I've been taking my dogs to Kittie for over ten years, and for the most part, the experience has been fine. I pay for the services, leave a tip (as prompted with her customary, "How much do you want to tip?"), and my dogs come home happy. That said, my most recent visit will unfortunately be my last. Over the years, we've maintained a friendly client-groomer relationship, but this recent experience completely soured that. I dropped my dog off at 2 PM and got a call at 3:30 saying he was ready (Kittie closes at 4). I was running a bit late--life happens--and by 3:50, she called again, informing me she was closing in ten minutes and that if I didn't arrive on time, my dog would have to stay overnight with an extra fee. I'm sorry, but threatening a loyal client of over a decade with an overnight fee over being slightly late? That's a choice. And yet, as always, she still made sure to ask, "How much tip are you leaving?" It's a shame, really. I love supporting small businesses, but at this point, I'd rather give my money to a corporate chain that values customer relationships over arbitrary policies. I certainly won't be recommending Kittie to anyone in the future. read more

#1 way over priced and a did a horrible job. Nobody that works there seems like they like there job. Seems she was trying to be nice but really was a piece of flesh with clippers. Just dropped off my dog for the second time to get groomed, as they did an amazing job with our Yorkie last time, and I am so impressed! It opens at 9 AM and I had a 9 AM appointment, and the doors were already open and ready for business just after 8:45 AM. Being ready for business 15 minutes before the posted time is a very small detail but a rare thing to find in most businesses and super appreciated by most. My dog and I were welcomed with a warm smile and true hospitality and I get the feeling that it is done this way all the time for every customer. The owner, Kittie, and her main groomer, Suzie, care a great deal about all the animals and it shows in their work. The grooms are excellent and the breed cuts Kittie does have been shown in dog competitions as well. They take really great care of your pets and treat them like they're family. I've been to this place twice now. Both times I had to pay extra than originally quoted for my dog and both times they neglected to trim his nails. I even gave them a tip both times. I've asked for and have it written down how I wanted him groomed and both times they failed to do so. If I hadn't been as sick as I have been I would've noticed they messed up for a 2nd time before I left the shop. As sick as I am I plan on taking him back to get this rectified soon and will be once again searching for a new groomer. Gold'N Groom makes you feel like family. They remember my dog and always look forward to seeing her. Patchouli (my french bulldog) always leaves looking beautiful and even get's her nails painted. Patchouli had a hurt paw and it was swollen and infected and none of the vets in Hemet would see her before the 4th of July Holiday. I was so worried because I didn't want Patchouli do go that long in pain. I called the owner of Gold'N Groom to cancel patchouli's grooming appointment. When I explained what had happened to Patchouli she personally went into the vet and asked them to please see her client. Because of that Patchouli was able to be seen and taken care of right away. Once we moved we had to Find a a new good groomer for our Cocker Spaniel. After reading other good reviews I called Gold n Groom and got a hold of Kitty. She's great, really friendly, very professional staff. I love when groomers put bandannas on our dog, he looks so cute afterwards. They did a great job on my Miniature Poodle, I was impressed he came out looking really cute just how I wanted and the bandana they gave him was adorable. This is the first time I've been here. I give it 4 stars because they charged me an additional 15 dollars I'm assuming because my dog didn't behave? I don't think I've ever had to pay 60 dollars for a full groom before. Actually at the previous groomers they didn't do such a good job and couldn't deal with my dog since then he hasn't behaved well with any groomers but since they failed to finish the job they didn't charge a penny. Been going here for a while and the last couple visits I was literally charged DOUBLE because my "pets didn't behave". I thought that was strange after several visits there. As a business owner myself, this isn't good business. She does a good job but I won't be going back because I felt taken advantage of..... I don't like giving Gold 'N Groom a bad rating because they are excellent at grooming our dogs. But, I called yesterday to make an appointment for our two dogs. It seemed the girl was trying to discourage me from bringing them in by going on about the price being higher than our previous visit. I said the rate of $60 is fine we just would like to have our dogs groomed. So, we set the appointments for today at 12:30. This morning they called me saying the groomer assigned to our one dog had a death in the family so they will not be able to do either of our dogs and they didn't know how long until she was coming back, maybe two weeks. I asked why our one dog couldn't be groomed today and she said well, she can so to come in at 12:00 or better at 11:00. Which made me think they must not be booked up if I could come in earlier. My concern was why I had to wait for this one person to come back to work before having my dog groomed. Don't they have other groomers? I cancelled both dogs and decided to go someplace else. Then I received a call 2 hours later saying the girl came in and they didn't think she would have, so, I could bring both dogs in for grooming. I turned down the appointments and went elsewhere because I felt their staff has an issue communicating with customers. To sum it up, they are terrific at grooming but they need to learn better customer service. I really felt that they didn't want my business. read more
