I hate this Walmart. Actually, I hate Walmart in general. They all seem to have the same business…read moremodel: lots of employees, somehow nobody available to actually help you. I bought some thyme and noticed it was bad while the cashier was scanning it. I asked if I could grab a fresh one. She told me to let the employee at the exit know I was exchanging it. Easy enough, right? Wrong. I get to the door, explain that I'm trying to exchange some bad thyme, and I'm sent to Customer Service. I wait in line for about 10 minutes, explain the situation again, only to be told they can't simply exchange the bad thyme. Instead, they can refund me on a gift card, and then I can go back into the store and purchase new thyme with said gift card. So, to recap: bad thyme customer service gift card back into the store new thyme. Apparently exchanging a $2 package of thyme requires a full bureaucratic process. I understand policies, but there has to be a more efficient way to handle something this simple. If I'm standing in your store with a clearly bad product and asking to exchange it for the exact same product, why does this need to become a 20-minute adventure? This is exactly why I don't shop at Walmart. Every time I go in, I leave wondering how something so simple became so unnecessarily complicated. At least the thyme gave me something to write about.
