Great customer service and clean store with grooming. Selection at the store was great they had everything I needed and one add-on item I couldn't get in store in my hometown. Parking was a little tight but all in all I was able to go in get help and leave with my purchases in about 5 minutes. No complaints! read more

My favorite pet store offering great selection, quality merchandise, excellent customer service, all in a pleasant and clean atmosphere. The convenient location is also a plus. I've come here for the past two months getting food, litter supplies, toys, treats, and a new collar and tag for my fur baby. I've always been extremely pleased with the convenience, choices, and ease of shopping. I have visited pet express and Petsmart and choose to return to this lovely Petco. My baby deserves the best! read more

Yes I always go to pet I as my go to! They are really good with customer service .. I've gotten a few fish from there that killed my whole tank I mean but u can get that anywhere ... workers seem to be knowledgeable maybe too knowledgeable where they talk u out of buying something... all of the other fish stores right now are closed but exotic just opened back up I will be going there for now on! I can't say I ever had to wait long ! I do recommend going here for any of your pets needs .. got a cute collar for my kitty ! read more

Never had I been to this Petco before today! It's small but they had the dog food I needed for my yellow Labrador! The staff member who checked me out was nice! He also scanned a $10 in store coupon for me to save me some money! read more

I ordered my purchases online. Dog Sleigh bed and poop holiday bags. All 50% off for there black Friday sale. The sale started the day before thanksgiving. This was the closest location that had the sleigh in stock. It is not the closest one to my house, but it was my best option. In addition this item didn't ship according to my computer. The day it was ready to pick up, via an email notice I drove over. There was no close parking so I parked in a spot the closest I could find. Due to the shopping center was packed, I choose curbside service. I called and they said to drive up. I told them that there was no spots on there curb that wasn't red and said fire zone. They said it was fine. Since I didn't have a choice I drove back up and the young man came right out and dropped it in my window. The worker was nice enough and only doing what he was told... But they need to come up with a better option then to offer curb side when there isn't a curb one is legally allowed to pull up to. They need to halt all curbside pick up at this location till they can come with a safer option. I would hate to be the one who interfered with a firetruck's business. Maybe they can work it out with the shopping center to let them cone off 2 spaces. read more

I see lots of comments about great customer service, but mine was terrible. I asked for Live Clear for cats, and the salesperson acted like she had never heard of it and had no interest in helping me find it. She said, "These are the only Purina products we have. You'll have to go to a bigger store." She didn't double-check, or offer an alternative product, or tell me where to find the "bigger store." No help at all. read more

My Review on google was removed by the owner of the store if i had to guess. It was only explaining that the dog trainer Natalie was very horrible, aggressive, rude, during all of our courses. She was always very EXTRA loud and would tend to say very uncomfortable comments that were not need to be said. I suppose for as long as she has been there and i see similar bad reviews on neighbor apps due to her lack of training skills that her and the owner of the store are close. She then blames it on her " autism " which i think is unprofessional in the 1st place to blame. Don't Believe me? Ask for Natalie and just see how much you will just waist your money. Its all Bull crap, shes a stoner who says she has been training dogs all her life. 7+ Months now my Golden is with a new trainer and Man! I've gotten more results with our 1st month then when i was with Natalie.. Plus Natalie pushes to hard for making your dog a service dog. She said her dog was trained, brought him in to train with us and her dog didn't do anything she said. Then when her dog snapped at mine she had the audacity to blame us. She even made up lies about a Veteran who came in for training and got him kicked out of our class, all because she didn't wanna own up to her own mistakes and blamed the customer. Find Better For YOUR Fur-baby! Natalie is trash! read more

Polite staff and great service, however this location is for dogs and cats. If you are looking for stuff for reptiles and/or aquatic critters they will either have a limited selection of items or nothing at all. For me this was the closest pet store, but looks like I will still have to travel to Elk Grove to get food and water conditioner for my turtles. read more

First day of doggie training and let me tell you... I think the class was more for me hahaha.. Ryan the dog trainer was awesome and we cannot wait for next week. My fur baby Mila loved it and she was totally listening and having so much fun! Thank you Ryan! Cannot wait for the weeks to follow. If your pup needs training hurry and sign them up now. :) Ryan you were awesome. Thank you! read more

This is a smaller store with a pretty good selection of basic and popular toys, food, and accessories. The location is super convenient. However, there always seems to be a lack of employees in the store. I came in on Wednesday, January 27 at noon, had to walk around the store to look for an employee to ring up my items, there were no employees on the floor so I ended up just waiting at the counter for about 5 minutes. When an employee walked up there was no "sorry about the wait" or "thanks for your patience." I thought that was pretty unprofessional. Whenever I've been to this store it seems like there's usually only one employee. So if someone else needs help you end up just having to wait at the counter until the employee can ring you up. It's just a little inconvenient and I wish they had more/better customer service. read more

Lots of stuff, and they help try to be helpful, but multiple problems. This is about the Greenhaven Pocket store near the Rt 5 on-ramp on Florin just inside the Pocket, near the Nugget. Used to go here a few years ago, and then switched to Incredible Pets and am very happy there. I found I had one of those plastic litter containers Petco makes you buy before they will sell you bulk litter, so I thought I'd stop by and get some litter, and see if there were any cat food deals. I found about a half dozen canned cat food cans on close-out, and tried checking out. They tried repeatedly to charge me the regular prices, not the ones on the sign in front of the cans a few feet away. Each time, once I had protested, the checkout girl had to summon the manager to do high security over-rides so that I could purchase it for the advertised price. They thanked me for my patience, but I found out they kept overcharging for their sales merchandise until you "caught" them on the same merchandise on another visit. They wouldn't or couldn't change the scanned price in their inventory. Suddenly I remembered this same thing happening a couple of years ago. It may be corporate process or poor inventory control, but it sure does add $5 to the tab if you don't watch them like hawks. Too bad, nice clean store, and they try very hard to greet you. But the whole welcoming process is very scripted (they don't listen to your questions very well before they go into their pre-programmed sales dialogs or qualifying questions), and I guess this is just the kind of hyper-programmed for profit operation that makes me prefer the non-chain stores, or Chewy or whatever if I want to mail order. Just one man's opinion, if you go there I hope you fare better, but I won't be back soon. I don't fault the employees who try hard, I fault the chain and their processes. read more

Excellent service and friendly staff! These are hard things to come by with nationwide chains. Pauline was so helpful when we first got our rescue dog, got all her startup supplies ready to go, and signed us up for the Pals Rewards program. She introduced us to Petco's Wholehearted dog food that's grain-free and affordable. I had another great experience with her the next time I was at the store. Brian was also very helpful when I was signing my dog up for a training class. I don't know the other staff members by name, but everyone seems to work well as a great team! You don't feel like you're one of the masses here. I haven't tried, but they will price match to lots of competitors and they have nice promotions on occasion if you check your inbox. read more

Been coming here off and on for years now. I work in Greenhaven and this is just down the street which makes a nice quick stop after work if I need food or anything. This locations is definitely boutique-like the variety of products is limited compared to other locations which is probably the only real downside to this store. I wish they carried some more stuff for my fish and tortoise but eh it's not dire. When I first got my cat they had an INCREDIBLE Clearance section of canned foods for me to try I literally got months worth for $30 (hasn't happened since but I'm waiting guys;) ). They don't preach to their customers or have sales pitches about grain free diets (which I love because those are not healthy for your pup anyway) I feel AT EASE shopping here (this location only) vs ANY petsmart. The employees are super friendly, I never need help because I always know exactly what I need but they're always there to help if needed. Tlocation is always clean and well organized! I haven't seen many pets being brought in but the ones I've seen have all been well mannered, well controlled. Great location overall keep up the good work! read more

I had never heard about Unleashed but I had to check it out since I was in the area. It was a smaller version of a regular PETCO however this was had a large variety of organic/specialty products and feed. I was actually surprised. We browsed and noticed the awesome manager specials. I mean how cool is this... Organix brand Organic Dog Cookies normally sell for $9.99 were on a manager special for get this $1.50 and if you bought 3 you got the 4th free. WHAT A DEAL! of course I am sure that is a limited time sale that I found but it was great to find this on our first visit. This store is for you if you are looking for organic, all natural dog food products. For the cat lovers, they also have plenty of things even a bulk cat litter area. read more

They let me returned a USED litterbox!! 5 stars!!! When my automatic Littermaid litterbox suddenly died after a month of use, I called Unleashed to ask what I should do. I figured they would tell me to deal with the manufacturer, but instead they had me bring it in to exchange it for a new one. I had thrown the original box away but they didn't mind. I ended up wrapping the dirty litterbox in plastic garbage bags and putting it in my trunk. When I arrived at Unleashed with my filthy package the manager that I spoke with wasn't there. Instead I dealt with a somewhat reluctant employee. It's also worth mentioning that I had no receipt for this transaction, but I do have a PALS card that tracks all purchases. The manager told me on the phone they could use that info to retrieve my receipt. When I was actually at the store, dealing with the employee, she seemed like she wanted to turn me away for not having a receipt, so I was glad that the manager had told me about utilizing PALS for the info. read more

Really great customer service. I had just adopted a new dog and needed everything from leash to bed. The staff helped me pick out a crate, proper food for small dogs and much more. They also gave me a huge discount for adopting which really helped. I have been to other pet stores since and the staff is never helpful and can't answer basic questions. Here they go out of the way to see if you need help and if they don't know the answer they find someone who does. I got some dog booties at petco on Arden and I was able to return them here and they made it really convenient. read more

I had to come on and give the best yelp possible to for an employee at unleashed. Her name is SANDRA. She was so incredibly patient and knowledgable. She spent about 30-40 minutes with me discussing all the "need to know" information about having a puppy. We went to the store immediately after receiving a puppy on the way home to get all the necessary items for her. This is my first dog I have ever had so naturally I knew nothing. She took the time to explain the different food types, beds, kettles, potty training methods, leashes, collars, shots, training classes and the do's and don'ts. I really appreciated all her time she invested in us knowing that she didn't need to. She truly went about and beyond in making sure we were happy and confident. Thank you Ms. Sandra read more

We came in to look for a replacement bed for our dog. The one we previously had we bought at Sam's club for approximately $35 bucks. Unleashed sold the exact same one for $79.99. Wow... Just couldn't do it. Even though it was out of the way, we had to make a trip to Sam's. Other than that... staff were very helpful and knowledgable. It's a good local place to get something, just know that prices are a little steep. read more

I love this location! I bring my dog here quite often especially to check out what new treats they have stocked up. I have also taken a basic training class here through the instructor which was great. The trainer was very knowledgeable and was able to help us through breaking the bad behaviors. I admit sometimes I come here to see if Frolic (the current dog being trained as a guide dog) is around. I love seeing her cute face and see how far she's come. The prices are pretty much on par with the rest of the market. So it's nice having a place I can run out to in an emergency. Front Street Animal Shelter also has some events here and I love being able to meet some of the dogs from the shelter. read more

I can't really judge on the items at this Petco and compare them to other Petco's. This one is much smaller since the size of the unit restricts the store from being any bigger. The shelves and aisles seem pretty cramp and sometimes it feels like if you're not careful enough, you're going to bump into something and make a huge mess. I went to this store because I was interested in getting my Labrador retriever puppy trained before it hit the first early puberty and become supersized. The trainer is always never there. In fact, the store staff told me to write my information down on a clipboard and that the trainer will get back to me later in the week... I've waited for two weeks and still no response. Staff here is okay. They will ask if you are looking for anything and if you say no, they will leave you alone and not be pushy about it. read more

The employees here are great. This is your basic pet food supply store. It carries everything you need for your dog, cat, fish, hamster and rabbit. Staff very friendly and knowledgable. They ordered a Thunder Shirt we needed from another store, picked it up and called for us to come get it. Easy return policy if you are unsatisfied with a product. Great trainer who has a special connection with each dog. Her patience and encouragement help us and the dogs completely understand her expectations. Maybe our furry friends will become obedient. They are making great strides. And they LOVE this store. The two excitedly "talk" when entering the parking lot. It's like taking kids to a candy shop. Great store. Great staff. Great teacher. read more

This is the largest selection of pet food in the pocket area of Sacramento. We have an itsy bitsy 3.8lb full grown Chihuahua named Ginger and since she doesn't eat much we have to buy her good quality food to get her nutrients in the small quantity of daily food. This location carries a wide variety of great quality dog foods for her and in an array of sizes. Our little one needs a toy breed size kibble and I can always find it here! Living in the pocket area it's often a chore to get certain items without driving way out of our area. This smaller version of a petco makes it so much easier to just run up the street and grab dog food or treats. The only thing I do not care for is the overall price of items. The whole store seems to be over priced, but no different than a large petco or their online store. The convenience of this store is the reason I'm willing to pay the price. The staff here has always been friendly, up beat, helpful and full of suggestions! read more

The service is great. The store is really pretty ,but everything is really expensive and it's not really a boutique , but they have boutique prices on some items . they do carry some basic items such as national brands of dog food and cat food....my favorite thing bout The place is their biscuit bar and my dog likes to pee on random isles and then I have to call someone to clean up the pee and put out the yellow cone. Conveniently located in the Lakecrest Shopping Center, Unleashed is a mini version of PETCO. Workers are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. I decided my unruly poodle Charles needed obedience classes but did not want to drive too far. So glad I found obedience classes at the Unleashed in the Pocket. Jan the instructor is no nonsense and got my boy in shape in no time. The lessons on Saturday mornings were perfect and came with and lots of good solid advice. Expensive! Usually, I would think chains would be cheaper than mom & pop stores but this Unleashed proves me wrong. Located in Lake Crest Village selling the pet essentials. I have been having the absolute hardest time since my dog got neutered, due his long snout and ridiculously smart brain, no cone has been able to stop him from licking his incision. I was feeling defeated and frustrated and willing to try a different size cone from a different brand as I felt I had no other option until a VERY helpful and friendly employee by the name Sai I believe, reassured me by telling me the cone may just not be best for my dog and educated me on the fact that i could instead opt for washable diapers they carry in store!! Alas a solution to my troubles! Five stars for Sai's customer service,I couldn't be more grateful for Sai's help as I would've never thought of this on my own, and i finally have a solution to my dogs issue, he is no longer able to lick. However for the product review itself, the hole for the dogs tail was very small,I have a husky, they have very thick fluffy tails,I'm lucky my dog lets me grab and manipulate it for so long but I know this could be a very big issue for other dogs. read more

Petco - Her new bed from Petco is a winner :) - Pet Stores Near Me - Sacramento, California

This plaza is quite nice, it's got the following: Nugget Market, Starbucks, L&L, Subway, RadioShack, Marshalls, Burger King, Big5, etc! Although, this isn't a review for the plaza as a whole, so i'll end it there in regards to what the entire lot offers. - - - - - - - - My kitten has been growing up and it's been a difficult time for me to say the least, soon enough the time will come for his 1st birthday. Now for the Petco store, I do believe it's a bit smaller for a Petco store that we would generally think of. Now, I've seen quite a selection at this location and believe it's done quite well in comparison to the much larger Petco stores. I bought a collar for my kitten, which on that note - they've got quite a nice selection, I believe the aesthetic is much better than that of a Walmart store, etc. My kitten, well. . He personally doesn't fancy a collar from the looks of it, he generally appears to touch it until it comes off. I thought that was a bit odd since the collar snaps, after a close examination (seriously, you've got to see micro size details) a piece of the snap was ready to snap off. With so much to keep up with and much paperwork to keep saved, my Petco reciept was the last of my worries and it happened to disappear into the world of lost receipts. I called and was told that I could bring it in and have store credit issued, the lady I spoke to was quite nice too. I came in and the associate was more than willing to assist me, I really did appreciate it and the fact she didn't make it a 30-minute hassle. I was in and out around 5 minutes or so, it's just nice to have such a pleasant experience when it could be a not so pleasant experience. If i need anything, I'll certainly be back, big thanks to the staff at this location. read more

Best spot for your pets in this area. Very nice and knowledgeable staff.

Small chain pet store with limited fish supplies. I came in hoping to find some ich treatment for my fish. The clerk didn't have anything of the sort. What I did not appreciate was him trying to steer me toward other possibilities of the illness when I already told him I knew what the disease was. He told me maybe the fish food was contaminated making my fish ill or maybe the water I was using was not safe water. I know what ich is and I know what it looks like on a fish. He wasted about 15 minutes of my time...all he needed to tell me was that they didn't carry any ich treatment. read more

My boyfriend and I go here for all our pet supply needs. We have two kittens that we adopted about two months ago, and this place is so convenient! It's close to our apartment so we can either drive there and quickly pick stuff up, or go after we do our own shopping at Nugget. It's a smaller version of Petco, but they have pretty much everything you need! The first time we went there, they gave us a Merrick's pet food sample, and the kitties loved it so we started buying it. They sell both the Merrick's dry food and the wet food, in lots of flavors. Healthy and the cats really like it. The first time we went they also gave us a checklist of things to make sure we have for the pets, and this really useful coupon book (50% of a bag of cat food!). They also have lots of toys, just picked up two little mice today for 99 cents each, and the cats played with them for hours. They sell litter as well, the first time you buy it I think it is 12.99 then you go go back and fill it up for 9.99, it's 30 pounds worth (went by myself the first time to get it, it was fun lugging it to the car alone, they did ask if I wanted help but I didn't want to make anyone walk all the way to where I parked my car, ha). They also sell other essentials for pets. Employers are always really friendly, and help you out as soon as you come to the cash register. They have dog training classes too here. read more
