I grew up with my uncle who was a vet, back in the 60,70,80s . It was a 'hometown' vet office. Back when a doc would spend more than five minutes with you! Warminster Veterinary is like being back in a 'family vet office' again! We have a concerning issue with our dog. Doc Jones spent a good twenty or so mins with us. She was extremely thorough. She explained things to me in great detail. She seems so into being an animal doc! You can tell she loves what she's doing. I have complete confidence in her to treat our puppy! Dr. May and his team are absolutely amazing!!! My parents dog, Lola, who is also our dog and he has been treating her since a puppy (she's almost 13)!! Well she needed emergency surgery, had a 50/50 shot to pull through, and he did it for more than a half the cost! He truly went above and beyond to save our girl!! We are forever grateful and thankful to Dr. May!!! Thank you fir giving us more time with our sweet, sweet girl!!! The vets themselves are great; however, the rest of the staff is unpredictable. The office hours are terrible and there is no answering machine to leave a message or get instructions in case of emergency. I've been coming here for years and am now going elsewhere. So sad. read more

Dr May is the ONLY RESSON WE GO HERE. There are two other vets. One is ok but and the third one is terrible. The staff is nice one day then rude the next or rude one minute then the next minute cordial. It is the same when calling.We can't figure them out. Their hours are strange and even when you call them during those hours, many times the phone is NO answered AND THEIR MESSAGE MACHINE DOES NOT TAKE MESSAGES. AS I Said, If Dr. May were not the vet we would not take our pets there. Lastly on the machine, they give you a name of an emergency hospital we never heard OF AND NO ADDRESS. read more

Warminster Veterinarian are very honest, pet visits are affordable and pet meds are only $5 to $10 copays they do not charge you any extra fees or a fee to package you meds thats awesome In chalfont my old vet would charge me a fee just to get up and get my pets meds Warminster veternarian does not do that give them a call and I'm sure you will see a huge price difference read more

we used this vet for many years but now it is horrible the staff is rude when you want your dog checked for a illness they rude staff tells you to go to the urgent care for treatment they have very limited hours and they also say sorry we are booked and she can not be see. good riddance glad we found a more caring office. read more

I am so disappointed in Warminster Vet on York rd. I've used them for the last 13 years and now my 13 1/2 year old dog is at the end of his life and I needed their support and I feel like I got nothing but being brushed off . I guess because their hours on Fridays are only 9 AM to 11AM. Not compassionate at all . I thought after 13 years I should have been treated with empathy even if they had to make an adjustment in their short schedule ! I got more compassion from other veterinarian offices in the local area when I needed help with my elderly dog! Such a disgrace ! read more

These vets and their staff are so caring and compassionate. We brought our dog here for several years and always got excellent and prompt care. Then our dog got diagnosed with cancer. They were realistic in their recommendations and her prognosis, while making sure she was comfortable. Dr. Jones always took time to answer my questions and was so kind to our family. They are not out to make a lot of money but genuinely care for the animals and their people. read more

I know Dr. May for a very long time. He has cared for generations of my pugs. He is the smartest animal doctor I have ever met in my adult life. He not only knows the day to day stuff you want in a vet, Dr. May can think out of the box and he is amazing. His staff is friendly and caring and I think this is a five star vet hospital. We have dogs, ferrets, bearded dragons, snakes, rats, fish and a lot of other animals. Suffice to say we love our animals. In the last 10 years I have used three different vets locally, at least 3 other vets previous to that, and Dr May's practice has been by far and away the best. It is apparent that he is in this for the love of the animals and not the money. I would highly recommend this practice over anybody. On my last visit, an emergency for my golden retriever, a new veterinarian met me an hour after their closing time to help me with her. I couldn't believe the amount of care I received from her, not to mention the amount I had to pay (I know she cut me a break). It is very refreshing when you can trust a business to help you with your problems. I've read the other reviews although I struggled to understand a few of them, and I have to say the two negative reviews do not sound like the Warminster Veterinary Hospital I know. I guess everybody can have a bad day, or have a misunderstanding, but I always believed that when you find the right (human) Doctor you stick with them. It's the same with the doggie doctors too. This morning my bullmastiff had an appointment to see the dr there because at vsec we were told she needed surgery. I wasn't looking for a second opinion, I went to Warminster Vet in search of a surgeon that was compassionate & caring. I must say just during the exam the dr went above & beyond. He didn't seem to be bothered that my dog wanted his undivided attention. He was hugging & kissing my Khloe like he was her own pet. It was only our first visit & I absolutely loved it, so did my Khloe. The dr also said after what happened at vsec he was not going to charge me for today's exam because he understands I just want to get my Khloe taken care of. I highly recommend taking your pets to Warminster Vet, they are so loving & compassionate...with them it's not about how much they can get out of your bank account, with them they just want to help you care for your pet. What I mean about being old fashion is...they give you and your dog, their undivided attention. I never feel rushed! I am still traumatized by the fact that the tech at Warminster Veterinary Hospital clipped my dog's nails and as my dog cried out tech cut the nerves off. My dog's paws bleed all over and tech forced my dog to continue proceedure. This facility is inexpensive for a reason they do not know what they are doing. I will have nightmares after I found out from a reputable vet that you never cut the nerves when cutting dogs nails! I SAY STAY AWAY! read more

My entire family takes all or animals here. They don't have excellent hours or an on call staff though. Recently my dog had a procedure and ripped her stitches out on a Friday night. Since Warminster was closed for some reason we spent another90 dollars out of pocket somewhere else. but as soon as Warminster opened we took my doggie in for a follow Up and Dr. may actually agreed to redo the entire procedure immediately at no expense, and this included having her have to be anesthetized. There have between some new vets there that aren't as thorough, but Dr. may and all the assistants get 5 stars. read more

I don't think this Vet is very good. They give you a print out signed receipt.. They don't have computers? The don't give you a printout of what was done what tests vaccines and what is due. And I ordered heartgard online for my dad's dog. They still have not called the online place back verifying prescription. They are not that busy. read more

When my female cat had a stroke, I was terrified. Dr. May explained everything, was very fair, and started her on some treatment. I didn't expect her to survive. To my surprise, two weeks later, she was climbing the stairs, (a bit slower), but she could eat, and use the litter box. Add to all of this, I was facing surgery in a few days. Mid 1980s my family started with this vet/ending 12/2012. Easy to say, spending close to $10,000.00. When shot time-7 animals getting shots in 1month,everything from good news to bad. I never thought of them as the Best not the worst until the 1st wk of April. When calling about Sat Hrs(it was 1045am)closing at 11am- I was placed on hold for 4mins while the help checked for my records. My Cat, sudden sever problem-prompting the call, the help tells me I live to far from them(not 3 miles) would not be there before CLOSING @ 11am Saturday, was also rudely told to go to Levittown(40min ride at least on a Saturday). I asked are you kidding me, her reply"Well I don't know where you live"....I guess she didn't really look my family name up in the records or she would have known my address. What a Self-Centered, Poor Excuse for for what one would think to be a Caring, Concerned for Life, Quality of life........just a very sad display of Customer Service. However the BEST DISPLAY I have ever experienced of "CLOSING TIME", hurry up Eleven o'clock. I would never own a pet again if I had to deal with that type of business and the Representative of same business because that person showed no concern for animal live or even the slightest compassion for an animal who was in need of medical help.
