Emergency oil top up on our car was needed, a Porsche Panamera, which you do not just take to any Jiffy Lube. Traveling from out of town, I was able to find Peter's Auto Center. Peter and his team did an amazing job on my Jaguar xf. I asked him to fit a Hydrogen system to save fuel and emissions. This turned out to be a challenge. He and his team put in extra hours and had the system fitted and running great. I was expect a hefty bill but was very pleasantly surprised. Friendly owner, fast service, and always tries to make sure that you're the most informed about the vehicle you own as possible, since, sure, he's fixing it, but he wants to build trust with you as the consumer, since at the end of the day, you could be coming back (I would be, if I lived in the area!). I have driven a Saab and a Saturn most recently, and he was able to help service both vehicles; heck, he even has specific TRAINING to work on these kinds of cars, as well as many other ones. When my car had a flat and I brought it in for him to examine, he ordered replacements for the tires and fixed the tire socket in the few hours I was there. He even ensured that the replacement tires he ordered were the best price possible, and that they matched the front two tires I had (Continentals, if you're wondering). The only reason I'm not giving him a 5 star is because he didn't seem that well-informed about prices or services of other Auto Centres in the Kitchener-Waterloo area. I understand that he's "competing" with them, but it'd be nice to know the relative price range of other places. I did my own research and found a place that could service my vehicle closer to where I live, so I had gone to there more frequently, but this was definitely a place that I could recommend to someone with an exotic taste in cars. I'm a student (or I was... a few days ago, anyway), so my budget is obviously limited. Finding the best price possible is of paramount importance to me, and while he did offer me a great rate to do the 100K tune-up (drivechain, spark plugs, oil change, etc), I still feel like I wasn't really offered the opportunity to shop around (my home dealer does this for me and lets me know if I should go elsewhere for cheaper service, but I stick with him because he's way faster than most other places). I give a solid "would recommend", since he's fast, he's efficient, he's knowledgeable, and he's personable. He's definitely a great person to talk to; check it out if you have any work on your car that you need done in the KWC area. read more

I will only go to Peter's Auto Center for repairs on my Mercedes. I drive from Windsor and I find Peter extremely knowledgeable, and mixed with his passion for ensuring that each vehicle is safely and thoroughly repaired gives me great peace of mind. Peter takes the time, to go over all repairs and explain why they are needed, and if anything else needs to be addressed. Unethical - beware the bait and switch. I originally chose to have them take a quick look over a car I was thinking about buying for a 3rd party opinion. Their generally good reviews were what made me decide to call them. I explained a quick look was needed for the car and asked for the price. Daniel, the receptionist, said it would only be $40. Frankly I was surprised and willing to pay more but was happy for the competitive price. Upon arriving with the car for a quick look-over, however, Daniel said his manager said the cost would now be $100+ dollars, even though I literally called 40 minutes before and told Daniel I would be driving over. As you can imagine, when someone jacks up a price roughly 3 times and their service (a car inspection) is dependent on trust, my trust in them was erased. Obviously I did not play the fool and pay them for their "trusted 3rd party opinion" after that. Advice to management: it's nearly 2016 and these old-school bait-and-switch tactics backfire in the era of Yelp and Google Reviews. I'd have gladly paid the $100+ if you originally quoted that cost on the phone, but changing costs after people have already called in for a standard service is just dirty. Keep your word, do right and you'll always have customers at your door. read more
