I was just realizing I miss looking at properties with her, and that I should update this review! I should say that the Cosser office when required to help with something during the closing was always there and helpful - reviewing Lyndsay alone is no slight on the rest of the, it's just that Lyndsay was our agent, and outstanding.

Broken dry wall, a busted basket ball hoop, old carpet padding, a broken entertainment center, etc. We have already taken a full truck load to the dump, and there is at least three or four more that need to go. Not to mention the house has RATS in the attic, which we are now paying over $1,200 to get rid of. (It is possible she did not know about the rats, but seems unlikely.) We loved this house from the beginning, and did not even try to bargain on the price; we offered and paid the listing price. It is very disappointing that a "professional" conducts business is such a despicable manner.

It's hard to know how to find people who will do right by you. Some of these reviews have twenty perfect five stars without even a four star. Ok... The Holbrooks helped us find our farm. They showed all the properties I was interested in, but the biggest thing was they lacked initiative. They volunteered no information on a suitable place to raise chickens and geese. There are hawks in the area we knew nothing about. The heavy rains make replacing pasture boards a must every season. The long drive into town is tiresome. Maintenance on the farm is very hard work, so many things need to be done. The houses here range from million dollar properties to some really run down ones. We knew none of this because they didn't bother getting to know us or asking what our goals were. They just showed houses. This is where most realtors are at, right in the middle. Not saying the Holbrooks were a fail, this farm is beautiful and my skills in working around all the things that keep a ten acre farm running have really improved. They also could have negotiated on our behalf, we got stuck with really bad carpet. Coming home and seeing my horses grazing on acres of green pasture with a view of Rainier, makes up for it. No tract housing development is even close to what we have. Still..I'm writing an honest review and if they had volunteered more information their score would be higher. I'd recommend them for a farm family, but coming from an executive life to a farm was very difficult for my spouse. Ok, he's not a farmer, but I spent many happy summers at my grandparents farm, so it was easier. In hindsight, I should have contacted someone more familiar with executive relo's. This is a fair score for our situation, and my spouses view. I would be willing to recommend them for people in other situations.

Hired JC Construction and Pole Barns, owned by Chris Haines (no relation), to replace the roof on a…read more20×20 outbuilding used for equipment storage. The roofing work was completed, but everything after that completely broke down. They purchased materials for additional work, which I paid for, and told me twice they would provide an estimate. That estimate never came. Over five weeks: no returned calls, no responses to texts, a second site visit to reassess work already reviewed, and repeated promises with zero follow-through. I was left with paid materials, a stalled project, and no way to move forward. What's most concerning is not just the delay, but the complete lack of communication and accountability. When a contractor disappears after taking payment and initiating additional work, it raises serious concerns about reliability and how they handle customers once they have your business. Because of this experience, I will not be using them for any future projects. I had multiple additional buildings and a large barn planned, and they have lost all of that business. If you hire this company, be prepared for the possibility of being ignored and left waiting with no answers. This experience cost me time, delayed my project, and forced me to find another contractor. I would not hire JC Construction and Pole Barns again under any circumstances.
