It's with disappointment that I'm updating my review of Mission Valley ROP, and deducting a star…read more As a graduate of American High School and Mission Valley ROP, having taken 3 different courses through ROP, and even earned college credit in one of them, I felt fortunate to have had the pleasure of taking Business Ownership, Marketing, and Law Enforcement. However, it has come to my attention, that the current students at American High are currently without an Instructor for Culinary Arts, therefore the students are being "taught" by "substitutes". I get that teacher shortages are happening everywhere, and we are just getting through a global pandemic, but at the same time it's not like the previous Instructor Chef Rosen, decided to retire last minute. They knew well in advance, and you would think they would have been able to get an instructor before the school year started. If for some reason, they weren't able to find an instructor, which seems to be the case now, why even offer the course this year at all until an instructor is found? I've heard that students are trying switch out of the class and into other classes because they don't have an instructor, and are still being taught by substitutes. It's such a shame many of these students who are seniors, many of which who are coming out of distance learning, signed up for Culinary Arts, yet are being taught by substitutes. They probably aren't even being taught much or learning much about Culinary Arts. I hope Mission Valley ROP is doing everything they can to get a qualified instructor to teach Culinary Arts at American, as there are 4 Culinary Arts classes and 1 Event Planning course offered at American. If anything, perhaps they should ask Chef Rosen to come back until a permanent instructor can be found? Just to show the impact of taking an ROP class, not only did I earn College Credit for one of the courses I took, to this day, I still stay in touch with one of my instructors, Sergeant Crawford. Unfortunately, the other instructor I had, Mr. Gary Marsh sadly passed away a few years ago.

Once I graduated I attended CCA in San Francisco and continued to go on a internship in Walt Disney World. Thank you for teaching this wonderful class.

The volcano was a new experience for me, so correct me if I'm wrong, but you sip the coffee without mixing. The coffee is iced but does not contain any ice cubs, as the milk is chilled. The iced honey vanilla latte was also good, strong coffee flavor and not super sweet. It takes a while for drinks to come out but that was expected as I read the reviews before coming here, and it is a nice to relax and slow down while waiting for your coffee. Probably best to preorder in advance, although the staff were kind enough to let me know when the "drops" were, and I managed to get the quantity we needed last minute. I got myself a drink as a treat. I'm no coffee expert, but it did taste delicious. The store has a surprising amount of sunlight, and natural feeling decor. I heard that service is slow, but it didn't feel particularly slow when I was there. Price is maybe a bit high, but not unexpected at a boutique store. I cannot work remotely at this location, but I would have loved to do so. It was quite busy on the public days I went (despite seemingly being in the middle of some industrial area) so the "membership" (essentially just prepaid store credit) benefit may be worth it for someone who is a regular anyway.

And she does that through food and hand-picked dishes that you will never uncover without a guide. Even though locations may change per tour, our group tasted a mix of cultures and got some stories behind the dishes, the restaurants, and their owners. Few examples - * Russian cuisine - Herring with a pickled onion on fresh bread * Indian street food - I was surprised how much I enjoyed this vegan street snack - I would have never ordered anything without meat, and I dislike spinach, but the fried spinach snack was mind-blowingly good. * Mexican - Quesadilla with plantain. Again, no meat but it was soooooo good. * Chinese - Glazed Pork and pork-filled bun I won't spoil the surprise for some of the other locations. And more, and more - Total of about 7-8 places. You won't stay hungry, guaranteed. The walk itself is not challenging; there are no hills to overcome, even though it's San Francisco. Don't wait - Just go!

Before working with her, I would have prided myself in most of those aspects and my knowledge of them, but she helped me put the pieces together to help them make sense and actually work together. Most importantly, she did it all in a manner that made me stick to these habits. Now, nearly 4 months since my last session, I can proudly say I've kept up with all my goals. I wish I could shout from the rooftops how amazing this woman is! It's also worth mentioning that i live on the opposite side of the country as her so for anyone hesitant to do virtual or phone visits, she made it work, even with the time difference. I am so glad I took the leap and did this for myself because it was the foundation I so desperately needed to build my new "me".

The end product was a beautiful cake that was much better than I imagined! It was a chocolate cake with vanilla icing and I was so happy she was able to use buttercream as opposed to fondant. So many bakers I had reached out to in the past with a similar type of request had told me this was not going to look the same as my request picture but Ashwini had NO issues at all which shows how skilled of a baker she is. Upon pickup, she also provided a pickup general guide which mentioned all of the objects on the cake were edible and which had a cast to avoid! Look no further if you're on the search for a Montessori preschool. My husband commutes to Fremont,…read moreso we thought it was perfect for our son to attend here. As for the campus, the layout is great. The gated fence around the school is secure with a keypad before the building's main door. Classrooms are well designed to have areas for practical life learning, math, language, etc. The structure of their day is perfect. Plenty of balance between Montessori work sessions, outside play, rest time and circle times. Meals and snacks are balanced with nutrition in mind (especially for our picky kiddo, who suddenly liked corn after school one day). We love when our son brings home his artwork and worksheets. Field trips take place on campus, which is a relief in terms of transportation and safety. One time, they brought the petting zoo there! When there are holiday events, the parents and family are welcome to see their performance for Thanksgiving and Christmas. During summer, they offer a fun variety of themes each week as well as some special days (like a Mad Science Show or Cooking week). Our 4-year-old has improved so much. He can be high energy, but the teachers have a lot of patience and understanding. The biggest factor for us was the Mandarin-immersive program. We immediately signed up for the waitlist. It was well worth it. They incorporate 2 circle times-- one in English and another in Mandarin. They learn songs, numbers, basically all of the basics and our son loves saying everything he's learned when he's back home. For their Chinese New Year celebration, they have an amazing dragon dance and have the children sing in Mandarin. The staff goes above and beyond when it comes to the children's education, safety, wellbeing and happiness at this school. Ms July, the school director, was warm and welcoming, remembering every child's name who ran up to us during our tour. Ms Lori, Ms Lydia and Ms Mia have been guiding our son with incredible care and attention. Our son couldn't pick a favorite, so he named each one. We can't thank everyone enough for their hard work and dedication.

While we are excited (and nervous) for him to move onto kindergarten this Fall, we are sad to leave EMP because they have been so amazing. Entrusting your kid to a school is scary but EMP made the process of transitioning him to a preschool super easy peasy and they were always so supportive, kind and trusting. We enrolled him when he was 3 years old and we kept him until he was 5, even though he could have attended TK when he was 4, but the level of support and care they provided him made it an easy decision to keep him at the preschool longer. The level of growth and maturity in the 2 years he was at EMP was astounding. He was once a timid, shy kid who would just stand there during performances but towards the end,he was belting out songs and doing the little dances. Thank you to the amazing teachers and staff - Ms. July, Ms. Lori, Ms. Lydia, and Ms Mia for teaching him and looking after him, and providing yummy meals and snacks. It's a Mandarin immersion preschool and while our son is still a bit shy to speak in Mandarin, I think it laid a good foundation for him since he is now in a Kindergarten Mandarin immersion school. I wish I could keep him at EMP longer but alas, he's more than ready for the next step in his educational journey, and ready to learn new things. He just started kindergarten and he's doing an awesome job. I am grateful for EMP for laying the foundation in preschool. Thank you to all the amazing teachers and staff!
