After her first visit, I was amazed at how happy and at ease she was! Even more amazing is how excited she is to go back every time since. My seven year old pup does not like change, but this was a good one. She comes back to me looking great and feeling happy. Can't ask for better!

Henry was comfortable and did well with Amanda and wasn't running for the hills to get out of there upon pick up, which says a lot! The prices are reasonable as doodles are high maintenance dogs and doodle owners know this. Henry looked great and was fresh and clean. We are happy we found Shanti Canine Spa and we will be brining Henry here from now on!

The only thing was, when we got our golden retriever back his whiskers were cut off. It took me a minute figure out why he looked so weird...no whiskers will do that....? Anyone who is a pet owner knows that you want to find a qualified & suitable vet & groomer for your…read morefamily pets. We were taking our two dogs to PetCo for the past year or so. They seemed to do an OK job & they were reasonably priced. But I wanted the groomer to be closer to home. We always passed by Pets & Things in downtown Wauconda but there were no Yelp reviews to determine their credibility. Then a neighbor of ours mentioned she took both of her poodles to Pets & Things for a grooming appointment & they did a great job. So my husband & I decided to try them out. After making an appointment, we took our two dogs (who are such scardy cats) in for their Spa day. The owner asked us what we wanted in their hair cuts. She explained that she takes notes so if there is anything we did not like, she would not repeat it the next grooming appointments. I appreciated that because sometimes the other groomers did not completely listen. When we came back to pick them up, my dogs looked great (I'm trying to avoid using the adjective, adorable). They not only have a bandana around their neck but they leave with a "new hair cut" scent. I'm very happy with this groomer & their prices are very reasonable. Warning: They state they accept credit cards but prefer cash or checks. It's probably because of the fees the credit card companies charge.

My Schedule didnt allow for his usual groomer, so i tried someone else. Big mistake. My poor 14 y.o. baby is covered in razorburn and cuts/sores from the groomer. She shouldn't be allowed to groom dogs. My dog is so uncomfortable, he cant sleep. His face is beat red, almost bleeding and so sore, when i picked him up, his foot was bleeding. I was told it should stop on its own. He has a cut on his back paw, a cut/sore on his hip, one on his butt, by both eyes. His fur is all uneven everywhere. I wish i could post pictures of what this so called groomer did to my baby. I'm in tears looking at him. I would like a refund and if he isn't feeling better, i will take him to the vet and will be asking for vet bills to be paid also.

The manager then tells me that maybe the groomer clipped her when shaving her..... she wasn't shaved! She only had a bath! Do not take your dogs here.
