There was a lovely young woman who helped me check out and get out of the store quickly after watching me have an allergic reaction to one of the animals in their store. They keep their animals for purchase in the center of the store near the cat food there's a car in front of me, man sure you're gonna go. This is the speed limit which I was unaware of, and I came in to do an exchange and grab my cat food, and I asked the gentleman at the front where it was and he gave me uninspired guidance and when I asked if they had anything else that didn't have chicken in it, he said every brand makes a version of cat food without chicken, which is a strange thing to say because clearly every brand does not make a dry kibble food that doesn't have chicken in it. It's a very hard thing to find, and I spent a long time trying to figure out where the food that I was looking for was without realizing they were guinea pigs, an aisle over and came very close to using my EpiPen today which all could've been avoided if someone had just given me clear direction on where the cat food was to begin with. read more

This PetSmart is always the one I go to get cat poop sands and food. The staff here is very friendly, the indoor is super clean, and it has everything my two cats and 1 dog need. The cashier would remind me how many points I have with my account and ask me do I want to use them. Like last week, I was told that I had $40 worth of points! So I used it to buy cat wet food. haha. Absolutely the worst experience with same day delivery. My order was supposed to arrive over an hour ago. Apparently the DoorDash cancelled my order despite order still saying processing on petsmart app. I had to call and ask since the order wasn't delivered still and it shows processing. They said DoorDash had address discrepancy and cancelled on their end without letting petsmart know. Aka they weren't communicating. I was on the phone for over 30 minutes trying to figure out why they had address discrepancy for this order despite the past 3-5 times no issues. It was same address. Had I not called, my order would be staying as "processing" for days. This is extremely frustrating as now I am late to my flight because of this stupid issue. Went in last week seeing they had a special on treats when I took it to the register they told me that special was over even though the tag was still placed on the item like there was a special still going. I asked if they were going to honor it still since the tag was still up. I have been taking my dog to get grooming services at Petsmart for about 7 years and have never had any major issues. Small things like sometimes they leave her cut uneven/choppy or not exactly what I asked for but I'm not super picky as long as she's groomed. A couple times they have left her small nicks/cuts but nothing big so I haven't said anything. The last time I took her Jasmine A. told me to take her somewhere else to get grooming services bc my dog was anxious and she charged me an additional fee for it. Mind you she has been getting groomed at Petsmart for 7 years and no other groomer there has EVER had any issues, charged me extra much less told me to take my dog elsewhere. Management should have more experienced groomers give her tips and tricks on how to groom if she's having difficulty that much difficulty grooming a 10lb dog. Also if she's telling me to go somewhere else she's probably telling that to many other customers causing the company to lose business and customers. She might not care about making the company lose money/business/customers but I'm sure the higher ups will not be too happy to hear about this. read more

I've spent thousands of dollars over the years at this store, but I'm never spending another penny at this store...and a sales associate told me, "I'm okay with that." I spent nearly $200 on a Top Fin fish aquarium just last week. The Top Fin filter was super noisy from the beginning. However, we took the water sample to the store to have it tested and everything was good. Then, we added two fish. One died days later and the other fish continuously hid inside of an aquarium decorative piece. The water became increasingly cloudy. I returned to the store and told the cashier that the Top Fin filter was not working properly. Another salesperson overheard me and said, "I had the same problem with the Top Fin filter!" She asked me if I had purchased the filter as part of a kit, which I had. She walked me over to the shelf where they had other filters and pointed out her suggested replacement, which was nearly $70, but was out of stock. Instead, I said that all I was seeking was to get a replacement for the defective filter. I suggested that if there was a better filter available, I would be willing to pay the difference; however, even the Top Fin filters for my size tank would be okay if they would simply just give me an equivalent replacement. She said that they would not do that; all they could give me was 20% off of a new one. I needed a filter and I told her that there is NO WAY that this is fair. I said that i would pay for this $20 replacement but that I would NEVER give them any more of my business. She actually said, "What do you mean by that?!" I replied that there are plenty of other places to spend my money than PetSmart, such as Petco, Pet Supplies Plus, or online vendors. The smart aleck said, "I'm okay with that." Too dumb to realize that if the store doesn't have the business to pay the bills, including wages, they close down and all of the employees lose their jobs, even the incompetent, dumb, and rude ones. Over the years Petsmart has repeatedly proved their lack of attentiveness to customers and animals. I've finally felt it's time to write a review, after several years of terrible encounters with Petsmart, because I firmly believe in giving people and companies a chance and understand that humans aren't perfect. After ordering online for pick-up, our dogs items were not actually available. That's fine. It happens. The cashier simply said, "we don't have it. It was cancelled" I guess 6 minutes before I arrived. The cashier DIDN'T OFFER OR PROVIDE ANY ALTERNATIVE SOLUTIONS. She did not offer to order for us, did not offer to ship to store or our house, or to even CHECK STOCK at another store. Lazy. Terrible terrible customer service! Please hire people that care enough to perform their job and provide at least SOME FORM of customer service. The order was placed on 02/27/2022; order was cancelled at 2:35PM; I was in the store by 2:40pm and spoke to the cashier by 2:42pm. She stood there like a deer in the headlights waiting for me to walk away after she clearly stated the order was cancelled and the item was not available. I simply thanked her and left. I used the screenshot for my purchase confirmation as I never got an e-mail from Petsmart with confirmation even though my checkout was processed and my card was charged. We even took an offer with THE SAME EMAIL ADDRESS in the SAME TRANSACTION to receive a $100 reward, and of course we received email confirmation of that transaction but NOTHING FROM PESTMART. We shop at Petco and other pet supplies stores but come to Petsmart occasionally for convenience as we spend a lot of time shopping around for our 2 dogs and 4 rabbits. I can now legitimately, after numerous encounters, say this just confirmed why we try avoid Petsmart. In other instances we have been hesitant to shop at any Petsmart as we often see dead and unattended beta fish still on display. This concludes my review. I hope this was helpful to anyone looking to find insight on what you'll find at this Petsmart location and likely many other Petsmart locations across the nation. Came in here today to get my puppy Moko her first bath! I made a reservation with Erika who was phenomenal! As soon as I walked in she checked us in and started trying to bond with Moko! Moko is a bit shy, but Erika managed to work her magic and she was so calm! She told me plenty of useful information as well. My baby ended up coming out looking like a princess with two pretty bows on her bead. Moko was very calm and happy, she also smelled amazing! I was very happy with ny experience here with Erika! I went into this location to browse the aquariums hoping to see if they had any deals going memorial weekend on May 28th. Luckily they had a 50% sticker on several that I did like but didn't have a vehicle large enough to take one home that day but the decal said the promotion was good through the holiday and I even verified the promotion with an employee I also took a picture to remind myself to come back before the promotion ended. I came back May 30th before the promotion ended and saw that they had removed the decals with the promotion information. Unlucky for me the manager Eddie was standing there as if he was waiting to let anyone down. Now the best way to describe this guy is to just imagine the rudest, most stuck up, unapologetic person you've ever encountered working at the DMV and that's this guy. He told me he just removed all the decals and there was nothing he was willing to do because it would hurt his numbers personally. I even showed him the picture I had taken but he just didn't care. I asked to speak with the store manager but he said he was it. He told me if I could find it online with the discount he would give it to me but was unwilling to help me further and just turned around and walked away without any sort of resolution. So I get on my phone with their corporate number and while I was on the phone a very nice employee approached me and asked if she could be of any help. I explained the situation and without any delay offered to give me the discount and would be happy to help. As it turns out this was Alix another manager and handled the situation the way any good employee should. Another manager Miguel showed up took care of me and sent me on my way much happier than after talking to Eddie. I brought up how rude Eddie was and with what I was hearing it sounded like this happens frequently. How a person with no customer service skills can be in a position like that is beyond me but if it weren't for the actions of Miguel and Alix this would be a 1 star review. So great job Alix and Miguel and I would suggest Eddie apply for a job at the DMV or somewhere you don't have to deal with people. When I got there they said they needed to weigh my dog. They told me the groomer had a weight limit of 25lbs and my dog is 27lbs so they cannot groom him. I came to this PetSmart after another one I just visited told me they were out of stock but this Buena Park location *might* have some. I drove all the way over there from Seal Beach and was helped by the store associate named Juliana. We were looking for the medicated dog food that my fur baby needed but couldn't find any on the floor. She said she wasn't allowed to check the back but directed me to the manager, Jorge. He attempted to look for the food out on the floor too then stated that there was none available right now but they might have some in a shipment but it was either not inventoried yet or something or other. HOWEVER! He must have realized how I needed to get that medicated food for my puppy so he did some digging around and found the dog food I needed! He went through this back room looking specifically just for it. Now my puppy has the food she needs and I don't have to keep driving store to store. Jorge and Juliana were AWESOME! We met the best groomer today: Erika F. We booked her online without having met her and after picking up my dog, we couldn't be happier! Erika is warm hearted, sweet with my pup, and very customer service dedicated. On an impulse we added the de-shedding package thinking it was a 3 dollar upcharge from the Top Dog Plus package. When we picked her up we learned otherwise but Erika made sure that our pup still got her teeth brushed. It was obvious our pup had a great time with Erika and we will be booking her from now on. I always come here to buy horned worms for my chameleon and usually have to check to see if there is a good sized one in the box. I've had other employees help me with checking them so I can get good sized worms.whe I end up with small ones I have to let then sit for a couple of days but most of the time they die so I'm out a 3 dollar worm and you don't replace them. Well today I had someone come up and tell me .. I can't open the box to check them and that they escape because of what I'm doing... sooooo... your saying a worm that is not only in a confined space within a casing that does not permit the boxes to open decides to leave it's only food source to escape??? I usually don't take time to write bad reviews but im not comming back here again because of an employee that would rather lie to me than understand why I'm checking the box. She even pulled out the ones I opened and could not even tell I had opened it lol and then proceeded to put tape on it to justify it...then tells me in have to have someone help me so in ask her to and she then gets mad at me.... RRALLY LADY??? the rest of the employees there are alway understanding , talk to me and usually open the boxes with me. This post is regarding my experience at PetSmart grooming last week. I was a bit nervous about bringing in my shy, older, Cavalier to get her $20 Pawdicure treatment, but Erika put me at ease. She was so sweet and gentle with my pup that she stayed calm the whole time. Tooth brushing is included with the package, but my pup's teeth had tartar buildup that won't go away with a regular brushing (they need to be scaled), so Erika offered to do an anal expression to make up for it. As she was working with her, she noticed that her anal glands were impacted. She let me know right away and asked if I would like her to check next door, at the Banfield clinic, as to how much they charge for that treatment and if they could fit her in to their schedule. It all worked out and they were able to get her in right away. The charge for Banfield was $37.50. Erika felt bad that she wasn't able to do the complete Pawdicure package, so she only charged me for the nail grinding which was $14. Plus, I had just received a coupon in the mail for 50% off of the nail grinding service, so I only had to pay $7! I went to give Erika a tip, but she refused it. She stated that she didn't get to do everything, and that she was simply grateful that I took my pup to get her treatment with Banfield immediately. She worries about those pets that she knows need to be treated for something potentially serious, but leave without having it done. I can see that she truly cares about my pet's well-being above all else. Thank you Erika! I will be booking with you again! read more

There has been instances where I'm hearing there work drama. Maybe do that off the floor so customers don't hear? Dog training: 5 stars. Very helpful when my dog was a puppy. Grooming: 3.5 stars. I've had so many issues, I groo. My dog on my own. I'd pay extra for a dog grind and then his claws are sharp. So I started checking before I leave every time. And hair cuts gets funky depending on who does it. I just do it cause it's better than getting upset. Banfield: 5 stars. Every person I've encountered their has been helpful. Any miscommunication's taken care of asap. Super helpful and explains everything so well. Great recommendations even if I don't purchase things from them. read more

Got to the store 10min late on reschdule appointment day, was told that I was late and could no longer be taken in. Left pretty confused, irate and frustrated. Got home called the store to figure out what was wrong. Talked to manager, manager said he'll figure things out and call me back. Manager called back and told me to come back cause now they have time! Did I miss something here!? Save yourself from a store where people want to get paid but don't want to do work. This place is great. I prefer going to PetSmart over Petco simply because of the selection. PetSmart has such a wide variety of pet supplies that other pet supplies stores either do not carry or do not have in stock. I have never had an issue finding something that I need when coming to this store. Tip: Sign up for their loyalty program. It is so helpful. If you made your purchase and entered you phone number, say "so long" to those paper receipts that get lost or thrown out.
