My 1st experience is how I found a Dentist for my family, I was blessed to have him take care of my family while deployed. Don't know her name. She didn't say barely two words to me and the dentist wasn't any better. She handed me sunglasses and was just so snobbish! He gave me the numbing shots and when he did the one in the roof of my mouth it startled me and it hurt! I accidentally said the word " s#it" under my breath and he immediately scolded me. He said " Don't say that! Say shoot!" I was taken back because I can say whatever I want and it was under my breath. I didn't scream and yell. Then him and the stuck up blonde were in the room off the exam room and were whispering about me. They didn't think i could hear them. He was telling her how decayed my tooth iw is and how he never has done a filling on a tooth that bad. It was the way they were whispering. I felt uncomfortable and judged because i had a bad tooth. After the filling he tells me " it may last 6 years, 6 days or 6 hours." Wowww Doc. Thanks for that Fast forward I had to call of a Friday to reschedule a Monday appointment. The office was closed. I called a little after 3. Because it was a weekend I guess they charged me 75$ for canceling. Wouldn't see me until i paid that. I ended up needing a tooth pulled. They wouldn't see me until i came in for a cleaning. I eneded up having to pay almost 800$ for an urgent care appointment. ​Fast forward i found a different dentist and the receptionist asked for a emailed copy of my trays. They said i would need to be paid 30$ to email it. I said absolutely not. The law in NY is they can only charge for the physical labor of emailing the document and the patient does not have to pay the email system, which they were charging me for. However after I stated this they said they didn't have the record. Lies!! I already have severe anxiety of dentists and this man and his staff didn't help. He acts like it's an inconvenience to do his job and has forgotten that the patient's are customers. I notice with every negative review there is a follow up directly contradicting the negative remarks. Obviously his staff , family, and friends in my opinion. My review is honest!! I can assure you of that. ​

They had a massaging dental chair that was relaxing and helped distract me from the dental procedure and they gave me a warm blanket. I saw Dr. Hazen, DDS, who created a bonded tooth for me until I can get home to my dentist and order a new porcelain veneer. Everyone was extremely kind.... receptionists, dental assistants, dentist, and every employee at Smile Associates who I came into contact with. If I lived in the area this would be my new dentist! When I tried to give feedback and ask for better notice--at least a call and email the day before--the receptionist became defensive and rude, telling me I should have called or emailed them instead. The manager, however, was very kind and helpful. The team in the back seems great, but the front desk coordination needs improvement. Poor scheduling and unprofessional attitude made the experience frustrating.

It got worse to the point it was throbbing all night, preventing me from sleeping. And there are only so many pain pills we can safrly take. I contacted Dr. Li's office, based on my prior good experiences with them, and they had me in the very next day. Amazing. Dr. Li diagnosed that I had an infection, set me up with antibiotics and gave me the option of extracting the bad tooth or a root canal. Normally the term "root canal" would scare me, but I am confident in Dr. Dong Li's work and do not expect it to be unpleasant at all. The absolute best dentist I have ever had.

We left and went to a new dentist because our insurance changed and his practice didn't except it. I went to two different dentists during that time. Terrible experiences. We changed our insurance to one they excepted and I couldn't get there fast enough. I have had many thousands of dollars of work done there and I am always 100% satisfied. I send all of my friends and family to them.
