Do NOT take your dog here to get groomed (in particular if you have a golden doodle). I asked for a…read morepuppy cut and my dog came back completely shaved except for her ears and her tail. The person who brought her out said to me, "Better luck next time?" In addition to the poor cut, when I called, she said, "Sorry, I guess you need to go back to where you took her before." She was completely defensive and had zero intention of even trying to make it right. Very poor customer service. Unbelievable. If you planned on shaving her versus appropriately grooming the dog, you need to indicate that you can't perform the service. Other groomers can perform this cut. I am disappointed in the service I received and the way they handled it.

They are attentive to your dogs needs which is a huge plus. For example, one of my dogs has mild aggression over her water bowl. They were able to work with her and made sure she had her own separate bowl through out her stay.

We have gone sporadically to The Barking Lot for a couple of years now. However, when I called to discuss it with the owner, he was more than happy to help. He went through and investigated the situation/preference cards, did not blame it on staff, all while trying to provide the best customer service he could. They were able to fit my two dogs in last minute which I appreciated and they did an excellent job. Even if it was a sub optimal groom, having an owner who works with customers to try and navigate problems and make them right makes this business stand out. Thank you!
