This Banfield is ok…read more I appreciate that the veterinarians are very attentive, don't rush me through conversations, address needs and concerns, are great educators, are organized in the way they speak to me and anticipate concerns/preferences (pricing, convenience, etc.). BUT that was a couple years ago. Currently they operate like a drop-off mechanic where you don't talk to the provider caring for your pet and the one time I spoke with a vet, they rushed me off the phone. Dealing with the staff that does the administrative work (I.e. answers the phones, provides logistical instructions) is annoying and it makes what could be a great experience, something I dread every time I go to this Banfield. They're not rude, mean, or condescending, but dealing with them is a headache. They aren't mindful of the patient experience, telling me to wait outside and saying "someone will be right with you" when the opposite happens and you're waiting outside when it's 20 degrees Fahrenheit and windy. I'd say when I call during business hours, the times someone actually picks up the phone is 1 in 7. Additionally they encourage illegal parking in the fire lane, when it isn't necessary and there is plenty of parking in the parking lot. Services are provided, but don't expect to explain your pets problems or talk to anyone about your pet. I will no longer be going to this Banfield

I read the other reviews bc I was surprised to see poor ratings…read more Not only did I not find any fault with the staff at Banfield, I found them to be very sympathetic. Fortunately, our beloved cat never required vet services, so I can't speak to that; she passed peacefully at home, next to me. In fact, I was worried they might think we were not good pet parents bc I found our cat weak/paralyzed on the bathroom floor at about 1 AM, lying in a puddle of her urine "asking" me for help when I walked in. I didn't wipe her down as I ordinarily would have bc it was clear that was not what she needed - she needed comforting more than anything else. Also, my spouse had tried to offer her some tuna (which we did not typically feed her, but of course it always tempted her); she tried to eat but was too weak, so our cat's remains went there smelling a bit pungent though I tried cleaning her after she had passed. And of course she had wasted away in her old age (twenty-one-and-a-half-years-old), so my only concern at that point was what they might think of us. Again, they were very sympathetic and kind, and also respectful. The only time I sensed just a hint of frustration on their part was when I first called to inquire about their services when it became clear our cat was about to leave us, but that can be chalked up to a busy day. As soon as I mentioned the reason I was calling, I was met with nothing but sensitivity. I saw it mentioned in another review that the attitude at Banfield seemed to change after covid; that's everywhere. That whole situation threw a lot of businesses and people in the gutter, and everyone was pressed, and many of us are STILL pressed. For example, we were in WDW of all places around that time, and the cast members who are normally tasked with being consistently patient and chipper, to the point of being annoying, were nasty or just plain old unfriendly. One cast member even CURSED because we had a gift card and they "hate running gift cards". How dare we try and spend our money with them? All visitors were getting yelled at by staff everywhere. We were forced to wear thick masks in the September humidity. You want to talk about covid being dangerous? Us visitors almost all passed away due to suffocation. So, I mean, A LOT of people have lost their minds bc of that whole covid episode that's still being milked, and we're ALL still trying to recover. This is due to politics and the effect they have on people, their freedoms, and their livelihoods being messed with, and NOT necessarily businesses themselves. Many businesses are STILL understaffed, and what little staff they have can be curt. I've dealt with several horrifically rude cashiers and staff members at many places since 2020. How would YOU feel if you had to do the work of 3 people now? Maybe think about who's pulling the strings and pushing all of us around like hockey pucks instead of how customer service has gone down hill? Maybe you actually DO know how that feels bc you're one of the people doing the work of many, but didn't think about how this also applies to everyone else as well. But I digress. Where was I? Oh yes, our beloved cat who has sadly passed... The job was well-done. We received a paw print (though I genuinely don't know what to do with it bc it's soft. I guess I can maybe shellac it? I thought I might hang it on the Christmas tree), a nice cherry-stained box with her cremains inside, a pretty burgundy dust bag with a gold-embroidered sentiment, a name plate, a vile of her fur, the cremains cert., and a sympathy card that was personalized with messages of condolences by the staff. Yes, I understand that the staff is most likely mandated to sign these but it's still a nice touch. They always made sure to mention they were very sorry for our loss, though they didn't need to be. Our cat lived a very long, happy and healthy life. She was going to walk this earth one way or the other, and then pass away from it, and she got to do that with us. There is a void, but as saddened as we are by her absence, we were prepared for it seeing as how she was about, oh, I don't know - 110 in "human years"? She received nothing but affection her entire life. So my experience w/Banfield in Warminster was more than fair. I'm also disinterested in discussing anyone else's take on covid.

If you need reproduction services - use another vet. I brought my female Shepherd, Bay, in for rads…read morefor her litter. I made it abundantly clear when scheduling that I would need to be given Oxytocin in the event of complications which I was told 'of course, no problem!'. I took her on February 9th, received her radiographs and was then made to wait about 25 minutes where they could 'see about the prescription'. Once I was given it, I went through Chewy to order it (on February 9th) and staff neglected to approve the request for two entire days full well knowing Bay was due on Friday, February 13th and I stressed it's importance. I made phone calls, sent texts and was told a doctor would get back to me. I then was told it was my responsibility to upload the script to Chewy (which I couldn't find anyway) - which I then contacted Chewy and was told that was incorrect and they had been waiting for my vet approval this entire time, Chewy even called them and received no response. Regardless if I had the script or not, it was not my responsibility and the office did not prioritize my pregnant dog nor her puppies. I eventually was contacted on February 11th around 4pm by the practice manager who told me her staff did not feel comfortable prescribing the medication anymore after I spent $400 on the vet visit and now wasted two days. Fast forward February 12th - Bay goes into labor and as I expected, needs assistance from the drug; but I do not have it because Doylestown Vet had my hands tied and denied my dog the care she needed for a successful labor. I make an emergency trip to the ER (an additional $900 expense) she delivers 3 deceased puppies and 3 living puppies. We head home and now her labor is stalled again and the ER asked me to use the Oxytocin my vet should have responsibility prescribed me as standard repro practice. But here I am, unprepared because Doylestown chose ignorance over the reality of whelping puppies. I understand vet school and ethics, but if you care for some field experience, there's a big reality check here at my house because of your lack of concern for myself, my dog and her puppies. Shame on you for putting me in this position, stalling to tell me you had a change of mind about my dog's care, and then running down the clock so I had limited options on how to proceed finding her the care she needed. Edited to add, we are now a week out from Bay's delivery and I have had zero follow up from this practice. Ethics? I don't think so.

Based upon the booking screening, it was clear that the company is professional, well-run, and focused. They provide transportation for your pet to and from their boarding stay and even provide daily pictures of your pet via text. We were very happy with the arrangements until, in the middle of our vacation, we were told that our dog had an episode of weakness and was rushed to our vet whose information we provided at booking. Andrew stayed with our pet and transported him to the overnight Emergency vet for observation. Everything turned out fine and Andrew picked up our pet to finish his stay. Andrew went out of his way and not only did everything for our pet that we could have done, but he also kept us informed and comforted. The integrity, compassion, and dedication that PetsAreInn demonstrated during our time of deep concern helped us greatly and made us happy we chose a stay with a family in their home versus in a traditional pet kennel.
