This facility is always clean, there is always some type sale going on and is very affordable. The Banfield Clinic is awesome! We bring our two dogs here and we are actually going back to get them payed and neutered. The staff at Banfield is amazing and very caring. They make sure to give you a stipulate with prices and I dig that because you have an idea of how much you will be looking at when it's time to pay. I also liked that they would call me each time something would come up to see if I would want it done or not and as well, they would know what the price would and not put you on hold. They were very nice and very caring. They also would put your doggies' name on their white board that's always a cute gesture to do. read more

My daughter has been wanting a guinea pig and she just got it for Xmas as a gift from her grandma. She had a gift card and some spending cash and off we were to shop for our new pet. Originally we went to PetSmart in Fullerton. They had one guinea which was a female and we wanted a male. We come to find out that the Fullerton location only carries females and the BP one carries all males. So off we were to the the BP location and we had options of three lil guineas. Michael helped us through the whole process and was very friendly with great customer service. When my daughter found the one she liked he had us meet with our guinea. We instantly attached to SKIPZ, and Michael boxed him up for us. We needed to shop for supplies and as we did that Michael came to us and had me sign some paperwork. He then brought us a brochure with a list of supplies needed to help us decide on what to buy. I then realized we were going to need a shopping cart and he went and grabbed us one. After a little while he even came back to check on us and make sure were finding everything okay. He provided great customer service that even had my 10 year old saying it. We brought our lil guy home and hope he will be a great addition to our home but if we have any issues we have 14 days to return out guinea and get our money back. I never like to be a "Karen" but we definitely do not play with peoples' health!!! I was just here with my bf earlier, buying goods for our cat, & the man at the register who's name, I believe, was Mateo, kept coughing up a storm throughout our whole time there. He ended up being our cashier, & he literally had his mask UNDER his chin, coughed INTO his hands several times, & even WIPED his nose while scanning our items with the same hand! Everyone in line was grossed out and we were in so much shock that we couldn't even let a word out, like no way is this man serious. He hardly even apologized & gave us our receipt with his sticky hands. We called for a manager and a lead came out instead. Marissa got our items switched out with new ones that weren't touched by him & were given a 15% discount for the inconvenience. Sure, that's cool, I'm glad they apologized on his behalf and said he would be spoken to, but if my bf and I end up having the virus because of that employee's negligence, this definitely won't be the last time they hear from us. I hate to be that person, but DO NOT play with people's health, & act like this virus isn't continuing to take lives. Employees who are showing signs aren't even allowed to continue to work, yet, here they are. Just repugnant & obnoxious. Even if we weren't going through a pandemic we'd still be grossed out. I just hope they sanitized that register/station after we left because they don't seem to care about cleanliness at all & many others in line after us might have been affected as well. He was pulled off the register after all that & was assigned to restock items, BUT HE STILL DIDN'T LEAVE TO WASH HIS HANDS. Nope. Not going back there. This place is the best . I purchased a dog harness a couple of days ago not knowing for sure it would fit my dog . Today I put it on my dog and it happened to be way too big for her . I panicked because I had removed the tags and had already gotten rid of the receipt. I called the store and told them my issue they told me not to worry , as long as I entered my phone number during check out my receipt was on file and not to worry about the tags . As long as they could find my receipt connected with my phone number there would be no problem and they would take care of the issue right away . So happy I made my purchase here . We adopted an Alaskan Malamute today and headed straight to PetSmart. I must admit it was overwhelming looking at all the variety, designs, prices, etc. But we camme across Michelle, she helped us so much. Ahe was very knowledgeable, friendly and professional. She asked what kind of dog we adopted and gave us amazing tips on grooming provided by PetSmart, food and doggy combs.. she made our visit fun vs overwhelming and very informative. I asked so many questions because I was confident in her ability to assist us. She is outstanding and I recommend looking for her if you need any help. This review is for the grooming salon. I've never had a Maltese, but I know that they would have to be groomed more than other dogs. Today I took my 5 month old Maltese to the groomers & they ended up butchering her. Poor Daisy. She's a wiggle worm, but if she was like that from the start, why did they continue? My poor dog looks ridiculous. Like, they couldn't finish? They only had the face to finish. I was mad, but at least they said I didn't have to pay. Best believe I won't ever come back. read more

I don't like to go to PetSmart because I have issues with their practices, but desperate times call for desperate measures. After picking up a new pup from the shelter, I dragged her around everywhere, from Petco to the vet to Starbucks. Poor girl was dragged out tired. I could bear to take her out of the way to yet another pitstop before finally going home, so I just hop skipped over to Petsmart (there was one in the same plaza as the Starbucks that we had to stop at). I really REALLY needed a proper-sized crate for her before I brought her home. Apparently, a bunch of stuff was on sale, but.. there were no PRODUCTS to go with the "For Sale" signs everywhere. Goodness gracious. All in all, it was an okay place, with a fairly large dog obedience class area, and a pretty large selection. But.. it IS a PetSmart. I doubt I'll ever go there again, unless it's an emergency. read more

Friendliest employees ever! They answered all my questions completely without rushing, and they are very knowledgeable. They offer pet training, grooming, and they have a Banfield pet hospital inside the store. It seems to me like they seriously have every pet product you can think of. Also, if you sign up for the PetPerks card (free!) you get great discounts in-store and they send you coupons. Just FYI, their groomers are open until 9 PM, but they take their last appointment at 6. read more

I have been coming to this location for years, this review is over due by far. Everyone is very friendly, and helpful. Just like they should be at a pet store, asking about your pet. They are always stocked, I have never went in looking for something and they were sold out, even sale items, they do a good job of keeping this place stocked. I just love the sales they have here, If you sign up for there emails or check the sunday paper, You sill see there sales and coupons, I just don't think I'v seen a cheaper place to get good quality animal supplies. One down fall :( There grooming section does not do cats at this location just dogs, The next closest one is Cerritos, CA which is not very far from this location and was built about 6 months ago and they groom cats! McKinley almost killed the grooming experience but Holly saved it. I've been a loyal customer since 2009, bringing my dog in religiously every month until Christian stopped working here last year. He was the only consistently great groomer so I hesitated to bring my dog for a while. I made appointments a week in advance for both my and my mom's dog on different days and that was a breeze. I asked if I needed to bring in any papers or anything and McKinley says no. Then I brought my baby in (on a Sunday morning) & that's where things almost fell apart. McKinley greeted me and I told her that I was there for an appointment. She checked the computer and said okay. Then walked away. There was an older pet owner already there, waiting with her dog. She looked annoyed and I wondered if she'd been waiting for a while. She gave me a nod with a sarcastic smirk, confirming my assumptions. As we both waited in front of the counter, two separate customers arrived after us and were able to check their pups in right away. I approach the counter and ask McKinley what the issue was and why I was waiting. She said I have to wait for the assigned groomer...WTF? Since when? THEN she pokes her head into the back room and informs Holly that her appointment is here (eye twitch)! Holly comes out quickly, calmly, collected & gives a sincere, professional apology. She checks the computer and says she needs a copy of my dog's current rabies record. I give a death look at McKinley and say in my most stern motherly tone "Are you serious? No one told me over the phone or while I was waiting here." Holly, again, apologizes for her. THANK GOD THIS PETSMART HAS A BANFIELD! I pop by the vet just next door to get copies and hand them to Holly. She takes my dog in and does an AMAZING job with his trim. I hope she's there for his next appointment so I can keep coming back and update my review. read more

The staff is extremely nice and was very patient with my anxious dog! Ask for Karina! She was very kind and patient. I was very impressed and pleased. It was my first time going to this particular PetSmart, and my dog was very stressed because she doesn't like strangers. When I dropped off my dog, the staff was very reassuring that they would take very good care of her and do their best to keep her stress levels down. Even though my dog was being very difficult (pooped, peed, bit twice, and was so anxious that her tongue turned purple), Karina was very gentle toward my dog and soothed her throughout their session. She even took the time to pause in between the bath and haircut to simply soothe and stoke my dog until she was calm. I was sure that they would never invite us back, but Karina was very understanding and told me that my dog would mostly likely get better once she became familiar with her. She did a great job grooming my dog and made sure that I was happy with the result. She showed enormous skill and gentleness to be able to make my dog look as good as she does! I recommend this PetSmart and Karina :) read more

Very large Petsmart. And I've been to several Petsmarts. This place usually has everything in stock. I take my dog to get groomed here. Yes they do charge a lot compared to "local" private owned groomers, but they do a very good job. My dog's grooming costs $45 and I tip $5. The groomer I use is "Anissa", she is very good and friendly. Plus I can see she really shows care for my dog. They also offer dog training classes. Reasonable prices, for people who are too lazy or can't train their own dogs. I been in and out of this store many times, and I swear, every single time I come in through the front door, I get greeted by a friendly employee with a smile saying "Welcome to Petsmart!" It's really nice as a customer to feel welcomed. read more

I booked an appointment with Erika online for my 4 month old puppy for a bath and let me tell you, she's amazing! I was extremely nervous about having someone bathe my little one. He gets anxious when he meets new people, but when we first met she was the most friendliest. She's extremely sweet and caring. I felt extremely comfortable leaving him with her. She made him feel comfortable which I love since it was his first time. I will definitely be taking my pup to her next time. It was a great experience. read more

My girlfriend and I are complete animal lovers and our furry/scaley friends tend to be very spoiled. That being said, we definitely go to many pet stores on a regular basis. On our most recent trip, we brought our lab-pit, Molly, who we rescued from death row a week before. She was very timid and an employee brought over a treat right away to help her feel at home. We also brought our lab-rott, Bo, in with us. Bo is 6 years old and leash aggressive. He barked when another dog walked in and a trainer, Nichole, came over right away with so many helpful suggestions. She checked on us throughout our visit and was absolutely amazing. It tends to be a little embarrassing when Bo barks because we feel like bad pet-parents but with Nichole's help we were all at ease and he had a very successful trip. :-) read more

Store is always very clean. The staff know what they talk about, even if they don't they still try hard to find someone that can help you out. My review is solely based on the fish and the aquarium accessories. I have purchased many fish here and have all have been healthy and live long lives so far. I have only have my tank for almost 3 months and knew nothing at all to start the tank. The day I went in seeking help I came out with a tank and everything I need to begin my aquarium. I was shown each step by step by an employee what I need to do and when and how often. They even opened up a box from the shelves and showed me how to do certain things. Great store!! read more

They are the worst company in the world. They are very unprofessional especially in the grooming department. They need to make their policies very clear if they are going to be extremely picky. They wouldn't accept my dogs rabies vaccine certificate because it was hand written by the vet (and signed) and stated it needed to be printed. If they are going to have an insane policy then they should have that very clear when making an appointment instead of making people drive to the appointment and then denying a service. I've never had an issue before going to PetSmart for the grooming and I just found out about this policy today and she's had a bath from PetSmart for 6 years now. This company is terrible and they make it very hard for pet owners to want to come and shop or get services done. I can't control how the vet hands out certificates. Every time I've gotten one they always give the same kind a hand written one with a signature. I hope PetSmart closes up shop and a company that actually cares about pet needs takes its place. read more

This is a pretty new Petsmart in a remodeled shopping area in BP. I really like how clean it is there because my dog Tootsie & I have been to some really nasty locations. I really hate it when irresponsible dog owners take their dogs there & their dog goes potty all over the floor & the owners don't clean it up because they expect the employees to clean it up. Do not go in for grooming services. Had trouble making appointment over the phone, finally penned in the appointment time. Took yorkie for the agreed appointment time, only to find they are overbooked and pushed the time by three hours. One hour later, got a call say to come in, got asked about the vaccinations. Discovered that the dog is over at vet hospital for a cut by the groomer with electric cutter. So, do you want to see your dog get cut by the careless groomer? I asked for next few grooming for free, they wont give me. I wont shop any Petsmart stores ever again. Zero star. read more

Desiree is awesome! This Petsmart is very clean, well stocked and the people are great. BUT Desiree really shines. On several occasions she has been one of the few to approach me to ask questions, suggest items and ALWAYS likes to reiterate that all items can be returned with the original receipt even if the bag of food has been opened. I came here to buy pet food, Fancy Feast, and the price was good, a little cheaper than the market. The cat is arranged in the boxes it is shipped in, so finding the flavor you need is relatively easy. Cashier was very pleasant and told me if I couldn't find a flavor, they would come and assist me. That is more than Ralph's did when they moved all the cat food to the bottom shelves. Felt good when I left which says a lot. read more
