I have only ever had the worst experiences here. The only time I have bought fish from this location they have died not even a day later. I purchased two clownfish a day ago and overnight it killed my fire shrimp that I have had for over a month and the two clowns died as well. This is an extreme waste of money especially because they will not even allow you to return saltwater fish after they wipe out your whole tank. Would never go here again read more

Ordered my kitty food online and selected curbside pickup. Upon arrival I notified the app that I was there and parked as it asks. We waited about 15 minutes and sent another reminder to the store. Waited about another 10 minutes and still nothing. Followed up with a phone call and no one answered the phone. After waiting so long my husband decided to get down and get it himself. As he walked into the store our kitty food was sitting on the counter next to the 2 employees. I would understand if they had customers in line or were swamped, but this was not the case. Instead they were just talking/laughing behind the counter, waiting for time to pass. Highly disappointed with their customer service - and this coming from someone who works in customer service. First of let me say that we spend ALOT of money at Petco but hate going to this location. Today around 2pm we went into the store to grab a couple things. There was 1 employee working the register and several people waiting in aquatics, us included. I walked to the back while my husband waited for aquatics. There were 3 employees back there. Just talking and not doing anything. Finally after about 20 minutes of waiting the manager case over and was extremely rude and put out that she had to help. So this is for the grooming. I just left disappointed again. There is one lady there and for the sake of me I need to learn her name because she does a lackadaisical job every time. To start the cut seems to be more "let me get the hair off" then having any concerns about what we see when looking at our dog. She never gets the hair in between the toes. I always pick hair from out between the toes while I'm there and ask her to clean them up a little more. Even after her second go round on his paws, he always comes back with long hairs hanging. I ask her about it every time and still no change. I always have to take him home and do clean up. Today I'm just over it. read more

I take my fur baby to this location because it's so close to my house. Last week when I got there the lady that was checking me in was so nice and listening to what I was telling her how I wanted my dogs fur/hair cut. The groomer, Rochelle, came out from the back and treating this lady so poorly. And was telling her you need to check her in and be quicker but in a rude way. The lady that was checking me in (an older black lady - didn't get her name) just looked down and you could tell that she was embarrassed of how she was being treated. No person needs to be treated this way. I don't care if the groomer was having a bad day or overwhelmed (because she didn't have the nicest face demeanor). I left my fur baby there concerned that she was going to get treated bad. I mean what do you expect when Rochelle is treating a human being poorly. When I picked up my dog I told the older lady that I was so sorry that she was treated that way and she apologized and said that she was sorry I got to witness that. The older day shouldn't have to apologize for being treated like crap. To say the least I will not be taking my dog there any more. read more

I had the best experience today while getting my hamster bedding for my pet. I originally bought aspen shavings for my hamster however the cashier educated me on the types of bedding good for hamsters.I love my pet so I really appreciate his input, he also offered to help me return the item and went with me to the isle to find better alternative and even helped me by looking online to price match the bedding that was on the website. I did not get his name but he is a great employee! I really appreciate his kindness, from now on I will be buying the bedding that he has recommended to me. read more

i bought a guinea pig from them on Sunday february 6th. unfortunately she was sick, so on the 8th i took her to the vet. i had issues at first getting help with a refund through their sick pet policy, but the Manager Bre was extremely kind, extremely understanding, extremely patient and listened to me when i was upset. She helped me for 3 days trying to get it all sorted out and we did eventually get it worked out. She is an outstanding manager and i wish i could do more than just write a little review. She went above and beyond for me and my pet and i really appreciate it. There was another manager i spoke to, a man who was extremely rude and didn't even try to help me when i first called. But thankfully Bre stepped in and made the process so easy. If you ever need help ask for Bre and she 1000000% deserves a raise !!!! Thank you again Bre if you read this! read more

Unhappy and will not be returning. I've been bringing my babies here for about a year and had no problems. The young lady who always groomed them loved them and they loved her! Tiana was awesome with them!!! They would be sooo happy to see her. Well as of 6-2-19 the person working at the grooming counter told me from now on bring them separately. So I'm expected to drive from Tomball to Humble multiple times in one day because she does not want both of my pups at Petco at the same time!! I was charged $90 for 2 baths, received them back damp, no smell good sprayed on them, requested their teeth be brushed but they weren't, didn't received the report card Tiana would fill out on them either. So I paid $90 to be told don't bring them back to the Petco in Humble together again. Well no worries lady cause they won't be back at all!!!! Sorry to inconvenience y'all at Petco. read more

Good luck getting some help in this location. There is a dog trainer lady that has a voice that is like nails on a chalk board, you know she is working as when you get out of your car in the parking lot you can her her communicating in the store with other employees without a walkie or a PA, just her loud voice that no matter what your shopping for you are now in her conversation as you can't excuse your ears from it. Fish selection is great but trying to find someone to assist you is another story. If there are more than 5 cars in the parking lot we normally turn around as the staff are not able to handle more that one customer at a time. I even applied for this location when it first opened, now I am glad I was not called. The outdoor lights and store sign turn on and off repeatedly after 6pm, this gives the appearance that the location is closed. read more

my dog is a mini schnauzer, needing a schnauzer cut...Michelle was the groomer that claimed to know how to cut schnauzers....but she apparently lied....i received my dog with poorly styled haicut...legs were cut too short....her nails were not cut or buffed...skirt was uneven and too long...she ignored my request for the lengths and shape of face....but, worst of all....SHE CUT HER EAR!!!...when i arrived...Michelle was not at the store, but arrived as i was waiting for my dog to be brought out...she began talking nonstop, while ringing up my transaction...she was just rambling...it was very overwhelming to be in her presence, she was figity and messy and unprofessional...my dog came out and nearly ran through my body...my dog was scared and practically climbing over me to run out the store...i have never seen her so scared before...Michelle continued to talk while my dog was freakimg out....and then she took my dog from me and with a towel was trying to stop the bleeding, then grabbed my dog and took my dog to the back...i was so confused...everything happened so fast...i didn't realize my dog was bleeding...in the meantime....Elizabeth, another employee refunded my money, Michelle brought the dog out and proceeded to spray liquid bandaid on my dogs ear...i never got a chance to really see my dogs ear....Michelle was almost purposely trying to distract me with all that talking so that i wouldn't notice the bleeding...also...while my dog was in her care, she never called me during the grooming session to let me know she cut my dog's ear....i left the store with my refunded money and a very scared and stressed , poorly groomed dog....i regret my decision to book an appointment with Michelle without research....i will never book with her again! read more

The store in general is awesome. Now the vet on the other hand is a diff story. I took my puppy there on a Friday to see the vet about her eyes. Was told to come back the next day and the vet would see me. When I arrived the next day the woman told me that all they dealt with was skin and coats and not eyes ... so they pretty much turned my hurting baby down I definitely wouldn't recommend the vet read more
