I can not believe how poorly my dog was groomed- all they did was she's everything off and it's totally uneven.

Worst haircut ever. I feel so bad for taking my dog there. Would never recommend. Haircut was very uneven and not worth the price

Rude groomers. Plenty of locations I'd avoid this one. Customer service is absolutely lacking.

This is specific to their psychiatric service dog training program, and I will preface by saying 1)…read moremaybe if you pay the full cost of the program (I was told I didn't need to because my dog had a strong obedience foundation) and 2) have something they consider a more legitimate psychiatric condition, you'll have a different experience. I'll also add that I've heard from other PSD handlers who've worked with DTE in other states that they had fantastic experiences, so it's possible this particular DTE is not equipped for this kind of training. I had been owner-training my service dog in-training and after a particularly difficult period personally, was looking for support in task training and public access. My contract was for six one-on-one sessions, with the option of adding more later on if I needed it, and unlimited group classes. The first session was an outing and went well enough, so I was optimistic. Once the sessions became task focused at my home, however, it was clear the program lacks depth. From the jump, they were obsessed with "certifying" my dog as an SD (which should have been my first red flag). There is no required certification in the U.S. under the ADA--service dogs are required to meet certain behavioral standards in public and must be trained to accomplish tasks that are directly related to a person's disability. Without going into too much personal detail, I was looking for support with deep pressure therapy and grounding, repetitive behavior interruption, medication reminder and retrieval. After two more sessions, I reached out with concerns that either I had not articulated my goals clearly or that they were being dismissed. I received a phone call from the lead trainer, Jason, asking me what it was I felt like I wasn't receiving, and I explained that I wasn't concerned about "certification," that my focus was on helping my dog train for the tasks that would mitigate my disability. He said he would speak to the trainer I had been working with to figure out how to make those more of a priority. At the next session, the trainer told me that she had spoken with Jason and that my agreement was only for training two tasks and also mentioned that I actually only had 12-group sessions (the first of which was not in the contract, the second was in direct conflict with the contract). I could tell that my pushback had "gotten me in trouble." The last session I used was with Jason--it lasted about 20 minutes and consisted of his "demo dog" walking back and forth past my dog to see if it made him uncomfortable. When I reiterated that I wanted to work on grounding and deep pressure for dissociative episodes his response was "everyone day dreams," and when I brought up behavioral interruption, he brushed it off saying that I had to think about whether I really wanted my dog to knock my hand away every time it went towards my face because it could get really annoying. I decided it was time to find a new training program. When I sent them a note saying I would no longer be using their services and had decided to move forward with a different trainer, I received no response. I'm not sure if it was a case of them not taking my needs seriously because I don't look like I need a service dog, if they're used to a quick cash grab from people looking to take their dogs everywhere with them by relying on an SD "certification," or if they're just truly not equipped to do this type of training. But if you're looking for a psychiatric service dog training program nearby, I would absolutely steer clear. There are other, better options available, you just have to do a little bit more digging.

The facility is clean, with nice outdoor spaces and I think the base price was fair. I also chose the higher tier "celebrity" activity package because he's a puppy and it was his first time being boarded, I figured the more attention he got the better. When I picked him up he was excited to see us but didn't seem stressed at all. He was sleepy the rest of the day from playing which was exactly what I was hoping for. I loved the cute picture and report card update I received. I would definitely use this boarding facility again.

After our puppy Eddie participated in a couple of puppy socials at Wiggles, we gave boarding a try. Eddie did great, he ran right in and was very happy to see everyone which put our minds at ease. The staff is very caring and helpful. Special shout out to Camden and Evan for taking extra good care of Eddie and for dealing with our million (and sometimes repetitive) questions, they are always happy to answer and help. We appreciate the different walk/play time packages to make sure Eddie gets a lot of activity. Having never boarded a dog before, everyone at Wiggles made everything very easy and comfortable and we are so happy to have a trusted place for Eddie!

For those who have been challenged with handling a reactive dog , you understand the mental toll it…read moretakes and how isolating and hopeless it can feel . You thought you did everything right by giving your dog so much love and socialization only to now be faced with questions and comments like " why didn't you just train your dog ?" , " you're not the alpha to your dog", " you shouldn't be a dog owner" on a regular basis. I have a 6 year old boxer ( the social , goofy clowns of the dog breeds) . I've worked with dogs in the past as a kennel attendant, and grown up with dogs my entire life and never thought I would be in this situation . I struggled to find a trainer whose techniques showed progress which lead to inconsistency, a lot of frustration and doubt . Eventually taking him places like the vet and groomer caused me such extreme anxiety. When I met Tom , my dog was unapproachable by strangers , including Tom initially. It took a month or so of meeting up , going on walks and practicing techniques at home but I was seeing improvement! Not long after Tom was able to take the leash from me and walk Gus, and we could walk near other people without Gus acting like a total maniac , lunging , barking and snapping. It was like he was a normal (ish) dog . Gus is 6 , so it will be a slow process to break him out of this behavior , but he has improved so much in the last 6 months .. I never thought I would get this far. I still have my work cut out for me but this training has also helped me increase my confidence as a dog owner and learn to trust my dog again. I'm not longer so nervous to take him out on walks because I feel like I'm in control.( Holding back an 80 pound boxer is not an easy task ) . I definitely recommend Tom if you are struggling with a similar situation. It probably has been the best thing I have ever done for Gus!

Highly recommend, they know their business and can handle highly aggressive dogs. Tom is ver…read moreinformative.

From leash pulling to barking, and even separation anxiety, Maggie was testing our every nerve. Michael came and showed us that it was not about dominating your dog, but leading them. Through just a few verbal and visual cues we were able to help Maggie understand that she did not have to be the leader, and that we would take care of her. Now she is happy to sit back, relax, and let us take the reins. She is an absolute gem on walks now. Knowing that we will have Michael throughout Maggie's lifetime is a relief, because we know that he will be able to guide us through any future life hurdles. Thank you, Michael!

After our first session there was great improvement. Richard used positive reinforcement and it was fun for our dog. I found it simple to incorporate the training methods into our everyday activities. It's been a few months now and and Owen no longer has issues. I used what I learned with all three dogs and it's made a huge difference in our home. No more stress, all the dogs get along nicely and play together. All three dogs pay attention and listen to me. I am so happy I found Bark Busters. I couldn't ask for a better outcome. Prior to our training, Vickie explained everything to me and answered all questions. The fees are very reasonable too. I highly recommend Bark Busters and wouldn't go anywhere else.
