Stopped in this evening while working to grab a dog toy I forgot to order online a couple nights ago -- yes the giant pickle in the photo =) The employees were super friendly and offered assistance when I was walking aimlessly around the store. They helped me find what I was looking for and they were awesome to talk to during the check out process. I visit this store often, sometimes with my dog as well, and we always experience awesome customer service and a clean store. Reaper's favorite part is getting a treat at the register!

We took our pup for a puppy bath and trim. It took around 4 hours and when we got him, he looked happy and clean. The fur was nicely trimmed for our Lakeland Terrier. They trimmed his nails and blew dry the fur so he literally looks like an old woman after a day at the salon. Sarah was awesome as was the lady who took him in when we arrived. We will come back.

Before her appointment

Very rude.. not friendly.. took my dog in and she came out looking the same smelling the same, the lady that didn't working on my dog got smart.. I'm so pissed they said cuz she still a puppy. Mama she smells the same and she wasn't even cut a little.. worse service ever a waste of 60 dollars

"Cat specialist"

I booked an appointment for my cat to be bathed/groomed at PetSmart. We arrived, checked in, and began "the process". The "cat specialist" (Melanie L.) grabbed my cat out of his carrier and began handling him very rough. My cat was clearly not happy about the situation, but what cat would be during their first grooming appointment? Melanie L. clearly did not know how to handle a cat. After about five minutes Melanie L. returned to us stating that the grooming could not be done. She could not even trim his nails. Did she really exhaust all of her resources? She did not try giving him a treat. She did not ask me to stand nearby, maybe to give him a sense of comfort. How can PetSmart offer cat services or claim they have "cat specialists" (like, Melanie L.) if they cannot do a simple trim or bath. Sorry, Melanie L., you're not a cat specialist. You're not a certified groomer. You're a cashier, so stick to pressing buttons behind a conveyer belt.

Me and my family wanted to give Mandi our deepest gratitude for taking such good care of our Mochi For the past 10 months. I would highly recommend grooming at PetSmart at PasAdena location. Mandi always takes good care of mochi. Mandi takes her time to make sure Mochi is smelling fresh. Teeth were clean and nail trims. you know when your pet is well taking care of when you say grooming and she wags her tails and waited by the door to get into the car.

We enrolled both of our dogs in training with Jill and she was absolutely amazing! They both are anxious pups but she took the time to gain their trust and we made major progress.

They were nice. That's all i have to say. They told me my dog would be done in 3 hours. I don't know why my tea cup Yorkie takes that long. I arrived 30 min after the 3 hours because i was worried. They gave me my dog and didn't even blow the hair off her and got me to pay before i picked her up. So, i am covered in hair and I wish i hadn't pay for what they did to her. My dog looks butchered and her nails are still sharp. When i ask about it they said it's another fee. They chopped up her face too. my brother could have done this with scissors it's so bad. Her whole body is gone because they didn't like her slightly knitted body. Don't bother with this place. They suck.

Every time I come to this establishment I find it clean, shiny floors, well lit and I'm always greeted by an employee. The manager of this PetSmart should be very proud of their store to keep it so well maintained.

When booking online, the system prompts you to enter your card information immediately after selecting an appointment. Typically, this step indicates that a deposit will be processed, but that wasn't clearly communicated at the time of booking. When a team member later called to confirm my appointment, I mentioned that I had already entered my card information during the booking process. There was no follow-up from the team to clarify whether the deposit had been received, and since no additional communication was sent, I reasonably assumed everything was confirmed. However, I received a text message at 5:40 p.m. on 10/10/25 -- about 20 minutes before closing -- stating that my appointment scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on 10/11/25 had been canceled. I immediately called and texted but didn't receive a response until the next morning when the business reopened, at which point the appointment was already canceled. Given that appointments here are often booked weeks, if not months, in advance, it's extremely difficult to pivot or make alternate arrangements on such short notice. The lack of follow-up and the last-minute cancellation were disappointing, especially considering the time and planning it takes to secure a spot. I'm sharing this feedback constructively, as I understand things happen, but clearer communication and more proactive customer service would go a long way toward improving the overall experience.

My male dog suffered severe cuts in his private area, between his legs, on his belly, and even on his ankle. My female dog was also cut between her legs and ended up with infections in both ears due to the groomer, Crystal. She tried to blame these injuries on "matting" and refused to take responsibility, even going so far as to suggest that my male dog somehow caused these wounds himself. Immediately after the grooming, cones were placed on both dogs. Crystal herself acknowledged the cuts while she was still working on my male dog, but I didn't realize how extensive the injuries were until I examined him thoroughly after she left. While my female dog's injuries were less severe she caused an infection in both ears by plucking her ears with who knows what infected and dirty instrument after I explicitly told her not to! My male dog's wounds were far beyond anything that should ever happen during a grooming session. What makes her explanation even more unbelievable is that the worst matting was on his chest, yet there are no cuts there. Because of this negligence, we had to rush both dogs to the vet, resulting in unexpected medical bills for treatment and medication. Both dogs were forced to wear cones for an unknown amount of time until they heal, causing them unnecessary discomfort. The vet was shocked by the injuries and agreed that what happened was completely unacceptable. I trusted this business to care for my dogs, and instead they were harmed. To make matters worse, Crystal denied responsibility and gave misleading explanations. This isn't the first time I've had concerns. On a previous visit, another groomer from this same business cut my dog's paws. I reported it to Crystal (she claimed he was a rookie groomer) trusting she would be more careful moving forward. Instead, she caused even more serious injuries this time. For the high prices they charge, I expected professional, competent care. I chose this grooming service because of their glowing reviews, but my experience has been the complete opposite. The owner, Mike Bass, didn't even have the decency to return my calls after the incident. Instead, he chose to block my number. I should have trusted my instincts after hearing how rude and unpleasant he sounded when I first booked an appointment over a year ago. And to be clear, I'm not a one‑time customer. I've been using their services since August 2024. He even fabricated claims that I had gone through four groomers before his company and that I complained about all of them. That is simply untrue. My dogs are only two years old, and they had one groomer before Pup Scouts Annapolis. This business takes responsibility for absolutely nothing. They immediately sided with the groomer, who lied about the situation, rather than acknowledging the harm done. Their pattern is clear: deny, dismiss, and defend their staff no matter what. I even had to repeatedly text Crystal just to get an appointment after the government shutdown affected our schedule. If she no longer wanted to groom my dogs for whatever reason, especially since she lives far from us, she could have simply said so instead of harming the dogs to avoid future appointments. Future and current customers deserve to know that this business refuses to accept accountability and prioritizes protecting their groomers over the well‑being of the animals in their care. What Pup Scouts Annapolis calls "transparency" is nothing more than shifting blame onto pet owners and past groomers.
