I use to love Petsmart old groomers but recently they hired a new one I think her name is Stacey. TAKE YOUR DOG SOMEWHERE ELSE! Before this petsmart finally hired a new groomer I was driving to Milpas and I loved it there. My dog doesn't like haircuts but she's a shitzu so she needs them. She definitely gives a hard time but never will bark or bite at you only thing is she will take her away away that's all. At the SB petsmart she would be fully groomed every nicely cut. Meanwhile when I started taking her to the Goleta one I informed Stacey my dog is nervous but she's not aggressive. She took my dog in and when I picked her up after Stacey informs me that my dog is too difficult for her to groom her legs and paws. I paid for nail service and I did not receive it but Stacey still made me pay for all services. Last month I took my dog to get groomed I have a 4 month old so I cant really bath her like before. Her allergies act up during this time so I let Stacey know but she viewed it all as flea bites when really my dog gets so itchy she bites herself which only makes her worse. I've been dealing with this since she was a puppy. Stacey clearly didn't want to take her in but the manager said to give her an oat bath and flea medicine. My dog got taken in and 2hrs later Stacey calls me saying she doesn't feel comfortable proceeding. When I went to pick her up my dog wasn't at Petsmart anymore instead they took her to the vet without even asking me or informing me at all. I was really upset since 1. I have taken her to the vet for this specific reason and the only thing I could do was have her wear a cone and allow them to heal on their own since it was my own dog making her skin bleed. 2. My dog has anxiety which I told Stacey as well in the pre check in. The manager told me I wouldn't have to pay anything that my service was covered by them. Stacey kept insisting I make an appointment with her in advance so in 2 weeks she can cut her hair but at this time I'm tired of paying for service that she does not meet. Later that day I receive a voicemail from Stacey saying she needs my address for billing records which idk why she needs that since I did not need to pay, petsmart paid my bill. Definitely take your dog somewhere else otherwise you will get mediocre service just because the groomer doesn't want to put up with difficulties. Santa Barbara petsmart always left my dog looking amazing and never chopped off take your dog here and they will be left with an uneven haircut. My dog was left looking like she just came back from a fight she didn't win.

Their policy is more dogs in the kennel the better. Better off going to a private Groomer who will actually put time into your pooch.

Plenty of supplies but they only have a small selection of fish, no other animals, which is kind of a bummer.

Jeremy has experience with Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers while many groomers do not, and often defer to giving our precious Lola a golden doodle trim. Jeremy's traditional Wheaten cut was exactly what we were looking for: the preciseness, care, and thoughtfulness is exactly what we were looking for in our go-to groomer. We found the right place! Please support this small business that performs high quality grooming services. And Jeremy could not be more professional, nicer and more accommodating. Overall, a 10/10 experience. PS - our Lola is typically afraid to be dropped off at the groomers but this was the very first time she ran inside and was hopping around, no barking. It was a good sign and for good reason. See photos of her Wheaten Terrier haircut that looked a lot better in person! It's hard for her to stand still for the camera...

I have a six year old very gentle and calm 25lb mini-goldendoodle. He has been going to groomers since he was 8 months old and super used to the process. I just moved back to SB and have been looking for a new groomer and decided to give Angela a try. These are some of the negatives: - My pup had nicks and small cuts all over his body - His entire body was irritated with red bumps which was because she cut his hair way too short in sensitive areas (he did not have any matting except tiny ones which could have been brushed (Angela herself said this) - As a result, he has been itching and scratching non-stop - I had specifically asked her to trim his ears and tail which she didn't do - I had asked for a teddy bear puppy cut with a round mouth and she gave me back a traditional poodle, I spent 4 hours of my own time fixing this - She had said 3 hours and it was 5 hours I called Angela to see what had happened and why this had gone so terribly wrong. She was so defensive and aggressive in her tone and how she spoke to me. She said she had never once received a complaint in 30 year. I asked for a partial refund and she said no way and hung up. She then aggressively texted me demanding photos as proof and once she realized all he errors she apologized and offered to fix it. Needless to say I would never bring my dog back to someone who had carelessly treated him like this. On the styling, we could have better specified what I wanted but there is no excuses for the physical harm that happened to him. I do not recommend Angela's.

Will not be coming back…read more I am never the type of person to leave bad reviews, but I am so upset by the service I got at this groomer. For context, I have an Australian shepherd and she is very nervous in chaotic environments. So I've been trying to find a place that works for her and is more calm than the little dog house in Goleta. (Little Dog House does a great job groomer her, it is just the environment that stresses her out) Unfortunately, this place failed miserably. I made an appointment for 11:30am. When I dropped her off, I specifically asked for a SCISSOR CUT all over. The groomer commented on cutting a dog with a double coat and told me her hair would still be about 2 inches long. I understood and I very clearly said not to shave her, just an all over scissor cut and sanitary clean up. I don't think the groomer was listening to me or simply didn't care. I waited until 3:00 to call and check on her, almost 4 hours later. They told me it would be another 30-35 minutes... no call all day to let me know why it was taking so long, no update, nothing. I wouldn't have left her there that long if I'd known it was going to be almost 5 hours. Again, she hates chaotic environments, especially with other dogs around. I arrived at 3:45 and she was still on the table being groomed!! She must have been the last dog of the day. And not only that, they were shaving her with clippers. I was obviously very pissed. The receptionist told me that there was an emergency earlier in the day and it caused them to be off schedule because their only groomer had to leave for part of the day. I tried to be respectful and just waited until she was done so I could leave. Normally I wouldn't have cared & would've just left it alone. But the fact that they were shaving my dog when I specifically asked them not to was a tipping point for me. Not only that, but her cut looks horrible. They clearly shaved her all over because the cut is choppy and very short at the top. They also didn't even trim around her ears. There are mixed opinions about shaving double coated dogs, and I know she wasn't shaved to the skin, but I specifically asked for a scissor cut because I don't want to mess up her undercoat. That was what I asked for. If they couldn't give her an all over scissor cut, they should have just told me. And to be clear, it is only the groomer I have a gripe with. The receptionist was always nice and respectful and was apologetic when I called later. However, she told me that the groomer did give her a scissor cut, but had to switch to clippers because my dog wasn't being cooperative. And just based on how her fur looks, I'm sure this is a lie. They offered for me to bring her back to fix it, but I just wanted a refund because I didn't get what I asked for. The groomer refused to speak to me herself but told the receptionist to tell me they can't refund me. Needless to say, I won't be bringing my dog back and I'll be praying all summer that her coat grows back normally and she doesn't get any sunburns. Pictures below: before being groomed, after being groomed, and how she looked last time she was groomed with a scissor cut at little dog house.
