I did the review this week because this was the first time your staff has spoken to us at all and I was floored that y'all actually talk. If I wasn't receptive to being asked if I needed help it was because after all this time of going into your store and now you want to speak to me, I was insulted. As far as the check out, one of the employees that day just asked for our phone number and what package of frozen treats I had chosen, duck hearts, and rung us up from our side of the counter, while the the other employee was trying to figure out the Hulu password to log into the account on the TV screen. Please do not try and insinuate that I am a liar, the customer service I have witnessed consistently is horrific and like I already stated, the only reason I return is because the brand of dog food I purchase for my babies is extremely difficult to find. I tell every fur baby parent that I meet that your store carries great product but the level of customer service that your store carries leaves so much room for improvement, to say the very least. I can genuinely say I dislike going into your store, it's always an awkward experience and hope that another store opens near by that sells the same quality products that my fur babies get You want to make it up to me?!? How about we just start with basic customer service. For example just greeting. Super simple and extremely human. It just seems like you know you will continue to make money because you carry great product so why bother being welcoming and graceful. It takes very little effort to be friendly and welcoming, and it's a shame that every visit is awkward and uncomfortable. Just an FYI, I saw your post on Facebook trying to get unfounded sympathy from your followers, or maybe retaliation for me being honest, but it is what is and I stand firm on my review. I'm goving this feedback so that your business can improve, not to hurt your feelings. And It's obvious if I'm willing to spend money consistently in an establishment that I feel unwelcomed in for my babies, they are well cared for.

Then he says you can only see the cats if you're committed to adopting. I'm thinking to myself how am I supposed to know if I want to adopt this cat if I can't even touch it or hold it or play with it? How am I supposed to know if I want a cat through a glass screen? As soon as he said that to me, I walked out. This is not only unfair to customers, but also unfair to the kittens who deserve to be played with and get attention in love. This worker is prohibiting cats from getting adopted plain as that. this worker was also a more heavyset guy and he needs to be fired. Someone please identify him. This is totally unfair to customers and especially the kittens that are looking for new homes. This is not even allowing them the chance to get adopted. People might just come in and see cats and fall in love with a cat without even wanting to adopted first. Fix this system! I just hope these cats get adopted through a fair process! Fix it. keep in mind this is never happened to me before and I come to petsmart all the time. I even adopted my cat from a different petsmart. it is the employee's fault. She is very professional and even though English is not my first language. She sat with me and explained all the tests she did to her, page by page. Even the nurses asked me for my budget and gave me different alternatives for how much I can spend without getting out of your budget. I've been to many vets during all these years, and I'm going to tell you, if you love your pet as much as I do like a part of family and you want them to be treated with respect and care as they deserve come to petco de Zavala and ask for Dr. Priour. You won't be disappointed. The price is not cheap but I think it's fair. I used to pay double at other places for the same tests. I absolutely will recommend it and come back again.

We came here for a grooming appointment for my Golden Doodle. We will never return…read more 1) we gave clear instructions we wanted a golden doodle teddy bear cut and to keep the legs long. Instead they gave our dog a typical poodle cut- shaved body/legs/tail with balls on the feet/tail/ears and pouf on the head. 2) When I picked up my dog the groomer stated he was extremely matted and that's why they had to shave him down (which was false because he gets bathed and brushed out every week to prevent matting). I'm guessing maybe they didn't know how to do the cut and opted to do something else all together. Who knows. 3) when they went to get my dog they said it was the dog with lots of anxiety- which I thought was odd because this dog has the best temperament ever (extremely calm would never hurt a fly type dog; never have heard of or had a problem with him in the past with any other groomer). They bring my dog out literally dragging him as he's pulling away from the groomer and shaking. He immediately saw me and darted straight for me and hid behind me. HUGE red flag as this behavior is completely out of character. I asked what was wrong and they said nothing he's just a difficult dog. 4) They then tell me they had trouble grooming him and to expect bruising around the face and mouth! What? There was a line behind me and I didn't make a big deal about everything I just left (shame on me) When I got home I took a closer look at my dog (honestly to see what they were talking about with bruising) - only to notice he had bleeding in spots that look like they shaved too close to the skin and cut him on his under belly and rear legs. I felt so bad for my dog and this experience. I also regret not making a stink about the service when I was at the facility. So I do not recommend at any cost! For The Love of Dogs just made sense-- same groom for almost half the cost. I was not disappointed. My border collie is usually an anxious mess without us (my partner and I) but surprisingly was in high spirits when dropping her off. Not sure if it's because it was women owned and operated or because the floors were cushy and soft. Whatever it was, I felt at ease leaving her there for the duration of the ~3 hours. During pick up, they said her paw pad trim was complimentary! (usually a $15 additional fee) That was enough to seal the deal as our new go-to pet grooming salon. Jamie was our stylist and we will continue booking services through her. Thank y'all!!!
