Scab from cut received during rushed grooming.

This store does not open till 9 even though it lets you book a grooming appt at 8:15. When I dropped off (he's first appt of day), I asked how long the grooming would take, the gentleman said Petco allows for 4 hours, so 1pm. At 12:30, I hadn't heard anything so I called and asked if I could pick up my dog at 1pm. The gentleman was rude said that he hadn't gotten to my dog yet and repeated he had 4 hours and that he was busy that day. So I confirmed 4 hours was 1 o'clock. He said yes and my dog would be done by 1pm. Dog was done by 1 but in a rush to finish him they cut the area in between where his front leg meets his chest. Charged me $115. Will not be going back here. Poor dog.

Pond is algae free. Ph normal. Fish and frogs are happy. Except no new friends.

I just wanted to buy 10 $.20 goldfish. My husband went in the store and told them 2 days ago our fish all died because I added bleach to the water. (NONE of THAT is TRUE!) They refused to sell him any. So, I went in to tell them the truth. 2 weeks ago I cleaned the pond from too much algae, I threw.out the dead fish(5 out of 15), I washed some rocks with bleach, rinsed them I did a ph test on the water and it's fine. The frogs and tadpoles are still happy in the pond. I think too much algae killed some of the other fish. The fish that died were over 4 years old. Now, the manager REFUSED to sell me some goldfish. He said he didn't BELIEVE me! I'm am furious with him! He doesn't believe me??? He doesn't think I know what I'm doing? I don't even think he listened to me. I have a masters degree, taught school, had aquariums and ponds all my life and now HE TREATED me with DISRESPECT. I'll never go there again! I guess if I wanted to feed them to a lizard, it would have been better to lie.

The second time our appointment was right at opening time and they were nearly 15 minutes late showing up to even open the doors. (Totally unprofessional but I tried to be understanding as I was told their child was sick.) The main problem came when we got her back she was absolutely trembling, and she had diarrhea again as soon as she got home, where it also became apparent that they had done a rather shoddy job with the "sanitary" part of her comfort cut, also neglecting to trim her nails. It honestly looked like all they did was fluff and trim her ears and face and put one of those bows on her. The next day her rear end looked so incredibly red and uncomfortable that I took her to the vet immediately, who said her anal glands hadn't been expressed in quite some time... She implied that perhaps it had been attempted, but wasn't done properly and was causing our dog a lot of discomfort. Anal gland expressing and nail trims should be a standard part of any groom. This place simply didnt do the job they were paid to do, twice, and we also suspect they are kind of rough with the animals as our girl hasn't shaken after a groom since we changed groomer. Edit: The owner asked me to remove this review because it is "unfair" and I suspect they do the same with all their less than favorable reviews as their only reviews besides mine are very old. They also claimed that they do not, and have never expressed anal glands, yet the service is listed on their website as included in a standard groom. So I assure you (owner as well as fellow yelpers) this is my honest review and experience and I am not trying to ruin anybody, simply warn other people that we did not get anywhere near the level of service we paid for at this establishment, and our poor dog suffered for it.

I just want to start off by saying that I am pretty disappointed in the staff and owner. We have been bringing him here since August of 2022. I know he was first in the Toy box room and has transitioned to the Gym room now. It seems like he started doing this when he was placed in the bigger room with the bigger dogs. But honestly, I don't know because no one communicated to me that he was doing this. We started to notice it when we picked him up and his feet were wet. Everyone at the front desk just acted like it was no big deal. So fast forward to March of 2023 and I sent an email to you all about why Oakley was being put in "timeout." Well turns out that the digging/playing in the water bowl is still happening and is getting worse. So you all ask about instating your three step process and I give you permission to do so. "We can also instate our three step process, where after the first incident we have them sit at our feet for 30 seconds, then after the second incident we walk them on a slip lead , and if it happens again THEN he would get the crate break." I have watched/recorded the webcams and the three step process is not a thing. All of the canine coaches are just done with my dog and he gets put in the crate immediately. Also, can someone explain to me why some of these canine coaches walk around the room with two metal bowls and bang them together? Or run a metal bowl across the top of the crate? I don't understand that and it doesn't seem like something a lot of dogs would like. So here we are today May 10, 2023 and I get a text message that "Oakley is taking an extended break right now" and "It seems like a game to him and we have used all the corrections & redirections that we are able to in this environment." I was told to call and basically was told that myself and Oakley should look elsewhere. So that is what we will do. I understand the annoyance of him digging/playing in the water bowl, but I don't see any real problem with it. He is a one year old puppy. We did 2 weeks of training at this facility and 8 weeks to prepare for his Canine Good Citizen and Canine Good Citizen Advance test, which he passed. Kit and Alex the trainers are awesome. He is not a bad dog. He just loves water! The bottom line is all of the canine coaches got tired of my dog. He was punished by being put in the crate any where between 10-40 minutes all because he was digging/playing in the water bowl. We were paying to have our dog socialized and he was not. If we wanted him to be in a crate all day, then we would have just kept him at home. It's just a shame that there was a lack of communication and broken promises. I wish the owner would have responded to my email, but here I am posting a Google Review that I am sure he will respond too. I hope you are able to find staff members that truly are dog people and care for them as if they were their own. I attached photos of bowls being banged together and Oakley always in the crate. P.S. We have already found a new place and they have little pools for him to play in! - Courtney & Mike Frazzetta
