Where do I even start. So I never knew that getting a basic grooming down takes over 5 hours with an appointment. They were rude because I asked why were they starting working on my dog a little after 1 when his appointment was at 9:00am. NO STAR! If you value your pet and want them to be in good hands when being taken care of, I would not recommend this place. The customer service in the vaccination area is horrible. What I learned from my experience at this location, is that time/customer management is something that they do not value. My pet was not handled well and all that was told was I was unable to get my vaccinations due to them poorly handling my pet. Based on obersavtion, I was not the only owner who experienced this. I was also not given critical information and steps on what to do next. I have a scheduled vaccination with a due date and because of this incident, I have to do them again. Let's hope customer service helps, I doubt it. They simply washed their hands clean from what could've been resolved with simple advice and customer service. They don't even bother to express an ounce of care for customers or pets. I find it very interesting how a pop up vaccination for petco allows me to comfort my dog when being taken care of AND this place does not allow me to do the same. But when something goes wrong, they wash their hands from the problem. What a joke. What do you guys expect? Poorly managed. read more

I'm really disappointed with the experience I had at this Petco location. I placed a curbside pickup order specifically so I wouldn't have to go inside, which is the entire purpose of offering curbside service. After arriving and waiting, no one ever came out with my order. I eventually had to go inside the store to get it myself. When I walked in, there were two employees at the front who appeared to be on their phones instead of assisting customers or checking on curbside orders. It was frustrating because curbside pickup is meant to be convenient for customers, but this completely defeated the purpose. If the service isn't being monitored or fulfilled properly, it shouldn't be offered. I understand everyone has busy moments, but seeing employees on their phones while customers are waiting for service doesn't reflect well on the store. I hope management addresses this and ensures curbside orders are actually being handled the way they're supposed to be. read more

I wouldn't bring my dog here for grooming even if I was paid to bring him. I called to see what the grooming schedules are and when next available appointments are. The girl on the phone seems so annoyed and disrespectful over simple questions! What makes you think I would want my lab retriever be worked on at this location?? Customer service is awful here, few times that I have gone to purchase dog food! They make it seem like they work such a hard job where it's difficult to be KIND AND SMILE. Very frustrated right now! I just drove 20 minutes to get a prescription dog food . I only have the email version of the prescription from the vet and they would not take it. They wanted me to drive home , pint it then come Back. Even though I explained that Petsmart has done it in the past and all the numbers that they enter is showing on the email . Do not attempt to get your dog groomed here. My wife scheduled an appointment and marked that my dog has had a seizure (which was due to eating a toxic plant). They cancelled our appointment 18 hours before the grooming and told us we needed a vet note. The vet office was closed and when we called to ask, they said they had already scheduled someone else. We booked this appointment weeks ago and they NEVER said anything until the last day before the appointment. Be very hesitant to book here, always have a bad experience at this store. read more

I have rescued a rather destructive cat, and I was in search of chew deterrent as a last resort. When I couldn't locate the product, I went on a brief search for an employee for assistance. Both ladies who helped me were friendly and efficient. I was able to get their advice on which deterrent worked better based on other shopper's experiences. I come here regularly when I need to restock my cat and dog supplies, and the sales floor is always clean and free of obstructions. The store is always clean, the employees are friendly AND they support rescues! I bring my two GSD's and one foster GSD with me (not all at once!) to Petco when buying food, treats and/or toys. The employees greet our dogs with a smile and offer to feed them a treat. It is a great place to socialize our foster dog! We appreciate Petco carrying a variety of healthy, dry dog food. We buy the Merricks for a good price. Each aisle is organized and clean, which we appreciate. Everything is in its proper place and not messy. The lay out of the store has wide aisles, which helps when bringing your dog because it creates a comfortable space for them. I will continue to shop here for dog food, treats and toys! For my cat, I've gone to this Petco location and haven't been disappointed. I did have to return an item and for some reason there were tech issues with getting our return. Nikki was very helpful when me and my husband returned again to inquire about our return issue because it didn't go through the original time. she was easy to approach and very willing to help us fix this issue immediately. Went in yesterday for dog food for my picky but also itchy dog. Alexus was AMAZING!! She is very knowledgeable, friendly and honest. Found out she is also the dog trainer for this location, can't wait to book training with her. I even asked for her hours to make sure I shop when she is there. My review is mostly on the grooming dept. WOW! Love how awesome and super friendly they are! We have a blue nose pitbul that really is part of family that unfortunelty has that stigma of being a mean and scary dog because she is a bully breed. Walking into the grooming department we were greeted and our dog was treated just like any other dog with such praise of how pretty she is and how well behaved she is! For only $30 dollars she received and awesome doggy Spa day of a bath, nails clipped, ears cleaned out, teeth brushed, combed out, and completely dried and even a nice doggy perfume and a bow or handkerchief! She loved every bit of it and when we picked her up they all kept saying how awesome she was and what a sweet dog she was! This 5 star review is specifically for the grooming department. The girls there are friendly and helpful! I have been taking my dog to see Kayla for about 2 years now (maybe longer, my memory is getting pretty bad) and every visit has been great. I go in every 3 to 4 weeks because my dog sheds sooooo much. Kayla was also the only one able to clip his nails! Prior to our first visit to Petco I used to have to give my dog a pill to calm him down and then take him to our vet to get his nails done, but they couldn't always get all the nails because he would flip out anyhow. The prices are reasonable (I was given a crazy high quote at another salon) and I am always happy when I go to pick up my dog. He looks and smells so nice. Sometimes he has a festive kerchief tied around his neck! As far as the actual store, it's nice and clean and I'm always greeted by an employee. I haven't had any negative experiences with the employees there. I can't comment too much on their product, employee knowledge or anything because I typically go straight from grooming to the register and back into grooming. I get our dog food delivered. I order a few bags at a time and there's usually free shipping and every once in a while a dollar off coupon code. Parking is easy and I am able to run to Target, Kohl's and Save Mart to get errands done while my little guy enjoys his spa day. Make sure you sign up for a Pals Rewards card, and please don't forget to tip your dog/cat groomer!! The girls there are all really great, they work hard and should be compensated accordingly! read more

Sufficiently stocked in aquatic, reptile, and bird sections, good amount of live bearing species, cichlids, gouramis, tetras, Cory's, and all sorts of oddballs, I enjoyed seeing the minimum amount of dead fish at this place, good for beginners, only complaint is that they sell fish bowls and that the man helping me didn't know how to sex fish, so I had to pick to make sure I got the right amount of males to females when I was getting mollys, I enjoy looking at the decor and plants when I visit for my cats or dog and they have healthy looking African dwarf frogs which it can be hard to get them eating if they won't eat dry when you first get them so kudos to them for keeping up with their fish sections! read more

I purchased a budgie here, and after a few days noticed he was sort of lethargic. I called to let them know as it had just been 4 days of having him home. They had me immediately bring him in for vet care. I dropped him off at petco same day in the afternoon. Next day they called to notify me he had been dropped off with vet and would call me as soon as they had another update. They called me after getting him back from the vet to let me know what was going on and I was able to pick him up a few days after! I really appreciated all the communication they had with eachother and myself. I also really appreciated how prompt they were for his care. So I had high Hope's which I guess I shouldn't get from a chain pet store. I purchased my handsome ball python from this location. He has a respiratory infection and is severely underfed. I understand it isn't necessarily the employees faults because obviously they are under trained. I mean come on they sell heat rocks. I wish I could go to this store and buy out all their snakes because obviously they dont take good care of their reptiles. Also for the other people who have commented on Google review and on here about how their animal was in such bad shape that they had to give it BACK TO THE STORE. You literally just gave your animals back to their abusers. If you purchase a sick animal from this store it isn't the animals fault and it's your responsibility as a pet owner to take care of it. It is their responsibility to make sure they gave you a healthy snake. Instead of returning an abused malnourished pet you should definitely just figure out how to properly take care of it. She basically told me that there are so many customers and that if I wasn't sastified to bring my receipt back and they would give my money back. I come to petco a lot. I'm going to actually say I spend 3-400 a month at this petco because it's the nearest pet store besides cauldrons and I refuse to go there anymore after reading the reviews in regards to birdseed having moths and worms in it. Anyway, we live in the country in a fairly spacious home, so I've gotten a lot of pets over the years. I have a teacup chihuahua, a chocolate lab, 2 flowerhorns, 2 blood parrot cichlids, a real expensive beta and a pineapple cheeked conure. I buy all of my birds bedding, food and toys here. I buy dog food that's 60 bucks a bag twice a month, bones and dog toys. I buy fish food, heaters, rocks, testing materials and other decorations for my 3 tanks I have. So, I am disgusted I purchased 22 minnow feeding fish and all have died but one. I've had such a long day and I'm so tired, but have to clean my 100 gallon tank in fear my Flowerhorn and 2 blood parrots will get sick from whatever they have. I suspect they got shock from being in a clean tank, however, I usually get minnows in bulk at petsmart and I seriously have around 50 living in other tanks that I bought 2 weeks ago. I'm angry and will not ever go to petco again. I'm tired, I have to wake up early and have life to do... this is not what I want to go do right now. Thanks a whole lot Petco! Oh and to add they had 2, yes 2 people working in the entire store at 6pm. The store was packed.
