Neither location was convenient for me, but the service is so outstanding that I would follow them anywhere! First off, the groomers who work here are very gentle with my dog. They are aware that she is fragile and yet strong willed. They treat her with love and report any medical concerns they observe. I have peace of mind in dropping her off. They are also aware that I don't want to have her there longer than needed (because grooming is inherently stressful) and they communicate with me so that I'm aware of how busy they are on a given day so I can decide to bring my dog in earlier or later. It appears that Clarissa is in charge of overall management. She and all of the groomers are wonderful! Second, they do a great job of grooming my dog and always ask if I want them to do anything differently each time. I couldn't be happier with this business and highly recommend it. By the way, there is easy parking behind the building.

When I went in to pick him up, I asked how he was they said he was a hand full and they had to use two groomers on him so they would have to charge me more. They said every spot they touched, he squealed. They said if I bring him back and he behaves better it would be less. I paid 83.00 tip included. I can't imagine how our poor baby boy felt. The little guy is hard of hearing and his vision is bad.I feel bad just leaving him there. He was all curled in a ball in the cage and when I mentioned it she laughed and said he wore himself. The facility was built with dogs in mind...before it was A Walk In The Park, the building was the home of the Toledo Area Humane Society. The building is more than large enough, and the yard is even bigger. The staff is awesome...just plain awesome. You can tell that every single person working here really loves dogs, and the dogs, at least my dog, seems to love all of them. We recently left our puppy here when we weren't able to take him with us on vacation. My wife, who still does Facebook (LOL), logged in daily to see videos and pix of the pack including our boy, so she and the kids (and me too, I guess) felt connected. When we got home and went to pick him up, he was happy to see all four of us, but he didn't want to leave...I guess dogs really are pack animals. We also utilize doggie daycare a couple time per week. As far as pet safety goes, and I might not have this exactly right, but I think the dogs are grouped by age and size. That is, the large breed puppies are kept together, and the small breed puppies are keep together. The large breed adults are kept together...etc. In other words, you don't have to worry about your chihuahua pup getting eaten by a Doberman. Great business, and great location. Five stars.

He is VERY nervous around water, perhaps from a negative experience in his previous home. I explained his situation to them when I arrived, being that he will try to jump out of the bath, and having a bad leg, they needed to be cautious. The front desk guy was VERY kind, and listened to all I had to say. When I pick my Great Dane up, he was so happy! He smelled great and was all about the gal who brought him out! She said he was great and even got a treat afterward. My Dane took a liking to one of the other guys there, which tells me that they treated him very well. I wish I knew the girls name who brought him out and cashed me out because she did an excellent job in explaining how this visit went! I will definitely be returning to Pampered Paws!

I brought in my elderly small-breed dog for grooming. While I understand that senior dogs can be more challenging to work with, I would expect a professional groomer to either work within those limitations or contact the owner if they are unable to safely complete the service. Instead, the grooming was completed poorly, and the condition my dog returned home in is far more concerning. Since her appointment, my dog has been sleeping significantly more than normal, appears to be experiencing pain in areas where she has never shown discomfort before, and flinches or yelps when we attempt to pick her up. Nearly five days later, these issues are still present. As a pet owner, it is extremely upsetting to see such a dramatic change in her behavior and comfort level following a grooming appointment. Beyond my concerns about her physical condition, the grooming itself was far below the standard I would expect. If the staff felt they could not safely or properly groom an elderly dog, I would have completely understood being told so in advance. Instead, I was left with a poor grooming result and serious concerns about my dog's well-being. This experience has completely changed my opinion of this business. I cannot recommend Pampered Paws based on this visit, and I will not be returning.

They asked that I hang around since it was here first time there. All in all, it took around two hours, so I got a chance to interact with the staff. They did a very thorough job on all of the animals. It's a bustling place and there seems to be a lot of regulars there. I should mention that they also offer kenneling, with of a capacity of 100 dogs.
