Dardon's Custom Woodworks & Remodeling - Kitchen remodel with new custom built shaker style cabinets

I enjoyed working with Chris and his team. They did full kitchen remodeling in our house in 8…read moreworking days which was so much faster than any other estimate from other companies between 4 to 5 weeks. They built and installed all new cabinets, replaced lights fixtures, added new recessed lights, painted walls, ceiling, doors, added lights under the cabinets. Basically they did everything that I asked them to do. Also they agreed to put back my old granite countertop that helped me to save some money. I was very happy that they took ownership of the whole project, and I did not have to hire anyone else. Another thing that I really appreciated was that Chris was easy to work with. He gave me good advice when I asked his opinion. He never insisted on things to be done his way and always did it how I asked him to even when things had to be redone. I would highly recommend working with Chris and his team! They are very prefossional and have expertise in doing everything, and also their pricing is reasonable.

The furniture had been built to such a poor standard that I had no choice but to find someone who could correct the numerous mistakes. I was very worried about what might even be possible and of course the cost of essentially redoing the job. Chris put my fears to rest. He assured me that he could correct the problems but also had great ideas on how to change/improve the overall look. He and his team did an excellent job, were thorough and professional, timely, and a Great value for the money. I am thrilled with the finished product. If I have any needs at all in the future for custom work, I know 100% that I'll be using Chris Dardon and do highly recommend him

Our kitchen is a picture of absolute perfection - thanks for Alex and his team! He did an amazing…read morejob and went above and beyond to make sure everything - absolutely everything, was perfect and to our liking. I was in awe of his attention to detail, the care he showed from the beginning of the process to the very end and the precision with which everything was executed. A+ indeed!!! Here is the whole story for those interested: We are in the process of bringing our whole house into the 21st century and we decided to start with the hardest, but probably most exciting - our kitchen. It took several months for us to come up with the design and pick the cabinets. We knew we would most likely pick IKEA cabinets as they are about the only place in town that offers great modern-looking cabinets. We looked at Lowes, Home Depot and Cabinets to Go, just to check them off the list and decided to go with IKEA in the end, just as we thought we would. Another reason we went with IKEA was because they offer an online kitchen planning tool where you can do your layout and see how everything fits and IKEA will even verify your plan and create a shopping list for you so you order everything that's needed. We also liked IKEA's price transparency - you make your plan, you pick your cabinets and the program calculates the total price of your kitchen for you. We even thought we would get the countertop there and have everything installed by IKEA, to make the process super easy and simple. So once we designed the kitchen, picked our cabinets and were ready to move forward with installation, it turned out not everything was that simple. IKEA told us that we would not be able to get what we wanted because they hardly do any customizations - they don't cut cabinets, they don't cut doors, they wouldn't put a panel we wanted on one of the kitchen walls and they wouldn't even adjust an insert for a 12" cabinet to have one shelf instead of two! And every time we talked to an IKEA rep they told us a different thing! We were getting frustrated and after several weeks of trying to make adjustments and make compromises, we decided that we need to go with plan B - find someone else to install our kitchen. While starting looking for someone else, I remembered that one of my friends, who had her kitchen done recently, highly recommended Aplus. I found the phone number and called. I left a message and Alex promptly returned my call. He came over that same week to look at the space and I immediately had a good feeling about him. I emailed him the kitchen plan and he provided a quote a few days later. The quote was comparable to IKEA price-wise, but we were getting everything we wanted and more, so I told Alex that we, of course, are going to pick APlus! Installation was very smooth and I felt like it was more of a collaboration than a hired contractor doing an installation. I told Alex that there were some things I was not sure about and wanted to see how each version would look before deciding on the final one and Alex was more than happy to accommodate and he provided lots of invaluable advice, too. He also provided extra services per our request. We wanted to install laminate on all three walls in the kitchen to serve as backsplash and when I told him that I had trouble finding someone to do it, he agreed to install it and it looks perfect! He also installed the exhaust hood - and it's perfect, of course. I tell you - we would hire Alex to do EVERYTHING he would agree to do with the rest of the remodel - that's how much we trust him and appreciate the quality of his work. I know I am going to sound very sentimental when I say this, but I truly feel that he is a rare gem that we were lucky to find. The love and care he puts into his work is absolutely priceless!

Well, I've given a personal recommendation to Scott & Company after the work that Heather, Jose and…read moreteam did on my recent bathroom and laundry remodel, so I figured it was time to bring that to the land of Yelp. A few years ago, I did my first remodel project ever and really enjoyed the process and outcome. I decided I was ready for the next phase of work in my home, and my former contractors were not available. So, I went back on the market for a contractor. I interviewed several, but the overall vibe I got from Heather and Jose gave me confidence that they were the right choice even before I received their bid. The bid I did receive was extremely thorough and the price was the right value for the work that we had envisioned. Heather absorbed hints from my prior remodel choices and infused them into the plan for this work. I wanted things to feel similar in terms of look and feel, but knew that it wouldn't necessarily be a "match." We achieved that with her design recommendations. She listened to me and was thoughtful about giving me perspective based on her years' of experience. I did an in-person visit to select tile with her and she dedicated time and energy to making sure that that process was easy. The other touches we did via email, text and a shared Wayfair cart. Nothing was purchased without my approval and her work with Wayfair helped when unfortunately the tub was delivered damaged. Once the work started, Jose was extremely diligent with the work he and his team did. In renovations, you have to expect the unexpected and Jose was always clear and up front when things hit a snag or were running ahead of schedule. Things did end up taking longer than expected because of the tub issue (it would have been more/less on time based on the initial projection without that), but the project did wrap up and I'm extremely pleased with the results. I would absolutely recommend Scott & Company for your remodeling needs!

I started this project with a…read moresimple idea for a primitive kitchen island, and what they delivered is a stunning, custom piece that feels like it was always meant to be in our home. Heather's detailed drawings helped me clearly see what was possible, and her guidance transformed my basic vision--two drawers and a couple of shelves--into a beautifully designed island with 12 drawers that maximizes storage. She even helped me find the perfect countertop remnant to finish the piece. She was infinitely patient, and there was never a question that our project was a priority. When I compared quotes, Scott & Company's initial estimate was right in line with three other bids I received. As we added more drawers, the cost increased as expected, but the craftsmanship, functionality, and beauty of the final product made it worth every single dollar. From start to finish, the process felt collaborative, professional, and fun. We are absolutely thrilled with the result and wholeheartedly recommend Scott & Company to anyone looking for exceptional quality and true value.

I posted this on Google Review, and felt the obligation to post at Yelp so more people can know and…read moreuse U Granites & Cabinets More for your next home renovation project. U granites & Cabinets More's product and service are so much beyond my expectations. Originally we had the plan to update the kitchen during the pandemic, Amy came to my house to have everything measured, use 3D software generate the 3D model, made sure everything aligned what we wanted. We didn't pull the trigger due to many factors. The year after, we called Amy again. She came to the house, did the measurement, did the 3D model. We backed out again. This year, we called Amy again. She didn't say anything. Came over again, did the 3D model. We paid the deposit. Finally we started the project. During this process, Amy shows her patience, professionalism and attention to the details. Once the demolition and installation started, everything was organized in such a nice, efficient, and less disturbing way. The demolition was done in a day, and every trash was picked. Amy's husband, Victor, came to the house, with his experience and knowledge, discussed every details I need to think through - We removed two parts of the kitchen area so it brought some variations. He provided the options, respected my choice, and of course, with his knowledge about house remodeling trend, to make sure I have well-educated information. With his experience and knowledge, it increase my kitchen countertop's functionality and usage area. I can't thank him enough for that. U Granites & Cabinets are high quality. If you are not familiar with that market, you will get lost - just like me walking into Home Depot to look at those prebuilt countertop and vanity. I like the cabinet's materials, how it built (those features I probably didn't really think about before). I started with the kitchen cabinets and countertops, extended to the bathroom's vanities . I am very happy about the decision, and much more appreciative what Amy, Victor and other staffs at U Granites & Cabinets More has provided. Victor did a huge favor to me by doing all kind of other jobs along the kitchen remodeling. I tell you, that's another level experience and knowledge from him about house remodeling and how to have those done correctly, effectively and cost-efficiently. Cost wise, I gave you my example. I hired a general contractor who quoted me $14K for all demolition (kitchen and tiles) only. My total cost with U granite (Kitchen countertop, cabinets and demolition) is less than that number. If you come across this shop and this review, I highly recommended at least give Amy a call or stop by at their shop to check out their offering. I would be happier that you do choose them as remodeling partners because I know you are making the correct decision.

I'll list my experience below: -padded extra $400 onto quote for sink cut out and new sink which was not discussed during quote process. Luckily I saw that and purchased my own sink (also, they could've used the original sink too, so why add $200 without consulting with the client?) -added extra $40 onto granite removal charge. Quoted me $5/sq ft for removal. -cracked my backsplash and only offered $50 refund, and claimed "they're not responsible for damage" ...what?! -counter top came with scratches and scuff marks which they claim wasn't from them. It was installed in a new home where no one was living, and I saw it the day it was installed. Was definitely them -caused a leak when they removed sink, did not alert me to the severity of leak nor make any attempt to resolve it, which resulted in water piling up in my cabinet for a full day and ruined the bottom cabinets. -did not caulk countertop, so unnecessary open spaces between wall and countertop -damaged brand new cabinetry, also denied that. Sent pictures for undeniable evidence. This company is sloppy and they do not take responsibility for their shoddy work. I cannot recommend this company to anyone considering countertop replacement.
