Cat Grooming review: Liz is wonderful with my cat and speaks to her so kindly. Thank you Liz for making an uncomfortable experience for my cat as pleasant as possible. 6 Stars!!!

Nail trim and paw trim

$28 for a nail trim/buffing and paw trim. Done less then ten minutes. Petco take a little bit more pride in your work for the price you charge. Will not be going back. All four paws are unevenly cut.

Took my dog to get groomed and the male groomer cut his ears without telling me. He attempted to cover it up with some hardening substance. I called the store to inquire about it and was told that I'd receive a callback. I didn't. This is very disappointing, as I've never seen my dog act more traumatized.

I came in looking for Halloween costumes for my dog and I was helped right away. The worker held up different sizes to my dog and told me which ones would fit. The best part was when I learned that all costumes were 50% off if you were a rewards member. My little pup left with a hot dog costume and a pumpkin costume. I appreciated the helpful associate, I was sick of ordering costumes off amazon and having them not fit.

Go somewhere else…read more Starting with hundreds of dollars spent at the vet post-grooming. I picked up my dog and immediately noticed a fresh cut on the tip of his left ear. I also noticed that he was flopping his ears nonstop. I called the groomer when I got home and she said all of this was common due to the "new feeling" post ear shave. Days go by, and my dog just seemed so uncomfortable, so I took him to the vet and it turns out he needed special treatment on the cut likely caused by a razor, and he had an ear infection. The vet stated there was what looked like more razor blade cuts and dried blood even deeper in the inner ear, and excessive water in the inner ear. The vet ended up advising against a groomer that is shaving so deep in the inner canal in general. Ended up being a $200 vet bill with medications. Next frustration was the haircut overall. I clearly stated to not shave my dog. The female groomer that worked on him showed me a picture of a doodle haircut option and I told her that was perfect. She called me shortly after I dropped him off and said she would have to shave his ears and feet due to matting, but that she could trim/cut the rest of his fur because there was no other matting, and that everything else passed some sort of "comb inspection". I said that was fine and I understood. I picked him up when he was done and he was completely shaved everywhere. It was not what I asked for, nor what I was told during the phone call while she was actively working on him. Moreover, it looked patchy and sloppy. When I asked what happened and why she shaved him, she did not have an answer, and seemed to hot potato the question to another worker who was there, and ultimately I got no answers. I walked out paying over $100 for this. (Of note, when I picked up my dog, I was told my dog was calm and did not flinch at anything, so still to this day I don't understand the reason behind this complete shave). Attaching pictures of my dog after this groom vs a groom done by another company earlier this year to show comparison in how bad this cut was. I tried calling several days in a row to speak with the Shaggy Paws owner about my disappointment in all of this and he would not call me back, which was also frustrating. When I finally got ahold of him, he was rude and unprofessional. He told me to fact-check with the vet again about what they inspected and to just follow up with the vet about any concerns post ear grooming. I would avoid this place and go somewhere else

On 8/12/21 we brought our 5 month old puppy into Oakview Pet Resort for doggy day care at their…read moreLake Zurich facility. Hours later we received a call from their staff informing us our puppy was being transported to the Wauconda Animal Hospital to receive stitches after an incident during day care. I met the Oakview staffer at the Hospital along with my puppy. The staffer was very young, inexperienced and very distressed from the situation considering she was wearing my dogs blood and was forced to transport my dog in her personal vehicle. I will spare you the horrific details of how my puppy looked and was behaving in that moment, but I understood fully why the Oakview Staffer was in a state of shock. The Oakview staffer provided a detailed account of the incident while we were at the Hospital. She described her and another staffer pulling at and hitting a full size German Shepard whom would not release his grip on my puppy's throat for well over a minute. What she couldn't do is explain why a 5 month old puppy was in the same play group as full grown male German Shepard whom she admitted had a history of aggression. She repeatedly apologized, insisted the owner would pay for all costs and that the German Shepard would not be welcome back to their property. Not only did the owner not pay for a dime of my costs, but he/she never bothered to ever call to check on my dog's well-being or return any of my emails or phone calls. Unfortunately, we ignored the reviews and opt'ed for convenience living just up the road...it almost cost my puppy his life. The worst part is our dog is now skittish around other dogs.
