They also handle our "special needs" Westie with TLC. She always looks very good, happy plus she's 14 yrs old with health problems, and she's blind. They do a great job with her and when we pick her up she seems very happy - not stressed at all. Prices are a bit higher than we were use to.

New Vet for my New Puppy 6 months old - vet appeared to afraid of him, he is very shy and was…read morescared. She did not even do a proper exam. Got a heart rate and thats it. So much for the free exam from the Human Society. They offer "Happy Visits" for the animals to get comfortable with coming into the vets office. I have never had a dog that was this uncomfortable or scared to come into a building before. We went a 2nd time and again a horrible experience there was NOTHING HAPPY about it. I called 3 days ahead of time to see if I needed an appt. to get another heartworm pill and weight check was told no just come in so I did early was told it she would be with me shortly 1.5 hours later we got a weight - then waited again and then got told no vet tech to approve the pill so they would text me when I could come get it - Never got that text or a call 4 days later called - put me on hold for 10 minutes and said we like you to have an appt. and blew the hole thing off. Horrible I would never go back! I was told that Management would call me to discuss - never heard back - calling the Human Society dont pay them they did nothing!

Between taking care of my grandma, my mom, and a new puppy, I was overwhelmed. I started sending Oliver to Lake Country Dog to give him some attention and to give me a bit of a break while I tended to the other people in my life. He loves going to "school" so much, that I can't say that word in front of him without him getting excited. I know that when he's there, he is loved and well cared for. My mom has been out of treatment for a year, and my grandmother passed away last August, so I don't have a need to send Oliver to Lake Country Dog for daycare. But he loves it so much, that I still send him once a week!! Natasha also grooms him, and always does a great job. One time, he even fell asleep while being groomed. I highly recommend Lake Country Dog.

***Richfield location******…read more For context, this is the first review I've ever done. After the incident we experienced, I felt it necessary to inform others of our experience. We were loyal customers of Charming Paws for over 5 years, for both boarding and daycare. After last night, that relationship is over. When I arrived to pick up my dogs from daycare, it took staff an unusually long time to bring them out. When my golden retriever was finally returned to me, there was blood covering all of his lower legs. I was told, "He was just in a crate for 10 minutes." That explanation does not match the condition he was in. Every single nail was cracked and bleeding. This does not happen in 10 minutes. He was so distressed when we got home that we had to sedate him and bathe him to clean the blood off. He is still not acting like himself. We brought our dogs here for safe socialization and stimulation. Instead, our dog left injured, traumatized, and covered in blood. We were given no clear explanation and were met with cold, dismissive behavior from staff. When bringing this issue to management, staff had drastically downplayed the situation to her- stating "he may have cracked a nail." Response from the manager was prompt, but lacked true explanation of the incident. The truth is that our dog was locked in a crate for an extensive amount of time--so long that every nail is cracked. He was under emotional distress for so long that his bark is gone. Ironically, there are cameras, but none pointed where he was. I understand that places become short staffed, staff get overwhelmed, etc. We will not be returning, in fact, we will discourage others within the community to seek alternative options as well. Beware of falsified pre-generated report cards that show inaccurate information-- they are misinforming you of what actually happens after your dog gets their picture taken for the day. If you value your pet's safety and well-being, I strongly urge you to reconsider bringing them here. We will not be returning. 0/5 stars wasn't an option

I called and left two messages (which is the ONLY way you can schedule appointments or get much information other than walking in) and neither call was returned. Stuff happens, messages get lost, so I decided to walk in and did not get a warm reception at all. I'm assuming it was the owner in the middle of grooming and she asked what she could do for me in what seems to be a clearly irritated tone. I explained I had left two messages and hadn't heard back (to which you would think you might get an apology or explanation but got nothing except a further irritated expression.). I asked pricing, availability and how best to schedule appointments. She answered $75, which is around double nearly anyone else I've ever talked to or gone to. I asked if she does much grooming on many doodles (as I have had several groomers 'poodle' my doodle, which is why I am so particular about groomers and will pay more for one who knows the true 'doodle' cut .) I think she actually rolled her eyes and said yes, she has been doing lots of mixed breeds for years. The demeanor, way she answered and less than warm first impression turned me off very much. We are new to town and have owned small businesses in small towns and word of mouth can be your best friend or your worst enemy, and while we all have off days I was less than impressed from this interaction...especially compared to all the other local businesses we have been fortunate enough to interact with who are warm, friendly and eager to help. Also, we choose to give our business to companies who adapt to changing times and busy lives. I go to a groomer because I am too busy to groom my own dogs, work full time and can not call during business hours during the work week to schedule appointments. We look for businesses that have scheduling online or even via email or Facebook. This business does not nor did they return a call from my two phone calls and messages I left. Needless to say, we will NOT be bringing our dogs there nor recommending this business based on this.

Care is taken to find out just what you are wanting done at drop off so there are no surprises. Dogs are happy and squeaky clean when you pick them up. And prices are low for grooming and nail trims compared to the big name stores. It is so nice to have the Silver Leash and worth the half hour drive for me to have my guys groomed so well. Plus there are fun dog treats and chewies and toys in the shop for a post grooming treat.

I also did not ever like the fact that after grooming the dogs were put in kennels. at Papmered Pup, you walk into a peaceful building with the groomers waiting and ready. Usually when I drop off, we are the only clients. It is so refreshing and calming for my dogs. When they are finished, they let them play with their toys they provide while waiting. They're amazing and also give great haircuts!
