Store hours are GREAT! Courteous staff always greets you with a smile and willingness to assist, flexible schedule and competitive pricing

I had a wonderful experience with Selena my dog groomer! From the moment we arrived, she was kind, professional, and made my pup feel comfortable. Reese's came home looking clean, fresh, and absolutely adorable. Selena took her time and was patient with grooming him. She definitely groomed him with great attention to detail, and it was clear she genuinely care about my dog. She provided excellent service was timely, and the communication throughout the appointment. I drove from Murrieta and I am glad I did. A previous customer referred me Selena and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and talented dog groomer. We will definitely be back! read more

We've been here many times. I just noticed on the Yelp site they said Petco had Vetenarian services, which it doesn't. It's hard to find emergency services after hours that isn't less than an hour away. read more

Good place to shop for healthy alternatives, sometimes you find gems in the clearance section too. Staff is very nice and welcoming.

I'm so disappointed in Petco, I purchased 10 ghost shrimp turns out they had bacterial necrosis. So I introduced them to my tank that was established for over 3 months with healthy shrimp and they gave it to all my shrimp. So all my shrimp started to get sick and I traced it back to the ones I bought at Petco. If you are in town go to pet smart the fish lady there knows absolutely everything and she treats all fish before she sales them. I'm devastated I spent a lot of money and there was nothing I could have done for my shrimp. I noticed one was a little white when I got it at Petco but I thought she was going to molt....... i was wrong and it cost my 50 shrimp and my tank. Petco is supposed to be selling healthy animals and healthy fish but I guess they chose money over them. They should have caught the discoloring instead they just sale them as is. Fuck our money. read more

We had a great experience, my order was filled just as they opened. Really appreciate that!

janae and ashlee are the worst but overall I'm incredibly disappointed with my recent experience at Petco. The staff seemed uninterested in helping, and when I finally got someone's attention, they barely had any knowledge about the products. I was looking for help choosing food for my pet with allergies, but the employee gave vague suggestions and didn't seem to care at all. On top of that, the store was messy and disorganized. Several shelves were empty, and a few had expired products still sitting out. I expect a pet store to prioritize the health and well-being of animals--this felt more like an afterthought. I won't be coming back. read more

Grooming appointment. We were told a couple of hours, but actually 4 1/2 hours. All the kennel time stressed our pup out so much that she didn't start playing or eating until the following day. None of our hair cutting requests were followed, Groomer Jasper was rude (making derogatory comments about our pup (he didn't know my husband was around the other side of the wall). Our Pup's nails were not cut and we had to do it when we got home, note two of her nails were curling near her foot pad. Worst Grooming Experience we have ever experienced. Don't waste your money or torture your pet at this store. read more

Our Groomer is Christine, and she does a nice job on my dog. Grateful to get the "First" appointment of the day, she opened the door for us My Concern/Complaint is in the way they cram so many appointments in a day that my 9 lb dog took 4 1/2 hrs to be done. Nothing fancy just shampoo and cut‍ I left very angry after paying $73.‼ read more

Today Rye helped me return a bag of cat food and purchase some other bags of dog food. Customer service is terrible. Employees are stuck up and rude. They are extra judgemental about their own product and lack knowledge. Once you make a return based on their false info they want to chastise you. Back to petsmart I go. Don't waste your money here. read more

Very rude employees. It's one thing to turn down a return because of not having a paper receipt even though it's 2024 and you certainly can look it up on the computer. It's an entirely another thing to be condescending and rude to someone. I will never be returning to this Petco location. This is not how any other Petco has ever treated me. read more

I wish I'd asked her her name. There is an amazing employee here who walked me through the store helping me find food for my 12 year old dog. Her product knowledge of the different stages and what we are looking for by ingredients in each dog food. I really appreciated the help. I get overwhelmed was that kind of stuff. Thank you very much for your knowledge and cheerful assistance. read more

Their dog grooming department is the absolute worst. They have disrespectful and rude employees that I believe never want to be there. They have bad attitudes and act like they hate their job. We have been going to Petco locations for 10 years to have our dog groomed. We typically go to Menifee, but due to their availability, we had to book with Hemet. The two times we have been there, they try everything they can to not groom our dog. "He seems to nervous to be groomed" "He is really shaky, we might have to stop and have you pick him up" This last time, the groomer pulled a sticker from his face and he turned his face quickly and yelped. She then told us, she's afraid he will bite so we cannot groom him and he is banned from all Petcos?! 10 years with Petco and now we are banned? We have never had a problem with any other location ranging from San Diego to Riverside. She just doesn't want to work, which is why she was also 10 minutes late opening the store. Do not go there ever! read more

I love the ladies in the grooming department! We have been taking our dogs to them for many years and have not once ever had any complaints! I brought my 7 month old Chipoo Louie in to get groomed. They got him in same day and were super patient and amazing with him. He'd never been groomed before so I was a little nervous but they said he did great! And I think a lot of that had to do with their kindness and patience with him! We will definitely be bringing him back for all our grooming needs! Thank yall so much! He's so happy he can see again! They are 100% Louie approved! read more

Petco online promises o. Some items same day delivery. They say order now and it will delivered by 12pm. Here it is 3:30pm no delivery. When I called petco customers service they say it will be delivered by 5pm. I asked why do you advertise by noon, if it is not going to be delivered by then? All the agent on the phone said was door dash was delivering it and sorry. I guess petco is doing the "Old bait and switch" so you'll buy from them because they are more expensive than most pet stores. I could have picked up the medicine for dog somewhere cheaper read more

Used to frequent PetSmart for grooming and dog supplies as I liked the store, location and groomer, Charlotte. Over time, grooming charges increased and it became more difficult to get an appointment with Charlotte. I forget PetCo is in the next shopping center. Recently, switched to Merrick's Dog Food and PetSmart does not carry that brand. Usually go to the PetCo Menifee since it's closer to work. Today, used the Self-Dog Wash at the Hemet location. Rita, the groomer, was very helpful as it was my first time. The dog wash is so convenient, especially when you have a large dog. They supply everything, although the shampoo and conditioner is thinned with water. Whatever, they will supply more if you need it. It's $15 a wash and you need to show proof of rabies vaccine. I think it's worth the money. It saved my back, cleaning the tub/floor, washing all the towels and having a wet dog run through the house. read more

If you are looking for excellent quality dog training, consider this Petco in Hemet. We took the Puppy Level 1 & 2 course with Nancy A. and she was incredibly helpful in educating us how to properly train and adjust our puppy to a home with another dog and baby on the way. She is very educated in dog behavior and will go above and beyond to equip you with everything you need to succeed as a dog owner if you put forth the time and energy into your pup. I have a 17 year old chihuahua who is a bit skittish after being in a back yard for 11 years before I rescued her in 2017, but she needed some grooming. The ladies at the Florida Ave location in Hemet are AMAZING. They take good care of her and talk to her so she stays calm. When I pick her up she isn't shaking at all because she feels comfortable with the entire staff. I LOVE THESE GROOMERS!!! read more

Petco sold us a cat post. $163 plus tax. Less than 90 days later, our 12 pound cat jumped onto the top tier and it broke off. The screws weren't holding the post together properly. The one who did the construction, screwed the edge of the top tier onto the center pole piece instead of doing so closer to the middle, This meant, every time a cat jumped onto the top, it made it tilt and bend until it broke. Someone did not know how to properly construct these posts. It is PURE JUNK. The store wouldn't even consider an exchange. Now, they'll live with another horrific review. That's a LOT of money to spend for improper construction. I'll never go into that store again. read more

I'm sorry for the people that think this place is a good place to take your dogs to get groomed. I have come here time and time again to get disappointed every single time. Their saying is "If you're not satisfied get your money back" yeah right they never offer and have to take my dog back a second time and the work is still lazy. I called them for an appointment on December 10 and they said they could get her in the same day so I told the girl on the phone what I wanted because she asked. Then I come in and a different girl asks what I want so I tell her. When I come and get my dog I try to give them a chance again, but when I get home I notice literally nothing was done to her. The store is clean enough but the staff is so rude and Unknowledgeable. I dread going there ever so I prefer Petsmart next-door. Now the Petco in Temecula is much more better, this one is just trash. It's not that the staff is not properly trained, it's just common courtesy and common sense on how to act to customers, which they do not do. read more

I have seen year after year how unfortunate it is to have a "dog trainer" who is way off the track when it comes to helping people wanting to train their dogs. I am a certified trainer. I come to Petco primarily for fish and fish supplies. I have nothing but good things to say about this location. While many Petco locations have horribly run fish departments full of dirty aquariums and dying fish, this one certainly does not. The aquatics specialist really knows what she is doing here, and their aquariums are kept in great condition. I rarely see any dead or sick fish, and when there are sick fish, they are immediately listed as "not for sale." This is also one of the better Petco locations for saltwater fish and corals. They have a very good selection of saltwater fish, and carry several exotic species not found at other Petco locations. While this location does not have a dedicated frag tank like Temecula does, they still do carry several nice corals. Customer service is very good here. All the employees I've interacted with are quite friendly, eager to assist, and are always smiling. It really seems like they love their jobs. Overall, a great Petco with a wonderful fish selection and friendly staff. read more
