I drove 40 minutes to take my dog here for grooming. It was worth every minute. The staff is friendly and Buddy looked great when I came to pick him up. Buddy is a border collie with long hair that easily mats. It takes a long time to properly groom him, removing all the mats and dead hair, not to mention trimming his feet both hair and nails. My only complaint was the shampoo they used smelled to perfumey for my taste, but that will wear off. His excellent grooming will last a long time. I posted some pictures because you can see what a well kept place this is. I have not boarded Buddy here, but it definitely looks like a great place to board a pet.

    The bruise on her stomach

*update* finally got a call back from the owner & no one could tell me how or why my dog was hurt. All I was told was that she didn't have any incidents during group play. First off, I didn't ask for group play. Secondly, the owner even mentioned & I quote "the group Saturday was a rough group". So why would you have an eight year old yorkie in a "rough group" to begin with?! I will never bring my dog back there. There's no accountability, and no concern for the dogs well being. Took my dog here for boarding thurs-mon, included the play time with the other dogs. Picked her up today & my dog was completely not herself. After looking at her & giving her some attention I noticed a bite inside her ear with dried up blood & a huge bruise on her stomach that is swollen. No one let me know of any incidents that occurred & my dog was returned without her shirt on so it would have been visible to the employees

Dirty and unsanitary. Overpriced for what you get. Not sure what happened but this place really went downhill.

A Lifesaver in a Time of Crisis…read more After experiencing a house fire, our family was faced with the overwhelming task of finding a safe and loving place for our two cats while we rebuilt. That's when Mel at Tiny Tails Lodge came to our rescue. For six months, our cats were in her care, and throughout that time, she treated them with incredible kindness and attention. Knowing that our pets were safe and well cared for gave our entire family--especially our children--peace of mind during an incredibly stressful time. Mel's dedication and love for animals were evident in every update and interaction we had with her. Now that our cats are back home, they have adjusted beautifully, and we know this is because of the stability and care they received while with Mel. We cannot thank Tiny Tails Lodge enough for being there when we needed them most. If you're looking for a place where your pets will be truly loved and cared for, this is it. Highly recommend!

She sent me pictures of my furry buddy every day. When I go on trips, I know Loggins has an even better time than I did. She limits the number of animals she keeps there, and they get so much individual attention! They have so much room I almost feel bad for the home he returns to when he gets home. You will not regret keeping your animal at Tiny Tails Lodge where Mel somehow is able to love your pet as much as you do!

I chose Pleasant Valley Vet years ago simply because my mom and pops have always brought their dogs…read morethere and said that they like Dr. Bougie. This is a good example of why we should listen to the wisdom of our elders. The first dog that I had (as an adult) came to me with a seizure disorder. When Dr. Bougie met her and looked at her prescription she immediately had concerns about my dog's well-being. Apparently, the vet that her former owner had used had put the dog on the dosage for a 60 pound dog (when she weighed less than 15.) Unfortunately, this opened my dog up to all kinds of problems including possible liver damage. Dr. Bougie did the necessary tests to ensure that our little pooch was okay, worked with us to establish a new medication routine and helped me deal with the inevitable seizures that came with the medication changes. When we got a new puppy, that had received none of her shots, Dr. Bougie did the exam, gave her the appropriate shots, tested her poop and spent fifteen or twenty minutes just going through what to expect from your puppy. She very obviously wanted us to have a successful experience training our new pup and was willing to take the time to give us advice. (BTW: Puppy is still a baby, but training is great so far!) The staff at Pleasant Valley is super friendly and have fantastic memories for pets' names. They always take care of us well, whether we are at the office or just calling in a prescription. The only issue I have ever had with staff was my experience with the substitute veterinarian. She basically talked down to me and made me terrified that my dog was going to slip into a coma during one of her seizures. I am sure that she was just trying to emphasize the serious nature of seizures, but she had absolutely no people skills and literally treated me as if I were effing Paris Hilton tossing my dog into my purse and heading to the disco (or where ever it is kids go these days.) Pleasant Valley basically loses one star because they allow this vet to sub. She really does not reflect the normal friendly attitude of the staff. I did let the staff know about my experience with her and they know to only schedule appointments for my pooches while Dr. Bougie is there. The facilities are nothing fancy, but everything is kept pretty clean. You usually see a few cats who live at the office wandering around and sometimes a staff member's dog will be behind the desk. So.... if you don't like animals, this may not be the veterinarian office for you! If making an appointment with Pleasant Valley, I would highly encourage you to ask to see Dr. Bougie to get the best care for your furry friend!
