It's been a year since I've been taking my dogs to It's a Pet Thing. Amber has been grooming my two fur babies since day one. She is wonderful with my dogs and very skilled in grooming them. When I pick them up, their fur is so soft and they smell great. Not to mention how handsome they look. For the 2025 Christmas season, they took an amazing photo of my dogs that was so cheery, bright and very Christmassy. All my family raved about the photo and said it was the best Christmas photo of them. I highly recommend It's a Pet Thing. I've been taking my dog here for several years now. Unfortunately, my last visit was unpleasant and I decided to never come here again. The groomer nicked underneath my dog's armpit and it bled. She told me it was under one armpit when in fact, it was both. She used glued to seal up the wound. She blamed my 4-lb maltipoo with no teeth, claiming that she tried to bite her. I've had my dog for over a decade and she has a pretty chill temperament. Besides, she literally has no teeth and is 4-lbs and the groomer is trying to tell me that she got startled when my dog tried to bite her. If the groomer was just upfront and honest, admitting she made a mistake, I would have understood, but to blame my weak little toothless dog, it's really upsetting. Additionally, their customer service is lackluster. I gave this place three stars because my dog does look cute when they're done with her. Although, the first time I stopped coming here because they didn't properly handle my dog's ears during the bath and she got an ear infection. After I told them about it, the groomer was more careful. However, blood was shed and I didn't like how the groomer handled the accident so I am taking my business elsewhere. read more

Been coming here for a little over 2 years after multiple bad grooming elsewhere. Astrid is amazing and consistently does a fantastic job. Peter is not an easy cut, Papatese, and Astrid is masterful. Make sure to book for the whole year so you can get in... there's a reason she books out weeks in advance. read more

This was our first time at It's a Pet Thing as we recently moved to the area. They did a great job on both my dogs. The shop is very clean and the staff was nice and helpful. Dorothy is a 12 year old Corgi and can be quite the drama queen and Baxter is a 6 month old Welsh Springer Spaniel puppy in for his first grooming. When I picked them up. both looked great and seemed to have had a good experience. Astrid is very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. The day before the appt I received a cancellation call from the groomer. Our Mastiff has terminal cancer and we needed a specific time so we can be present with him. The next available appt for my terminally ill pup, two weeks. So inappropriate and inconsiderate. She also acted as if we were putting her out for this request. Between the attitude and lack of compassion I would NOT recommend. read more

After trying other groomers I went to battery place and saw "its a pet thing" next store. I explained that other groomers complained about Smokey, so they gave me a late appointment to avoid stress for him. I gave him a sentative for his stress, but the groomer was very patient and kind. She said he was easy and just a bit nervous, but don't give him sentative, and she said he would be fine. They did a great job and were the kindest and patient ever. I will recommend to anyone!! Astrid is the third groomer we have used for our Cocker Spaniel and the best of the three! My dog has had an issue with dermatitis (contracted by another groomer) on his left paw so I made her aware of it. She took great care and actually gave me a thorough report of her thoughts and suggestions after examining it. I am happy to report he has had no issues since being groomed at It's A Pet Thing. Astrid did an excellent grooming job, was very professional and conscientious and her prices were very fair. The facility appears clean and well managed. We have scheduled our next appointment her and look forward to a long relationship. read more

Best groomer. My dog is very quirky and doesn't like to be brushed. He has a lot of skin allergies so they used an oatmeal shampoo. They had no problems with him and we always receive friendly, and good service. I highly recommend them. read more

Being new to the area I didn't know where to start when it came to finding a new groomer. My dogs were extra hairy and overdue for a grooming, but they still did a wonderful job at It's a Pet Thing!!
