I have been around German Shepherds for 50 years. I have never met Breeders that work so hard and do it with passion and knowledge of the breed.I should clarify I have never purchased a dog from them but have met a some of the family and you can absolutely trust them!I met Shell Abbott about 3.5 years ago and could not have been more impressed. I recently became ill and Shell and her family helped me in many ways. I have been here twice. The first time I was turned away because my dog was too anxious for them to…read moredeal with. They do not make appointments for nail trimming. The nail trimming service is on a first come first serve basis. This is my second visit, I medicated my dog, prior to going ... I was hoping this would avoid any problems, like last time. My dog has anxiety, when it comes to trimming her nails. Like my previous/first visit I asked for my dog to be muzzled, prior to going back. Last time they wouldn't, it was disastrous. This time I had to beg, the tall woman was really difficult to deal with. There was a petite, short lady who was very helpful and there is a woman, taller in stature with dark blonde hair who is extremely rude. I really was hoping this would be a positive visit. I'm giving them three stars because of the helpful lady, who was petite. It's unfortunate, they don't take appointments for nail trims. It would've been a lot less stressful for all parties involved.

Rob, I am so sorry this took so long to get posted…read more(technical difficulties). Now, we still do not have full control over our boys yet, and I do stress yet) but it is MUCH better. The training we received from you was instrumental in helping us in keeping our two boys safe. Your training was not for them, but for us. Capone and Pawlie appear much happier now, much more responsive, and Jodi and I are much more confident in our abilities. When our boys started becoming aggressive with each other, it broke our hearts. We had so much happening in our lives, we had forgotten that we project on to our kids. Instead of having one step forward , three steps back, we are now four steps forward and one step back. We just know, now, that we have to be more diligent with them and remember they too are our children. Your guidance, and teaching, has helped us regain our lives, and feel that our kids are safe, and they have been playing together. We, as Mom and Dad, still stress and want to make sure they are always safe, but our lives are much calmer because of you and your teaching. I left my dog at DPO in AZ City for 10 days recently, but had left him prior with no problems. One…read moreday before pick up, I received a call from a boy telling me my dog was sick and had diarrhea and blood coming from his rectum. The boy stumbled to speak and down played how sick my dog was. We picked him up the following day and we couldn't believe the bad shape he was in. He had to have been sick for days!! We are getting him tested by the vet, and are hopeful he will survive what happened to him. They postponed a grooming appointment to make him look better before we brought him home. This dog should have been left alone because of his condition. The grooming job is terrible but I am not surprised since he was so sick. I attached a picture at the time of pick up below. Shame on this place and will never return or recommend. Owner should have called me, not some cheap hired kid with no experience. My dog was definitely not cared for properly and I suspect owner struggles to keep or get good help. I will update with the diagnosis once tests come back. Stay away from this place if you love your pet. Wish I could rate 0 stars.

In a short 4 week Barrett (Australian Cattle Dog) has improved on walks and successfully had a play date with a friends puppy. I highly recommend Doggie Steps and Mark as your trainer.
