My heart breaks for her. I'm sick to my stomach that the groomer wouldn't fess up and tell us it was an accident. Now onto the vet for treatment. Never again! read more

I brought my dog in to be groomed at the PetSmart on Promenade in Eagan. All in all, it was terrible. He's got a lot of bumps and they nicked a couple. It's a little disconcerting when they call and say "I was able to stop the bleeding." They didn't cut his toenails, because they couldn't get him to sit still. But the worst part, really is, his haircut looks terrible. His whole body and snout are very short. They left the hair on his ears very long. He just does not look good. My regular groomers out on maternity leave. I chose Petsmart because I thought it would be quick and easy. I'm really sorry I did. read more

I tried training class at Burnsville PetSmart and was very disappointed in class. One of the dogs was apparently afraid of class and barked pretty much non-stop and was distracting. The instructor did nothing to fix the situation. Normally in other classes GOOD instructors would ask owner to step out of class until dog settled down, the trainer here did nothing! Class was a waste of money. I will never use PetSmart again. I feel trainer is unqualified and should try something else. read more

The grooming salon at this place is horrific! Never bring your animal here to get groomed. Especially to Rebecca F! She treated me like I was the scum of the earth because my dog was a little shaggy. She said he was severely matted, which he was defiantly not, and spoke to me in a manner that I didn't know anything about dogs. She even went as far to mention that I need to treat my dog better as she was yanking him away from me and I was trying to get him a 150 dollar haircut and nail trim. She also wouldn't stop lecturing me so I could explain the situation of my dog and continued to make me feel like I was horrible. I am the type of person that my dog is my child and I will do EVERYTHING I can to make his life better. He wasn't even at the point where he was in dire need of a haircut. Also, other dogs in the Salon were screaming and howling and none of the staff seemed to care. Rebecca even yanked the beautiful dog she was working on and yelled at him to stop whining. Nevertheless, my dog was not groomed by them from this treatment and I have NEVER been so disrespected in my life by someone. read more

I used to use petsmart (Walpole,MA) for grooming for my small dog. They were great. We moved to Mn and I tried Eagan Petsmart grooming. They were and are horrendous. The place was absolutely disgustingly filthy. When I walked in to pick my dog up, they had a groomer screaming repeatedly at this scared little dog in the table. The dog wasnt being aggressive- you could just see he was anxious. She kept screaming- I got my dog and ran out. We will never ever go back there again. I cannot stand people being mean to dogs who are anxious and helpless. read more

I went in recently to buy a bag of dog food on my lunch break and was really upset by how the cashier treated me. I politely informed her that I will need to rush back to work after the transaction, and she proceeded to run to the front door and pet dogs THREE different times during a transaction for one item. During this time, I had two of my debit cards decline (later I found out that my account was stolen) and her words to me were, "wow, you're really hitting rock bottom today aren't you?". I was appalled and so embarrassed. I will never go back to any PetSmart if this is the type of customer service they are okay with. read more

Good morning-- I actually called in a few days ago and told one of the customer service reps about this but I felt as though she didn't take it seriously at all and wasn't going to make any changes or fix any of the problems. My girlfriend and I recently bought a glofish fish tank from you guys and bought glofish to go with the tank. Something I have been wanting since I was a kid. Finally, getting the fish I want was a n exhilarating experience. Then all hell broke loose. (Well all I'm about to tell you is happening we are making water changes, testing the chemicals and levels of the water and doing everything as fish owners that we can do to render our issues.) We started with 5 fish on the first day, before we even made it back to our apartment from buying the fish, which is about a 10 minute drive, 1 fish died. We took it back right away and exchanged it. So, now we put our 5 fish in their tank after acclimating them and doing all the necessary steps. After a few hours we noticed that 1 of the fish was sitting over in the corner and not really moving at all. So we watched it and when we fed the fish this one didn't seem to want to come and eat and just sat in the corner. Eventually, the next day the fish died. So, we returned it. Down to 4 fish now, we start noticing that about half of the fish we have left have white spots all over them and their fins are kind of beat up. After researching it, and driving to petsmart again for about the 5th time in 3 days we find out ALL of your glofish have ICK and they are selling them to customers WITHOUT warning. SOOO... being the dumbasses we are we buy the medicine for the tank and start treating the tank for ICK with what are now our 3 remaining fish......We went to work yesterday and then came home and notice now the once not (visibly) infected fish are now swimming slowly, barley moving and not reacting to us feeding them. We literally watched one swim down into the weeds of the tank, take its last breath and float up to the top of the tank. We then returned the tank, the rest of the live fish, the dead one, everything we bought which was a nearly $250 value. The poor ethics of this store horrifies me that you will sell people Sick fish with parasites in them and not forewarn the customers that you have coming into your store. Oh, I almost forgot, one time while we were in there exchanging/returning our dead fish we were obviously talking to the workers about this experience we were having and they called the in store management up to maybe help us rectify the problem. One of the workers asked the in store management, "Well, should we put a sign up or stop selling the fish because their sick." Management proceeded to respond in front of us at this point and say to the worker, "don't you have something else you should be doing." To completely over look this HUGE problem affecting 100's of fish. I was floored. read more

I took my dog here to get groomed. When I picked him up I glanced at him in the backseat and realized one of his eyes was swollen, red and he was keeping it shut. I got home and called the salon. The groomer said he may have shampoo in his eye so she instructed me to bring him back to her so she could help. I brought him back there and after she flushed his eye she told me it wasn't better. Banfield is connected to the store so the groomer waited with me to see if the vet could help us. I was very scared for my dog and felt awful for him and his discomfort. While we were in line the groomer asked for the manager to come and she did - and explained that PetSmart would pay for my dog's vet visit and any medication he needed. The vet tech helped us as quickly as she could, testing my dogs eye for scratches. She explained to me it looked like an ulcer. I was suspicious because my dog is healthy and had just been to the vet the week before and had a bill of perfect health. The vet came in and barely looked at my dog - rushed through the visit. I asked the vet what he thought happened to my dogs eye and he said oh it could be a number of things...I interrupted him and said well no. His eye was injured by the groomer. The vet fell silent....and left the room after explaining the treatment plan. When we left the vet visit I called our regular vet who said it's probably a cut but hard to tell for sure since cuts and ulcers show up the same on tests and treatment is the same. While PetSmart took financial responsibility for the meds and vet visit, they never admitted it was their groomer's fault. Advice? Don't take your dog here for grooming. Ever. read more

I get that we are in uncertain times with the Covid virus. The sign outside the store said they are now accepting grooming appointments. So I inquired inside for my dog to get a nail trim. I was told that for safety reasons they were only doing nail trims on dogs that also booked a bath! What does safety have to do with trimming a nails dogs without a bath? Talk about taking advantage of a situation to make more money. I have gone to this location repeatedly for 3 years to just have my dogs nails trimmed. I guess taking my dog for a $12.00 service just isn't worth their time. It's no different having them walk my dog in to get his nails trimmed than to walk another dog in for a full bath with nail trim. And you say it's for safety? Why is it then that you allow people in your store without masks? (not myself) I wore my mask as suggested by our governor.) The couple standing just 4 feet away had no masks or gloves. Sorry PetSmart, Petco just a mile away was more than happy to trim my dogs nails! You won't be seeing us again. read more

I don't know why there's so much bad reviews on here, plus those were from a long time ago too. Today I called about 4 different petsmart for cat grooming and all of them was barely available to assist me. They didn't even take the time to look within their scheduling to tell me their availability. All they kept saying was "busy this whole week" And when I called this petsmart, despite how busy they were they actually took the time to help me through the process and gave me their grooming availability. That's super awesome already. And the best part was that you can hear how honest their work is and how much they actually care about your pets. Thank you Amanda for being an amazing employee! And thank you to the dog bather who also helped me too! :) I would recommend this place despite the bad reviews because if you do read those bad reviews they're just a bunch of impatient and mean customers who probably never worked in customer care a day in their life before and obviously don't have common sense... read more

My dog was getting her nails clipped here a couple weeks ago and the girl who did them was not so good. Not so good that she let my dog fall of the table and nearly be strangled by the tight leash. Our dog was not fidgeting enough for this to happen. We have not brought our dog to the grooming department since. Which may be why she has talons for paws. read more

Awesome Staff. They're so nice and so helpful with my needs for my pet. I have four dogs and two cats and whenever I have questions about what I should get, they always know how to answer and help! There are also a variety of fishes, reptiles, small animals, and cats there and it's so tempting to want to buy more pets, but I have too many pets! But just like anyone would imagine a pet store to have pets, they have almost all of them. Awesome store. read more

If I could have given the grooming salon zero stars I would have. They have no professionalism and I don't think the staff even likes dogs. They have no patience and I've heard of where they have injured pets while at their salon. Bring your dog at your own risk. I don't normally go to big box stores for my aquarium supplies because most of the times I can find it cheaper from local people. However, I do occasionally drop in for an item or two here and there. I made a trip to this petsmart for aquarium plant fertilizer. Of course they would have that, right? Nope. Yet, they still stock many aquarium plants. Aquarium plants without the necessary nutrients will most definitely die. One less thing I'll be stopping at this location for. read more

Love going to petsmart with our fur baby. The whole staff loves to see Retro and they all remember his name and ate excited to see him. When my husband and I go in alone they don't remember us hahaha! Our fur baby English bullmastiff is very loved here and we love petsmart for that! read more
