All I'm going to say is that wow. The food was just so good. The service was very good and fast. The ambiance was so amazing! They have like a downstairs area. They have cars for kids to sit in, overall 10/10 read more

I give 2 stars because decor. Philly cheese steak was like steakums nasty. Orion rings were good. It seemed like food mostly frozen and microwaved when ordered. I prefer better food. Try to revamp the business. read more

I cannot believe anyone eats here. The service and food was terrible and insanely overpriced. This was last week, 830pm on a week night. Needless to say they were not busy at all. Upon entering, the hostess had a bad attitude as soon as we requested a booth. She asked if a half booth would be ok and we stated that we would prefer a full booth. Picture a row of 5 booths and a few people in booth number 1 and no one in any surrounding tables. She huffed and puffed for a minute before saying "fine" and took us to booth number 5. We'll start with the table was sticky. I ordered the Italian sub with fries and my husband ordered the calzone. His calzone was awful. The so called shaved ribeye was nasty pieces of fatty, stringy, freezer burnt death. He tried picking it off but there was so much of it and the taste was over powering. My Italian sub, (ordered and received without tomatoe) was so terrible I can't believe they serve this. Looked like crappy prepackaged lunch meat you'd find at Aldi. It was layered as a slice of American cheese, a thin circle slice of questionable ham, lettuce, peppers, a thin slice of salami and a thin layer of mozzarella cheese. I was honestly shocked at this sub sandwich I was served. The fries had potential but were very under cooked. The waitress was nice enough, but never even cracked a smile and didn't come round much. I will never go here again, I will never recommend this place and I will tell anyone willing to listen how awful this place is. Save your money people!! This awful meal and overall awful experience cost me $40 plus tip, which wasn't deserving read more

Food was excellent! Ordered the large pizza and curly fries as an appetizer. We were seated in the bar area. I would recommend sitting in one of the two cars they have inside. Less noisy. Service was excellent and there was no wait time considering the parking lot was full! I will definitely come here again! read more

Pete's Garage - A great place to eat! The service was excellent and so was the food! I would definitely go back! - Sports Bars Near Me - Monroe, Michigan

The only reason they got two stars is cause they have a good Bloody Mary ( least whoever work's Saturday mornings the last few years). Tonight I had a family event there tried the pizza. I ordered it well done, & received a chewy dense blob with cheese that was barely melted.... It wasn't my choice to go there, and wouldn't recommend it.... read more

Great bar! I don't hang out down river much but I was in town and I was looking for somewhere to have lunch. As soon as I saw this place driving by I knew it would be good. Cool bar, great burger and lovely bar tender. If I'm ever there again I'm goin to Pete's! read more

Was there yesterday, Sunday May 27th! The food was disgusting! I had the steak, over cooked, full of fat, not medium and then for some strange reason they chose to put Blue Cheese on top of it that overpowered the taste of the steak! My wife got the combo platter! The chicken wings were so overcooked they were almost black! The mini tacos were old tasting, stuck together like they had been reheated! Service took forever, and our friend had the fish tacos and as she said: I eat here all the time and I am so so sorry, even my fish tacos are frikkin cold!! NEVER EVER AGAIN! Food tasted like crap! read more

Best sports bar in Monroe. Food is great bar grub. This isn't fine dining folks. It's a sports theme with comfort food. Biggest chicken wings I've ever seen. Portabello mushroom soup is dynamite. They ALWAYS have the best looking bartenders in Monroe!!!I Think they're around 40+ TV's now. If you can't find your local sporting event here... It's not to be found. read more

Pete's Garage has an identity crisis. Is it a restaurant? A sports bar? A meat rack? It may be OK for borderline alcoholic singles under 40, but it isn't for families. The food is below average and the bimbo waitstaff is lame. News flash: they are not interested in you... just your wallet. If it's delicious wings you seek, the Monroe Rod and Gun Club has 50 cent wings on the 2nd Friday of the month, and they are bigger and better than anything else you'll find. read more

amazing food. service was fast. and our waitress Alexia was absolutely amazing. will definitely be visiting again

We really like Pete's and go there often. The food is very good. The pizza is surprisingly good since they are not a pizza place. MANAGEMENT- PLEASE do something about the fries. Generic food service and always cold. Not up to the quality of the other foods. The only other comment I would add is to avoid the low priced specials IE dollar taco night. Many better options. We will be back, hopefully to better fries. read more

Ever since the dawn of my birth I have searched the far depths of the earth for a food that is worthy enough to be tasted by the gods. I have found that here in the most Devine food ever tasted by the flesh. Wings, they are delicious, tangy, spicy, and savory. Not only that, but they are less than 10 dollars!!!! If you never have eaten meat, or given it up, or never planned on that, give up everything, but before you do.. try these wings!!! read more

The worst wings I can remember having. Not just badly prepared, although they were over cooked, but they tasted like they were frozen for years, or well past fresh. Dripping in oil, the blue cheese dressing slid right off. I've never seen that before. I was worried when my waitress said it was $0.35 wing day. How can a wing be that cheap? Maybe this is how they get rid the old wings. On the positive side it seemed like a nice local sports bar with some interesting decor. Perhaps the rest of the menu is better, or the drinks. read more

Cute little place to visit in the area ,cute old cars you can dine in , the food is pretty tasty, some of the resteraunt looks like it could use a face lift and some Of the staff seem very bothered read more

While the atmosphere is fun, the food was a little lacking. Our son really enjoyed being able to eat inside the old car. Their beer selection is decent, and the service was good. The beef hard tacos were soggy and bland. The vegetarian fajitas were ok, pretty much your average run of the mill fajita. Nothing special. read more

Wonderful service. Great portions and food. Reasonable priced. The neat atmosphere of dining in a vintage car turned into a booth. Fun garage decor. Nice sports bar and also a nice family diner with great food. They have plenty of TVs. I just wish they would subscribe to pay per view events like Buffalo Wild Wings. They have great burgers. My favorite burger is the Blue cheeseburger with green olives from the bar you have to tell them that. Also like their onion rings or homemade potato chips are really good. read more

Cool casual environment. Was recommended by a local. Beer was ice cold. My burger was overcooked. Servers were dropping dirty dishes at the host stand. I've been here twice. Will probably not be back when in the area. read more

We went for the first time here on a Tuesday night and didn't know they had a special on wings every Tuesday. 35¢ wings and 50¢ shrimp. There is a couple conditions though. #1 you have to buy $1.99 item with them (fries were delicious). #2 you can only eat them THERE. NO TO GO BOX ALLOWED. All that said the wings were awesome! I got the breaded with mild, parm garlic and bbq(tastes exactly like KFC honey bbq) I'm a big guy and I could only eat 14 so they are huge! Maybe turkey wings? I dunno but they were big! Will definitely be back. read more

Best sports bar & grill in the Monroe area if you ask me. The waitstaff is friendly and service is good. The bar area is large and drink menu is plentiful. The food is bar food, but good bang for your buck. There are a few items on the menu that come in very large portion size which are indicated on the menu. The Pizza Calzone is good . There are 2 levels here. Both booths and table sitting are offered here. You can sit in an old classic car body if you want too. There are lots of big screen HD TV screens to view sports on. The waitstaff will put on tv whatever you prefer to watch if you ask them. There is also a pool table area seperate from the bar area if you like to shoot pool. There is also a digital music player to play whatever songs you would like, but no karoke here to my knowledge. read more

Stopped in for an early dinner on Friday, was promptly seated and asked for our drink orders. Good selection of draft beers, but no idea of cost due to the quirky new categories and lack of a price list. They now offer some beers in Tulip glasses (at a ridiculous up-charge). Asked the cost of a 8oz Tulip of Founders Dirty Bastard Scotch Ale, waitress didn't know so I went and asked bartender, $6.75. Got a pint of the same beer at another local place (Northside Bar and Grill) earlier that day (we're on vacation), for $4.75. Pete's Garage $13.50, Northside $4.75, you can decide if the ridiculous price difference is worth it. We just ordered soup for dinner, Mushroom and Chicken noodle. Both were barely lukewarm. The waitress apologized and promptly went to reheat it. She said the soup warming pots were turned down. In the future we'll patronize other establishments. read more

Decided to try this place the other night, should have changed my mind. Place was pretty empty but they seated us in the far back table right next to the kitchen, bathroom and server station. Although our waitress was extremely nice and patient with our questions, the food was terrible. I ordered the fish with onion rings instead of fries. The fish was something you would get out of a box from the store, onion rings were greasy as if they were put in oil that wasn't hot. My coleslaw was so riddled with pepper I couldn't eat it and the tarter sauce had some type of hot pepper in you couldn't taste anything else. My friend ordered a burger which was dry and tasteless, although her curly fries were good. Thankfully I didn't get burned when they came out of the kitchen with fajitas for another table and raised it over my head as to not hit me. I ordered a raspberry margarita on special for $1.99, it was surprisingly good although didn't understand why they put it in a plastic cup. I guess when you get a cheap drink you don't get a good glass. My friend ordered a drink, in a glass, but might as well been in a shot glass it was so small and watered down. The icing on the cake was the workers taking their breaks and bringing KFC in and eating it at the table. I Should have asked for a bite. If you are interested in food, I wouldn't go here. read more

Came in here last night with my buddy. We split wings and the beef tips. The wings were good, but in retrospect, I probably would have preferred to order them plain and then dipped them in the sauce after the fact. The sauce made them pretty soggy. They are, however, bigger than the standard chicken wing. 7.99 for 10 is a good value. The beef tips were good, but nothing extraordinary. I probably would venture to try something else next time. They had $1 burgers on Monday. Neither of us tried them, but I thought it was a really good deal nonetheless. His first drink was a dewars on the rocks, which came out looking like vodka - pretty much clear. I'm not one to complain about a pour...but I thought this was exceptionally light. I was drinking $2 bottles of Bud Light so no complaints there. The service was phenomenal. I stood in the doorway for about 30 seconds (after I had been helped) and two other servers asked me if I had been helped. So...it was nice that not one person walked by without acknowledging my presence. The menu seemed pretty extensive and varied for bar fare. I'd like to come back and try a couple other items. I'm kind of at a 3.5 with this place, but when I have to choose between 3 and 4, I think 3 is more appropriate for the time being. Don't spend too much time in Monroe, but if I'm in the area again I'll definitely consider giving Pete's another go around. read more

I've been going to Pete's for years, surviving many changes in the floor plan and the menu. It's a unique place, especially if you get to sit in one of the cars. I don't have kids but I'd imagine they would love that sort of thing. The place is kind of segmented, with a bar area, a seating area with the cars, another larger seating area on the second floor, and a sort-of-basement area with some pool tables. I used to come here all the time to play pool, but they don't have as many tables as they used to have. Most have disappeared since the remodel about ten years ago or so. Kind of shame but I don't think that was their greatest source of business. Lots of television screens so you can catch just about every game that's on especially if you're downstairs. Upstairs there's a large projector screen that usually has the big game of the day on. The parking lot is HORRIBLE and they should be ashamed of it. Since the remodel it's been a pain to park here. I'm sure there's a guideline they're meeting with a parking spaces to square footage ratio, but you run the risk of getting trapped in a spot or having your car dinged when you park here. For that reason, I rarely go when it's busy anymore and that's a shame because that's when Pete's is most fun. Food here is usually pretty great... I like the Cadillac Club (HUGE club sandwich), the pizza sub, and the regular old Garage Burger with cheese. A lot of my friends enjoy their fajitas. They're trying to promote more unique beers these days, but they do a poor job at it. There's a beer menu but it's not what they're actually serving. It's just a bunch of logos. Their "craft" beers are often big brewery products and I'm not sure the staff know any different, but it's not their fault. read more

Pete's garage has been a family favorite for many years! It had been 15 years since I had been back, but I'm glad I visited again. Hostess and waitress were very friendly, talkative, attentive, and polite. The food was excellent, I'd highly recommend the Chicago style pizza for a party of two and their fried ice cream is to die for with honey drizzle. Drinks were always full, food was delicious and plentiful, and the atmosphere was great, just as I had remembered. The only disappointing part of my visit was the folks at the bar who were mingling with waitresses and bar staff, using profanity, and discussing breasts and underwire bras. I remember my first beer... read more

Just awful. We brought the kids to dinner...ordered off of the kids menu for them and Mexican for us. After waiting almost an hour, and everyone around us served, our server noticed a problem. She assured us twice that our food was coming, only half up. Ya da ya da ya da. My tacos came out ice cold. I let her know and she was like...I only need 45 seconds! Then she brought out our side of cheese nachos. I went to help put them down...instantly burned my finger...big blister...she brought me ice. Tacos were still cold. They need to warm their shells I'm thinking. The server felt bad, because my eyes were watering from the burn. And know what? They never offered anything...like to take a meal off or a discount. We paid and left. I threw my tacos in the trash outside the door. Honestly the worst experience I've had in years. read more

I love Pete's! If I'm ever feeling super hungry, and want to get a lot of food for my money, I come here because everything is served in huge portions for super cheap. Their chicken sandwiches, ribs, salads, and deep fried ice cream are to die for! (very large too!) Although I've stopped going to Pete's for wing night (because it's WAYYY TOO PACKED!) i would recommend it to anyone who wants to try it! A+++ Restaurant in my eyes! read more

Just left after sitting for 15 minutes with no server. I used my cell to call since we were seated in one of the 2nd floor cars. The woman who answered laughed and thought it was funny. Then 3 servers talked & laughed for a few minutes. We came downstairs to pay for drinks and only then did someone approach me that she was coming to take my order. No thanks. We just left. Apologies work better than laughing. You just lost a long time customer read more

Right when you walk in you get a garage vibe. There are traffic signs and cars that you can actually sit in to eat. The staff is friendly and attentive. The food is really good and you don't have to wait long for it which is a plus. The music choice is very unique. You could hear a Katy Perry song and a 2 Chainz song right after. I really don't mind it though, just something I noticed. This place is also great for groups. I went with a group of ten people including myself on a busy night and we had no problem getting a table and food in very good time. Also, I highly recommend trying the fried ice cream. read more
