DO NOT Take Your Dog to be groomed here. I have a dog that is 2 lbs. Yes 2 lbs! I took for a groom and they advise me that they were to nervous and difficult to groom. Went to make an appointment with another groomer, and guess who was there on the same day. Another pet mom who had been told the same thing by Petsmart. When they called the groomer, who was supposed to groom my dog from the back, she came up with a really perturbed look as if I was bothering her by even showing up to my appointment. I knew from the onset, this want going to go well. I was told it would be 3 hours and was called back in less than 30 minutes and told they couldn't do anything. Her appointment with the other groomer went great! If you wonder why when most other groomers are booked that Petsmart always has appointments, it's because they have a horrible reputation in grooming. read more

She yanks them and pulls on them and talks to them with a mean face and voice. Paula was extremely rude throughout the three different interactions I've had with her in the store. The first time she was yelling at me and my friend in front of the whole store and causing a scene that caused other customers and employees to start staring at us. She was being like this because we were buying "too many" items for our betta fish, which was completely untrue. Because of the bad experience with her we went to an actual fish store and they told us that everything Paula told us to put back for our fish was actually things we needed. The second and third time she was just simply being rude, not speaking to us and wasn't friendly. We also noticed that she was treating other customers like this as well as we watched her be rude to the customers in front of us too. I never have ever left a review on any business before, but the experience with Paula was so bothering it has caused me to leave a negative review. On the other hand, Genevieve was extremely nice and helpful and told us exactly what we needed for our fish. Please look into who you are hiring for customer service positions because you need to be hiring more people like Genevieve. read more

Our dog has been vomiting and having diarrhea ever since staying at the Pet Hotel at the Woodruff Road location. When I called to see if their vet would see him since he has been very sick since staying there, the manager was right beside the employee who answered the phone and would not even speak with me. She had the employee deny any responsibility on their end and tell me that if we wanted their vet to see him, we would have to make an appointment and that we would still be responsible for paying the fees for the vet. Love this store. I know there has been a lot of bad press with Petsmart, from the groomers to Banfield (the vet inside) however, I have no complaints. I have a 2 year old Cavalier, he's always went to this location for his grooming and veterinary needs. I have never had a bad experience. It's always clean, and stocked. I WILL NEVER let my dog stay in their pet HOTEL again! He has come home after a 5 day stay (his longest ever), and this was the 3rd time using them, with the worst rash ever on his testicles. They tried to tell us it was because he wasn't neutered. Come to find out, it's because he was sitting in his own pee and possibly poop FOR WHO KNOWS HOW LONG! They apparently don't know how to clean well. I also now question wether they actually took him on walks or if he even had play time. So now I'm out of nearly $300 for his stay and grooming and treats, but I will also have to pay for this vet bill and medicine!!!!! EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED especially after they appeared so nice and seemed to "LOVE" our dog. I went to this store for the first time to get my Westie "Casper" groomed - the works, a Westie trim, his nails, brush teeth, everything....! (We are pretty new to this area and have several other PetSmart's as well as others to compare to, by the way.) He was worked on by "Jennifer" and she just did an absolutely amazing job with him. His nails are finally short enough - vet couldn't get them down, or other groomers. I am proud of him now, he seems to love how he looks, and before we left the store, bought him a new wardrobe. I took my pet Goldendoodle to the PetSmart Hotel in the Woodruff Road store in Greenville, SC. PetSmart is a well-known brand, so I thought she would get good care. When I picked her up after 4 days, she was dirty and smelled really funky like she had been closed up in a closet the whole time. But what really bothered me was what I saw on my way in to the Pet Hotel lobby. There was a playroom with a big window where you could watch the dogs "playing", if you call sitting on various plastic platforms with a TV on in the background playing. There was a staff person with them but she was so engrossed in her phone, she had almost no contact with the dogs, even the sweet one who was standing in front of her with his paw on her leg, asking to be petted. Poor little doggie just wanted a little bit of attention. I understand that it might get kind of boring, just sitting with a bunch of dogs. But she might not have been so bored if she was doing what she was being paid to do, i.e. play with the dogs. I doubt I will be boarding my dog there again. read more

My wife received a call about 15 min prior to our pet appointment not only to cancel the appointment but to state it was 1/2 earlier . In respect they should let costumers know about changes in a timely fashion and not to make us waist time in the process. I have been trying to call Banfield all morning to take my sick dog in and no one was answering the phone. So I called PetSmart to ask them what the deal is and if they can figure out why no one is answering because I need to get an appointment. Clearly I was on speaker and I heard someone in the background say "Are you kidding me? Then just come in!" They quickly put me on hold. I called back to let them know I heard what was said and I couldn't "just come in" because my dog is having diarrhea and I don't want him to go all over the store if we are going to have to wait. The girl on the phone made an excuse that the other girl was on the phone with someone else when she said that. (Even if that was the case, so unprofessional!) She then transferred me back to Banfield where someone did answer the phone but then put me back on hold for another 5 minutes. read more

This is such a great place! We uses the the doggy day care 4-5 days a week. They take such great care of our Riley! You know it's great when he stands up and starts wagging his tail when turning into the shopping area. We see it when he wags good-bye to them as well. We also use this hotel when we need to board Riley. And because we are regulars, if something comes up last minute, e.g. medical emergency; all we have to do is give them a few hour notice and they keep overnight. read more

I've taken my dog here a couple times. I know a lot of people that do. Unfortunately because of my experience on my last visit, I will not be returning, nor can I recommend anyone trust their loved one at this location. I dropped my dog off for day camp and had scheduled her to be groomed during the day as well. After I checked her in to the day camp, someone from grooming came down to have me sign some paperwork and pick her up for grooming. I watched them walk her back to grooming. When I returned to pick her up 9 hours later, the day camp pet hotel people didn't know where she was. They realized she was at the groomer still. They proceeded to charge me for day camp and the grooming services. I was really confused because I watched her go to the groomer in the morning at drop off and it was now 8:30PM. I walked back to pick her up at the groomer very confused. It turns out that after they gave her a bath, they NEVER returned her to day camp. She spent 9 hours in a cage in the grooming area. She didn't get to play with the dogs at day camp, she wasn't fed, and she wasn't let out to use the bathroom. The manager did refund me for both day camp and the grooming. Any issues I've raised at this location, the attitude has been,"yeah that sucks, but its not our problem." After this scenario, I don't trust that anyone who works here actually cares about the well being of the dogs or stepping in when an animal isn't being cared for. read more

This place is awesome for training! Elizabeth the trainer there is beyond understanding when it comes to dogs. I found a hound dog and I totally did not understand what I was getting into my dog had so much energy and so many problems with excessive barking. Elizabeth was so understanding she really taught me how to communicate and have the confidence to take him on walks the dog parks anywhere my home was chaos before but now it's very calm and happy can't recommend the classes enough for any dog!!! read more

Took My Dog Snickers to PetSmart as walk in for Nail grinding. He's a regular customer so I ask if they had time to do a bath for him. They told me yes, they could fit him in this was around 12;45 and they had an opening at 1:30 for him. They verified this with me before I left, Top Dog package with oatmeal shampoo and nail grind, teeth brush. I said yes. I usually get him the Top Dog package along with nail grinding and tooth brushing. They did do a nice job on nail grinding for him, however the bath that was promise and the one I paid 47.99 for wasn't done. My dog smell terrible when I pick him up. I had already gone and paid it because they usually do a great job. But this time they did not do his bath or brush his teeth, he smell terrible after getting him in the car. I check his ears which was still dirty and his bottom was still dirty too. Usually my Dog loves going there but I think they just left him in a cage after the nails was done. I am very disappointed with PetSmart. Unfortunately the Salon tech name that did this was on the receipt that I gave to the cashier to pay and I didn't get their name. read more
