Kind of a weird vibe in here - but otherwise a normal Academy…read more Location/ parking : I'm so glad that there's at least 1 academy in town . They seem to always be on the outskirts. Because of this it seems a bit smaller than other locations but still has the basics They have a huge parking lot Selection: They have plenty of summer outdoor clothes which is what I came for . That being said, their women's swimsuits are really lacking ... I couldn't find a single plain one- piece They have the usual fishing and hunting sections too, though hunting is in a bump out separate from the rest of the store . In this Academy, fishing licenses are sold at checkout - not in the hunting/fishing area Dressing rooms: They had a lot of dressing rooms available. They were clean but dingey with no attendant Service: The greeter was very awkward and barely greeted me at all. Was an awkward entry. I didn't see another person until checkout and while polite , the cashier was very quiet and not particularly informative while I was buying my fishing license .

NEVER GO OR BUY ANYTHING FROM THAT BRAND OR STORE…read more BE CAREFUL OF SCAMS I am extremely dissatisfied with my recent experience at the Dick's Sporting Goods of 2131 Post Oak Blvd, Houston, TX 77056. I purchased an item that, upon further inspection, did not accurately match the description provided on its labeling and was therefore unsuitable for its intended use. When I attempted to return the item on May 9, 2026, the store staff Martin denied the return request on the grounds that the item had been opened. What was particularly concerning was that the store refused not only to process the refund, but also to return the item or receipt to me. Additionally, I was left without any reimbursement, which I believe reflects a highly unprofessional handling of a legitimate customer concern. After expressing my intention to file complaints with the Better Business Bureau and relevant consumer protection agencies, the situation escalated unnecessarily. A security individual was brought into the interaction and presented himself in a manner implying law enforcement authority, yet he declined to provide identification, a badge number, or his name when requested. During the encounter, I felt intimidated and harassed. The individual also made physical contact with me without justification and attempted to photograph me and obtain images of my identification using a personal cell phone, actions I found deeply inappropriate and troubling. Overall, I found the environment hostile and the conduct of the staff and security personnel highly unprofessional. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this location to other consumers. I intend to pursue formal complaints through the Better Business Bureau and applicable consumer protection channels, and I will also explore potential legal remedies regarding the handling of this incident and the conduct of the personnel involved. Furthermore, I will continue seeking a full refund for the disputed purchase.

On my first visit, Tyler recommended a bike for my needs, definitely knowledgeable and friendly. Tito helped me on the second visit. He was really patient and nice, letting us try different bike frame sizes, showing us how to properly take apart the bike for transport, and suggesting accessories. Overall impression from these two was that they seem like really nice guys who love their craft. Not only can you give the bikes a ride in store, you can take it outside and try it out in the back alley which really helped since there aren't as many obstacles. They only sell Trek branded bikes, but they come in so many models and sizes (from tricycles for the tiny kids to ones with wheels thicker than my forearm). There are tons of accessories (phone mount, rear lights, bags, etc), clothing, and nutrition items to browse, and there is also seating area with coffee/drinks. They do servicing here as well and do a free 3 month and 1 year maintenance service on their bikes. Overall really happy with my first big bike purchase with TREK!

I mean the bikes are expensive AF not the $300 bikes from Walmart. Everything was so neat and organized. When I become rich I'll come back and grab one of these 4-5k bikes lol

Recently, I purchased a SKLZ batting trainer for my kid's birthday and when he opened the box, the bag containing the stakes was open. I took it back to the store and they agreed to exchange it for another one. A few days later, my son and I set the trainer up at the park and began working on his swing technique. After aboout 30 swings, the "Power Band System," which is supposed to provide controlled ball return speed, broke. We left the park and headed straight over to Dick's to return the trainer, but I forgot my return receipt, and the manager couldn't look up my purchase without the receipt (totally questionable) and he suggested that the manufacturer be contacted or if I find the return receipt I can call Dick's customer service, because there was a form that they have that he can't access. Customer service couldn't understand what form the manager was referring to, so the next day I went back to the store. That mananger wasn't there, but another one signed off on my return with no fuss.
