Anyone that saw her were as shocked as we were. You could see her pink skin where there was no hair The excuse, "You didn't tell us what you wanted". Is there a difference between saying a trim and shaving my dog? We said a trim. It has taken a month for me to be able to write this review. Paws and Refresh Pet Spa was recommended by a very dear friend whom I trust wholeheartedly. I took our dog several times. Second to last time I took our dog, there was an occurrence that made me feel a bit uneasy. I thought it was a "one off" and decided to take our pet back...again thinking that occurrence was a fluke. But from that occurrence on, professionalism was not a priority. Staff was not just inattentive--but outright rude. Attempting to make conversation, I was met with dismissive, curt responses, and there was a noticeable lack of basic courtesy. It created an unwelcoming environment that immediately put me on edge. More troubling, however, was my dog's reaction over time. What should have been a positive or at least neutral experience became something my dog clearly feared. Every visit ended with the same unsettling pattern--hesitation, anxiety, and eventually outright resistance just pulling into the parking lot. That alone speaks volumes. As for the grooming itself, my instructions were routinely ignored, and the results reflected a rushed, careless approach. My dog looked as though they had been hurried through the process rather than thoughtfully cared for. And if that weren't bad enough, he started developing an all over skin rash. For a place that claims to offer a "spa" experience, there was nothing relaxing, gentle, or attentive about it. Paws and Refresh Pet Spa markets itself as a place of comfort and care, but the reality could not be further from that image. Between the rude staff, the poor-quality service and communication and the clear distress it caused my dog, I strongly urge others to look elsewhere.
