVE BACK and pick up the SAME EXACT ITEM. but didnt matter to her, I asked about another setup and was told I would have to put together the cabinet even though it is advertisement as Ensemble COMBO. Even though I bought one EXACTLY like the one in the store. The longer we stayed the RUDER she got and she did let us LEAVE without a purchase, When I got home I tried to order the smaller one and ON LINE it stated it was OUT OF STOCK in every store in the area EVEN THOUGH I physically touched one a few minutes earlier, I did put into my cart the larger one AFTER I did a screen shot of the ad and showing NOT IN STOCK, So the next day I went back to the store and looked for the manager who we have dealt with before and he actually gave me a HARD TIME when I said I wanted to get that item and the additional 20% off as per the sale, and he said that was the ON LINE price which I showed him the paper showing out of stock in HIS STORE PLUS he was standing right next to it, still nothing, and on top of it if I order the larger item which said on line said only a few left, ONLY FEW means MORE THAN ONE, he then stated they did NOT have one in stock they could sell as the cabinet was missing a KNOB, which it was missing SAME KNOB for over 5 months and no one could go to HOME DEPOT and get a matching pair, and if I had ORDERED it, he would have cancelled the order, NOT TRANSFER it to another store, SO IN BOTH cases THIS STORE would have screwed me out of on ONE PURCHASE $45 discount that I WOULD have been entitled to IF they had matched on line and in store inventories, or on the OTHER which he could have said he would have just transferred the order to another store but NO, just cancel it which means if I tried to get I would have been screwed out of $98, NO MATTER what on line orders or in store doesnt matter the customer is NEVER RIGHT even if they are shown PROOF they are wrong, They would rather LOSE a sale and a customer than make things right, If I had bought both items I would have spent with taxes over $900 and MORE after I started setting up, NOW I will be shopping somewhere else, And the store manager that I once thought highly of months ago is NOT that good at all, and I ran into a FORMER employee of that store who had a lot of NOT TO KIND remarks bout him and how he REALLY treats customers and employees. In general, Petsmart is the equivalent of Walmart when it comes to pet supplies. I had an experience with the High Point store on Eastchester Drive and found their customer service to be dismal. What happened?? I took my dog to have his nails clipped one evening. Upon arriving they indicated his rabies shot documentation had expired. As a result, they were unable to trim his nails. In the glove box of my car, I had an itemized bill from the Vetrinarian indicating the dog's next rabies booster shot wasn't due until December of this year. They were unwilling or unable to accept this as sufficient documentation. I left the store gritting my teeth, but trying to understand the store policy. The following day, I contacted my veterinarian and asked them to release the information when Petsmart called. Immediately afterward, I contacted Petsmart and asked them to contact my veterinarian directly. They willingly agreed. At the time, I was impressed with this level of customer service. Boy was i to be surprised. About 30 minutes later, the associate from Petsmart called and left a message on voicemail that "everything is good to bring your pup to get his nails done". That evening, upon arriving at Petsmart, I was informed no documentation had been received from my Vetrinarian. I played the voice message for the nail trimming girls, the front end manager, and the store manager. They all u apologetically indicated that without the written document they could not trim his nails. They completely ignored the fact that their associate indicated I should bring the dog that evening because everything was OK. It was particularly disappointing that no one seemed to care or accept responsibility for the fact that the store had left a message telling me to bring the dog for the service. After this, my second and final attempt to have his nails trimmed, I left the store steaming mad, and I am determined to never return. If you value doing business with a well organized and customer service oriented organization, you should avoid Petsmart at all cost. read more

Thoroughly disappointed in my experience with PetSmart. I arrived with my cat for a grooming appointment scheduled two weeks earlier. The person who met me in the pet grooming area wanted to see proof of rabies vaccination, but was completely unfamiliar with the rabies vaccination tags that veterinarians provide as legal proof of vaccination. The PetSmart employee I met wanted me to call my veterinarian so they could hear the veterinarian confirm that the rabies vaccination was current, so I dialed the veterinary hospital where my cat received her rabies vaccine. As I worked on getting past the automated assistant to get to a live person the PetSmart employee walked away to take care of a customer who arrived several minutes after me, so I hung up. The employee came back and I dialed again, and the employee was unwilling to wait to get verbal confirmation from the veterinary hospital. I was told to "go in and get one of us when you have someone on the phone." Apparently the PetSmart employee doesn't realize that a veterinary hospital provides medical care, and it would be unfair to expect an employee at a veterinary hospital whop might be dealing with a client whose pet has a serious medical issue because an arrogant groomer with an overblown sense of importance couldn't spend a minute waiting for a live person to verify my cat's vaccination status. Even more surprising is that the PetSmart employee seemed unaware that the veterinary hospital would be spending time on this with no compensation in order to satisfy an unnecessary requirement (unnecessary since I already had proof of vaccination on a tag on my cat's collar). PetSmart lost in the end. Since the employee was unwilling to make even an attempt at providing customer service, I left. PetSmart lost a pet grooming time slot they could have been paid for, and PetSmart also lost a customer. I will not shop at any PetSmart again. When a business that exists solely to sell products and services for pets but is unaware of what a legal proof of vaccine tag is, I don't have confidence in trusting my pet's safety to that business. Horrible experience with groomers yesterday! Almost $60 to trim face and sanitary areas. They did not trim anything else and refuse to make it right. They were given explicit directions, didn't follow them and now the general manager states we have to pay for another full grooming. That's not good management, that's damage control. Groomer injured my poodle (honest mistake) and had to be treated with stitches by onsite veterinarian. After a rocky start, management then resolved the issue to our satisfaction. However, on a new visit today I picked up my dog and was told by another manager that the original compensation agreement was "against company policy". We are tired of the unnecessary drama each time we visit this location. I have NEVER given a Yelp review before today, but can definitely state "do not groom your dog here". Quality, customer focus, and communication with customers are all questionable depending on the manager of the day. Update: 5/9/17: corporate management contacted me and was genuinely contrite, and made a good faith effort to resolve the issue. It took time and effort, but ultimately corporate management changed a very rocky situation into something better. read more

I took my dog for her to have a "spa" day. This consisted of a bath, "brush", nail trim and a nail grind for $51.00. I drop her off and they call about an hour later saying she's 20 minutes from being ready. I go and pick her up. I was rubbing on her, giving her loves, and noticed that hair was just steady coming off of her. I got her in the car and brought her home. I got her out of the car, came in and got her brush and spent the next 20 minutes brushing her out. I called Petsmart and spoke with Jessica. She said that she was brushed after the bath. I told her I know her type sheds alot but there was no way she was brushed ( this isn't my first time bathing the dog or having her bathed). She put me on hold and Tiffany picked up. She explained to me, like I was stupid that a pit will shed alot, especially this time of year. I told her I know about the breed and that I've had the dog for 11years so I know that they shed coats but that I know the difference of her being brushed out or not. She then told me if I wanted her brushed better then I need to pay for it. I told her I paid for her to be brushed correctly the first time when I paid $51.00. They didn't honor any of my request in regards to my pets grooming session. When I came in for my appointment at 8am I was attempting to make sure what I wanted was vocalized properly and Nicole was just trying to sell me a CHI package instead of listening. That's exactly why my dogs haircut was wrong. I asked for her face to be rounded off instead it's cut all weird like she's wearing a sun visor. The hair around her mouth smells as if her face wasn't washed. They didn't put the bows in her hair like I paid for. Her tail is barely cut which is weird since they made her body bald. No more PetSmart for me!!! I've been taking my dogs to PetSmart for grooming and today was the last straw. The girl told me my appointment was for 3pm. I got there and another girl told me it was for tomorrow. Had she said 3pm tomorrow I would not have gone today, DUH. On a previous appointment I had to leave work early to get the only late afternoon appointment available for that week, and when I got there they said a girl called out and they couldn't do my dog. I ask why didn't they call me so I wouldn't have to leave work early and got no answer from her. Another appointment, when I arrived I was told again someone called out and they couldn't get to my dog, but took the dog that came in while I was standing there. My daughter has my poodle's 2 sisters. One of the girls decided since one of daughter's is larger than the other 2 she changed her breed to a cockapoo and charged $15 more for her. She had no legal right to change the breed. I argued with her and the next visit my dog was changed to a cockapoo and she tried to charge me the higher rate. All 3 dogs are reg. poodles. After weeks of fighting with them they changed the dogs back to the correct breed, but after that every 2 months their rates increased - imagine that. Management is no help what-so-ever and there is a different grooming manager each visit. Store manager was nice but no help either If you don't want to play the cat and mouse game with them or deal with their drama, I suggest you find a different place to groom your pets. read more

I got the basic bath package for my dog. It was a little over $30. It included ears and nails too, which seemed like a great deal to me. I thought the people at the salon were very sweet to both me and my dog. The whole thing lasted maybe two and a half hours which was right within the time I was quoted. I've never seen my dog look so clean and pretty. If I had the money I'd take her back every week! read more

Employees don't go out of their way to be helpful, but this store has all the basics and accepts coupons. It's basically the Wal-Mart of pet supplies. Me and my boyfriend bought ourselves a 10 gallon fish aquarium from here. We were so excited about what kind of fish to put it and all the decorations. While we were in there that day we bought the starter kit aquarium a lady who worked in the fish department ,let us know everything about how to prime the tank before fish can be safe to go in . So we set everything up and put the rocks in and obviously the water :) .Everything was great and she also said they get fish in on Friday which was perfect. So we went in on Friday excited about picking the fish out. Right off the bat this girl was rude to me and my boyfriend. We were looking at the fish for awhile trying to figure out what we wanted and finally decided and asked her to bag the fish . She immediately asked us what we were putting the fish in .I said a 10 gallon tank . Her response was "Don't even look at those fish " absolutely rude to us about the fish we loved and we currently have now ;) Go figure! She led us toward the other side and told us these are the only fish we can put in there . All were gold fish ! I was so livid at this point but of course I was nice . I started to picked some out as well as my boyfriend and asked her back over to help . Pointed them out and then of course we couldn't get those because we were only allowed 6 fish for some reason . She did not explain her self in anyway as to why ? And I of course was like that's fine then I'll just get those . She then says " Anything else " me and my boyfriend looked at each other so confused as to what was this girl even talking about so we just left ! No fishys for us later when we got home put the aquarium back in the box after dumping the water and such called the Manger told her everything that happen . Went back over there got my money back and I'm never going to this petsmart again !!! If I could give zero stars, I would. This petsmart sold me a sick snake that had a respiratory infection, and didn't disclose that information to me prior to buying, which I of course could have done something to help it. In exactly 1 week and 3 days, the snake that I purchased passed away due to the respiratory infection it got in the stores care. The workers have ZERO knowledge on their animals, and all they could tell me was that the snake "might be a male" without having to use google. I have a ball python at home, that I've had for many years, and the manager that I spoke to (Kimberly) had slightly pushed and tried to subtly hint that the infection could be my fault after admitting that mostly everyone that works in there has no clue what they're talking about when it comes to animals without using their phones to google search an answer. Then she proceeded to tell me to keep a dead snake, a dead pet, until the first few days of October once I was back in town from work and bring the DEAD snake back in for a refund. Extremely unprofessional, and if the people working in there have no knowledge on the animals their selling other than a possible gender, then they need to be fired. And people who actually can help care for these animals, and actually know what they're talking about should be in that store. I have been taking my cockapoo here for the past 6 yrs. and love the patience of the personnel and groomer with both me and Scooter. They have always been nice and guided me with suggestions when I asked for them. It does take a while with Scooter as he does not like anyone messing with his paws, but they always say they didn't have a problem and he got a great report card...LOL... read more

I took my husky here to get her groomed. I booked the appointment online and then when I dropped her off the front lady was rude as can be. She didnt understand what I was trying to tell her, which was to just trim my husky's coat down about an inch. She kept trying to get me to shave her all the way down, which everyone knows you cant do with huskies because they have two coats. I finally leave and 20 minutes later get a phone call from petsmart saying that I will be charged an extra 14-15 dollars that I wasnt quoted online or when I dropped her off. I decided to just pay the extra. My husky's appointment was for 3 hours so hour four hit and I was worried about my my baby. I called the store and the girl who answered told me she didnt know where my dog or groomer was and that she didnt think my dog was in the store at all. It took them ten minutes to find someone who could tell me where my dog was. Five hours later when I was told my husky was done I got to pick her up and the groomer Karen was rude and told me that if I were to take better care of my dog then it wouldnt have taken her five hours to give her a bath and a trim. Needless to say I was livid and I will NEVER take my husky back to that store ever again and I advise that other people dont take their pets there either. read more
