Not only did they send ALL of her food back with her, she came home with cuts and sores all over her skin, a chemical burn on her stomach, and had lost 17 lbs in the 10 days she was there. They claimed to me that the food container, which was premeasured for the duration of her stay, was "too heavy to carry" and that they fed her in house food. We took her to another veterinarian office to have her evaluated because she was so traumatized and unwell.The vet was not even able to gather a fecal sample because they starved her while she was in their "care". Do NOT send your pet here. They are abusive and should be ashamed. Animal control should shut this place down. They lied to me and told me multiple different stories, and then lied and told another different story to the animal control officer. They don't refund the boarding fee after they clearly neglected to provide the service they promised. In addition, we had to pay almost $600 for veterinary treatment for the injuries our puppy sustained in their "care". I will tell every person I know how horrific they were to our sweet puppy.

More of letting me know that I should have maybe went another route for a puppy as opposed to the service I booked. Seemed to be some confusion with my service between the owner and the booker which I could see. It was really confusing on what's was included and was told something different from booking. The groomer discovered during my service that my puppy had some mild matting around his feet so he needed to be cut down. She explained she didn't want to irritate him by brushing to much in his feet which I appreciated. So scary for me, but they offered me a discount on it which I appreciated it! The clippers also died and I had to wait with my puppy for more to brought. That's ok it's a new business. I support that! I am going to list the positives and cons of my experience below. Overall, I support the business. I was happy and they were very open to questions and took time with my dog. I tried to cut down some of my dogs face prior, so they fixed that for me lol. Will I try them again? I may. I am a new puppy owner. I did not like how much hair was cut off, but I trust the groomer when she said it's needed. Would love to keep more hair next time. It's bright and airy, fun, clean, and very well stocked, without making it look cluttered. And everything is of great quality. As for the treats, they have a freezer to the left that's full of birthday cakes, cupcakes, and other small cake-like treats. There's also a display case that has a creative display of dog biscuits. It's always a pleasant surprise to see what the chef has created. So far, I've seen burgers/ fries, paws, bones, signs, donuts, and many other colorful designs. It also has a seperate entrance, making it easily accessible from the rear parking lot. As for grooming, they offer all grooming services that you can think of and they also have an impressive selection of grooming supplies. All in all, Michaels Barkery exceeded my expectations in every way possible and this is a true one stop shop!
