She comes home happily exhausted. Berkshire Dogs Unleashed has been fantastic integrating dogs, of any age, size, and breed for socialization. Lea has also had grooming and regular nail trimming. She has been here since week 1 and her training with them was above and beyond expectation. They were also very proactive when kennel cough ran rapid twice last year and were able to prevent dogs from being affected. The staff that the Kohlenbergers hire treat the dogs (and their people) like family. Courteous and respectful. BDU had also made incredible strides for their community. They supported and held a fundraiser for a young, sick boy from Pittsfield who had to spend months in Boston....(#Carterstrong) At Christmas, they sponsor a giving tree for kids in need. No tag was left behind. Every child cared for. They have held a wonderful canine carnival fundraiser for BASK (Balance and Service K9s). Story book donations to Williams School. They even sent me a get well token after I had emergency surgery in February. More recently, (Berkshire Poodles with the Kohlenberger family) has donated several comfort dogs (18 to date) into all of Berkshire County. I can tell by this expression how much she enjoys the facility and the staff. In their constant photo shares, daily, you can see she's playing and engaging with others. See for yourself. There are ways to get rid of tangles without hurting the dog. Lotions, sprays, and technique - starting at the end of the tangle and working down. But they couldn't be bothered. She hardly had any knots at all and I wound up with the WORST hair cut for my poor puppy. Not only that, but I found a huge wound by her ear that had to have been caused by the clippers. I took my maltese here for boarding and grooming for almost 16 years (my dog just passed). In this time the cost for a grooming only went up three dollars and some change! I was always happy with his cut and reasonable time it took for him to be groomed. Amy used to groom him, she was the best. My dog always came out with a big smile on his face. The staff are ALL beyond kind and considerate towards my dog and I. I boarded him at least once or twice a year (for 10 days) in the suites with the webcams. You must book early for these on holidays. I loved checking in on him and watching him play in the doggie day care (while I missed him on vacation). The staff are attentive to any medications and/or dietary needs, and will call you if there are any major problems while boarded. This business is so great that there is a strong following of people who keep it really busy, so plan ahead for a grooming and boarding. It will be worth it. I totally recommend Pet Spas and Suites. They are so personable and caring. This isn't run like a corporate pet store where you never see the same people again the next time you come in, the crates are half the size at the corporate chain pet store. I went once and they were rude. I had a friend whom the corp. chain didn't take notes on her dog who had a hip problem (nor did they listen to the owners) and the dog ended up getting hurt- requiring surgery- costing thousands of dollars and pain and suffering to her dog. That would never happen at Pet Spa. It will be sometime before I get another pup but I know where I'll be taking him/her when I do. I will miss the Pet Spa & Suites family until then. Thank you for all the love you gave my dog Caesar and the beautiful things you did to honor his life after he passed. They meant the world to me.

I recently moved back to my hometown of Westfield and looking through my first Pennysaver, I saw…read morethe advertisement for this business. I was excited since I needed a groomer for my two Furr-babies. They are brothers but one takes after their dad who happens to be a Maine Coon, so needing a local place to cut their claws and shave Louie, the Maine coon of the two, was essential. I called and spoke to the owner, Nicole, who was such a pleasure and made sure to ask me the right questions as to what I needed and wanted for Louie so she could book enough time for the appointment. I also learned that she only has one animal at a time in the grooming room so as to not stress the animals out anymore than necessary, which I LOVED! When my appointment day came, they were very sensitive to the fact that my boys DO NOT like going into their carriers so they ride free in the car. I bring the carriers in with me because they are extremely willing to go into the carriers knowing they will be going home in them. Nicole was very understanding and since all Huey Hefner needed done was his claws, he was brought in first. By the time I went back out to the car to get Louie Dewey, Huey was all set and in his carrier! So she immediately got down to business with Louie and made quick work of him. I was so impressed with how fast she was because she came out to help other customers along with telling me how well he was doing. I will recommend Nicole, and of course her mom, (which I'm soooo embarrassed to admit I don't remember her name....and SHE even gave Louie a smiley face sticker because of how well he did!), to anyone and everyone! Nicole's pricing is UNBEATABLE also! Tipping her 20% on top of the cost was STILL under what I was paying elsewhere. THANK YOU Nicole for taking care of my boys!

My dog received her first haircut today with Nichol and am very, very happy! My little Shichon not…read moreonly looked great, but a bath and haircut only took a little over an hour. I love that she only does one dog at a time, so no dog is in a kennel after a bath and waiting for their turn to get their haircut. Leah was so relaxed when I picked her up and instead of rushing to the door to get out, she was strolling around, so comfortable and stress-free. And her price is very reasonable! I'm very happy with K-9 & Felines, knowing Leah will always be in good hands and home quickly!
