We both have straighter teeth and can smile even more now. :D I no longer have to worry about a random elementary school student suggesting I get braces, lol, (which really happened). It was great that our dental insurance paid for a huge portion of our Invisalign, so we only paid around $200/month. Totally worth it! Special thanks to the staff at Dunn Orthodontics. They always make each visit a pleasant experience with their friendly conversations. Hugo, Angela, Barbara, Dr. Dunn and all the technicians there are awesome. The only thing I would change is the country music, but maybe most people don't have the same dislike of it as much as I do, haha. We are now Invisalign graduates and now just wear Vivera retainers at night to make sure our teeth stay in place.

They brought me in pretty fast. I filled out paper, did a COVID screening then sat down with the dr and went through my teeth history. I let him know about some bluish color around the base of my root canal. We did x-rays and I had a cavity. We made an apt for a filling and he recommended a new crown. I received the quote and was surprised by the pricing. I opted for the filling and skipped the crown. I called my insurance since the crown should have been covered. They said the Dr may have upgraded the crown and that's why it isn't covered. The Dr did my filling himself and he was very quick and the shots were nearly painless. I was shocked how quick he was. After my apt, I asked him If he upgraded my crown because I was surprised by the price. Instead of just saying yes and explaining why, I felt like i was attacked. "He said you need a good crown. You grind your teeth too. I had to file your back tooth down to nearly flat. Normally, I only have to do that two or three times with patients, but yours took a long time. You have no ridges." I was offended. He was talking about the tooth that he just filled, not even the tooth that needed the crown. I've been reluctant to even go back for a cleaning. I finally swapped providers and wont be returning.

We did not know they were only in the office 2 days a week when we contracted to have our son's braces there. We don't like him to miss school for appointments so it's very difficult to get an appointment in a timely manner. We had to cancel an appointment because he was sick and now it's taking 4 MONTHS to get a new appointment that isn't during school hours! Absolutely ridiculous! You cannot call the office directly. You get a call center in India. They will give you a direct number you can text, if you're lucky, but that number changes and they don't let you know, so usually my texts go unanswered. Another kicker is that our son got sick on a Saturday when the office is closed. He had an appointment that Monday that I tried to cancel and reschedule but they only have an emergency number to call. You can't leave a message to give the required 24 hour cancelation notice. I looked online and there was no other number and no email address so I called first thing Monday morning. They actually wanted to charge me a $50 fee for not canceling within the 24 hours!!! I was hopping mad. We have 2 more kids that may need braces but they sure won't be getting them at KidsCare. They have obviously taken on more patients than they can take care of. Another example of corporate greed. I will give them 2 stars because Dr. Carlos is really wonderful but we will miss him.

Mike Staveris has been known to my family since 2015. My oldest child, who is now 15, has been…read moreunder Dr. Staveris's care since she was 5. My middle child has been seeing him for the past 2 years, and my youngest has just started. The staff is very nice, friendly, and knowledgeable, and the environment is well-maintained and clean. I have no complaints about that. However, my concern lies with the doctor himself. Over the last 1.5 years, I've noticed a change in Dr. Staveris. Perhaps he's getting older or tired, but he seems to lack patience with his patients, especially pediatric patients aged 5 to 6 years old. As you know, children of this age can't hold still for long periods and may become fussy if a procedure lasts longer than 10-15 minutes. They simply can't stay still for more than 5-7 minutes. About a year ago, I witnessed Dr. Staveris becoming aggressive and raising his voice at my middle child when she was making sounds of discomfort during a procedure and trying to communicate (with her mouth open) that she needed a break due to pain. Today, for the second time, I observed his aggression towards my 5-year-old son, who was struggling to cope with the dental procedure. I was shocked to see Dr. Staveris shouting at my young child when he was trying to express, with his mouth open, that he was in pain after being scratched by a tool and needed a break to rest his mouth And one more thing, Dr. Staveris likes to talk to his assistant during the procedure, discussing personal matters. Instead of focusing on the task at hand and utilizing time efficiently while the tooth is numb, he engages with his assistant. As a result, precious time is wasted, leading to the need for a second shot to numb the tooth because the initial time allotment has expired. These are disappointing factors. We have decided not to return to Dr. Staveris. Apologies, Doc :( - Note: the Yelp removed my review, saying that I did not have experience at this location. I am reposting this message, and yes, I did have the experience at this location.
