Would not recommend in any way shape or form-Beware!!!!!!! ! Zero stars. I personally had a wrecked vehicle recently towed into their (yard ) aka mudhole and it's absolutely amazing how i was lied to by their employee and mislead on what I could /could not take off the vehicle I own. Bad business ethics!!!!!! The police tend to use this service on accidents and I have no idea why other than they may be the only tow company available In the area. Never again would I use them and I would recommend others do not either. I can't tell you in enough ways how great Peterson's is. My car died in a roundabout just outside Mesick on the way to (and hoping to continue through) Cadillac. A kind person stopped and help me push the car in neutral out of the way. And a Wexford county deputy stopped to check on me as I was calling my wife and the deputy called a tow for me. A blessing from God that it was Peterson's. The young man who showed up was empathetic and compassionate to me. He was able to recommend a mechanic in town to tow to and billed the tow to them so the amount would be all inclusive of the tow and repair. He let me climb in the truck and told me to adjust the air and radio as I wanted. Then he quickly and efficiently loaded my vehicle. He was friendly and we chatted on the drive. He literally gave me a door delivery to the hotel I requested in town and I thanked him profusely. I hope you never break down like me or need repairs in this way. I had the front wheel bearings go out on my truck in st ignace on vacation with my family. A different shop fixed it up there but told me to stop 100 miles after and have a shop check my lug nuts to make sure everything was still tight. I stopped at 4 other shops that told me it would be a 2 hour plus wait or just refused to do it because they were to busy. when I stopped here and asked if they could help the owner was in disbelief that no one would take the 30 seconds it took to check them and they did it for no charge i left a tip because i dont believe in getting something for nothing and because no one but them took the 30 seconds to help me out. Great people at this shop no hesitation to help. I would give 10 stars if I could. read more

We have been using Peterson's Towing for 15 years or so . Mostly hauling heavy equipment with the Landoll trailer . They are always on time and very professional overall . Bob is our favorite driver but they have many well trained professional staff members . read more

Excellent service. If you need tire or an oil change Sunday would be your best day for doing it. There is only one person there but there are less people getting work done. Scott is a reasonable guy and would never do anything malicious or tell you to get something you don't need. All in all this is a great place to get you car worked on. And if you break down the offer a towing service. And all the guys are always willing to help and are good people. read more

If I could give them a zero star review I would. The driver stripped my lugnut and they still charged my insurance full price to tow me when they screwed up my car. The manager was completely rude and didn't seem to care. read more

Hit a deer late at night, nearest town was Cadillac. Insurance company called Peterson to tow car. I thought the driver was rude, and clearly did not want to be bothered during the night. Asked where he was towing the car, and he was very vague. The next morning, the office woman was extremely rude. If you want to deal with friendly service, DON'T call this place. read more

Spent 2 hours in the ditch last night due to black ice. Another motorist was in the ditch across from me (on 131). Finally, a Peterson tow truck pulled up, and pulled the other motorist out and sent him on his way. He then (the tow driver) pulled forward, toward my car, sat for a couple of minutes and then drove off! I was definitely NOT impressed and neither were the state police that was sitting there with me to wait for me to be pulled out. I had to wait another hour for a different tow company to show up. They had me out of the ditch in less than 15 minutes. Very unprofessional and rude on Peterson's part. Not to mention the fact that they held up State troopers who I am sure had better things to do than sit and wait for me to be pulled out (although I thank them for staying). I will NEVER recommend this company to anyone again. read more

I was driving back to Chicago from northern MI on Tuesday, and had just started our long drive with me and our 2 kids with the car packed to the brim, when I got a flat tire. Not only was their tow service fast and efficient and kind (thanks Caleb), but little did I know, when Walmart didn't have my tire in stock, they referred me to Peterson's for a tire too. We got there and they were so so kind, helpful, reasonably priced and just good people. Mark helped us out and made my kids actually have fun while we waited and recommended a couple of places to go eat and he got the new tire on the car in no time and us back on the road. He had no interest in selling me an overpriced tire I didn't need, or in any way taking advantage of our situation. He clearly felt bad about what had happened and took really good care of us. He even drove the car around for me before putting us back on the highway to make sure everything was truly right with the new tire, Honestly, Mark and his team turned a crappy day into a pretty fun little adventure in Cadillac. Only good thing about this place is that they will show up fast for road side assistance if your insurance agency calls them. I blew a tire and was 2 hours from home. This was the second tire blown in less than a year. I decided to replace the last 3 because I had a long drive ahead of me. The employees aren't very approachable. I expressed my concerns about having work done on my car so far from home in case anything went wrong. I was reassured that if it's a tire defect a mastercraft dealer would replace them for free. I was then told if anything went wrong just to call them and they would help to figure out what to do. So I went forward with it. Was told that it wouldn't take more than an hour and 15 minutes because of a new guy. I was there for over 2 hours. I get my car back and everything seems fine. The next day I pack my family up and head home. My car was shaking really bad on the highway. We checked lug nuts and they were fine. Going of what this man told me I said I would just call them when we were home and that's when I learned the true colors of this company and their employees. First man I talked to told me that he was unable to answer my question about the company he worked for being a good company and fixing their mistakes without causing more inconvenience to the customer. Instead I'm told to call a manager the next day. Next day comes I decide to call on my lunch break. I get a different guy who tells me I can't speak to a manager but he would take my info and complaint and speak with the manager on my behalf...not impressed. I then get a call back and talk with a manager after I get out of work. I tell this man my tires aren't balanced. He tells me I need to bring my car in. I explain that I am 2 hours away and I get told that where I live isn't his problem. I ask if I can bring my car somewhere local and he told me no they won't pay another shop. I said of the. Refund my money for that service. He again told me no because I will be using it to pay another shop. This man wanted me to drive 2 hours to his shop on unbalanced tires with my 2 year old daughter in the car. He assures me that his men are very skilled and know what they are doing. Tells me if I bring it to another shop that it could be tampered with and no longer their liability. Thinking of the safety of my daughter and myself I decide to walk into a local belle tire and ask them for their advice. They ask to look at my car in which I let them because I needed it fixed and clearly petersons wasn't going to help. The mechanic at belle tire returns to tell me my car is fixed and ready to go. He says 1 tire was balanced. I'm thinking ok they messed up 2...not the case. The one good tire was the one I didn't have replaced. All 3 tires petersons "qualified and skilled mechanics" put on my car were off balanced. It wasn't a slight off balance either. Mind you the men at belle tire were so upset with me that they fixed my car for free. So for a recap....petersons has rude employees, unprofessional management, unskilled off the street people working on cars, and like to take your money for services you pay for without actually doing the work and refuse to refund your money back to you. Btw when does it take over 2 hours to balance and mount new tires???? Only good thing about this company was the man that showed up at 10 at night to help remove a broken lug nut from my flat tire. read more

For my SUV, I needed to switch my snow tires with the all season ones that I already had from last year... I mixed up my SUV tires with my boyfriend's when I took them to the store without realizing... but I guess they did not notice the difference either... they called me to tell me that I had one tire that did not belonged to the set.. they already had installed the other three... I went back with the right tire and they still told me that it was not the right one.... Guess what... the three tires that they had already installed were the wrong ones... I don't understand how they can not tell the difference.. they installed three snow 14R tires instead of 15R all season.. I am the first in recognizing that I took the wrong tires but how they did not notice...??? of course, they want to charge me again so I am going somewhere else where they have more skilled and experienced professionals... read more
