They charge 85$ too cut my dogs hair and didn't do it never go here they will lie and say your dog wouldn't Cooperate she never had any intention to cut the dogs hair now I have to find someone else to cut the dogs hair when we ask the lady that we pick our dog up from she said they never do the first time . Was just in Branson, shopping around and stopped by Petco to look around for some things. As I was walking through I was looking at the animals there....i have NEVER been so disappointed...the guinea pigs were physically WET because of the conditions of the cages. The rats were also wet all along the bottom. I counted over 15 dead batas on ONE shelf. There was a single bird in cage that was almost totally bald and constantly pulling and ripping feathers out, looked terrible! I went to check out and set my VERY FEW items on the counter, honestly debated on even spending anything after what I had seen....and the cashier just looked off into space for a solid 45-60 seconds, no greeting or a single word! I have never been so disappointed and in utter shock like I have today!! i bought a hamster for my 5 year old from there last year and only had problems. she was soo sweet, but had skin issues and would stop eating while she was having issues. Took her to vet twice and had no actual answers besides she was sick....ended up losing our baby. After seeing the conditions today, I am wondering if I just happened to catch the cages actually cleaned for once when I bought her! I have a 100 lb Bernadoodle and Petco in Branson, MO did a PHENOMENAL job with his haircut and bath!! He has some straight, some curly hair and a lot of it! They did an even cut all around and cut perfectly around his eyes, nose, ears and mouth! Such a great job! He was so handsome and smelled good and didn't come home with little cut hairs all over him like the last place. He had been blown out and fluffed. He was immaculate and happy! I went in looking for grow lights, just decided to take a look at the reptiles they had. At least one lizard and three ball pythons had stuck sheds. I let an employee know, but she really only gave excuses. I'll give 2 stars just because she wasn't rude, and said she would let the reptile keeper know and turn up the humidity a bit. read more

We came in to Petco to get my dog a haircut and we left her there for a couple hours and she was treated horribly she she looked really really bad. She had a hair sticking out in place it is not even done yet I would not recommend going to get your dog a haircut. Hear it looked absolutely horrible. You could even see her own skin. She had Nick march all over her belly. read more

Most of the staff are very pleasant and knowledgeable of how to care for your pets. I've had a couple of negative experiences with some staff, but the good experiences far out weigh the bad. I recommend shopping here for your pets. read more

I am being generous in giving them 1 star. I would not recommend this store for dog grooming. Had an appt for bath and cut at 9:45. By 1:45 I still hadn't been called so went into the store only to find out the only thing that was done was a bath. Was told it was going to be at least another half our or so. When I took my dog in the groomer told me she had 2 dogs ahead of mine. While I was waiting to get my dog, a gentleman came for his dog who was to have had a bath and the groomer was cutting the dog's hair. The gentleman stopped her and took his dog. The groomer kept saying these are live dogs and things happen. Four hours of things. The manager said she was a new groomer and gave us the card of their best groomer if we wanted to get an appt. with her. No way!!! Under no circumstances will I ever take my dog there read more

This was the 3rd time I took my Great pyrenees, Casper, to be groomed here. Megan has groomed him every time. Casper is a little skittish of going in, but once he is with his friend, Megan, he settles right down. She does an absolutely beautiful job of grooming him and always does exactly what I want her and do. I highly recommend her! read more

We signed our dog up for one on one, private training. The first lesson actually went really well and we, along with our dog, learned a few new things. I brought her back the following week and trainer asked me if I had signed up on line. I said yes and had to remind him that we had already met the week prior. He did not remember the training and we spent a good 20 minutes (of a 45 min class) going over again what we were expecting to get out of the training - for the second week. Our major concerns were her behaviors such as jumping up on people and tearing up things (as she had destroyed our couch). He spent the remainder of the class walking her around the store and trying to teach control of her on the leash with other dogs (not a concern of ours since we never take her out in public she doesn't need to learn so many things on the leash). There wasn't much control over our puppy during this class, and I was told that it was probably because it was about to storm and I shouldn't have brought her in because of that, although this had never been conveyed. It was explained to me that storms can cause anxiety and such with dogs, so I tried to be understanding with the lack of training that happened during our 2nd class. Week three rolled around and I was called due to the trainer needing class to be cancelled because he had someone else coming in for something (and again because of the storms coming in.) The following week, once again, it was storming so I did not bring her in as I was told both week 2 and 3 not to bring her in during storms. It was then 3 weeks now since our 2nd class when storms were supposed to be coming in so I called the store. I didn't talk to the trainer (whomever answered the phone said he was busy) but was once again suggested by her not to bring my puppy in if it was going to storm. I asked her at that time if I could just be refunded for the two classes we have not been able to complete because at this point we would have to start all over again. I was then told I could still bring her in but just know the training may not go well. While I understand the weather is out of the trainer's control, there were no phone calls made to attempt to find a time that could work with the weather cooperating. Instead we are dealing with a puppy that we signed up for training classes and have only been able to complete 2 (with second one learning nothing). I've been taking my miniature poodle to Petco for about a year. I drive about 30 minutes to get her to the groomer because it's so hard to get into one of our local groomers. I can usually get an appointment within 1-2 days of calling. I have been pleased with the way Sassy looks when she is finished. Sassy is an elderly poodle who hates the groomer, but they have made this experience a little easier for her. Petco makes an attempt to follow a traditional poodle look which is something most of Sassy's groomers haven't done. Since Sassy is a "difficult groom" most groomers usually recommend a puppy cut which doesn't give the distinguished poodle look. I've been pleased and will continue to use Petco for grooming. read more

Rescued dog , needed Help as not trained. Signed up for Dog Training and what a difference! Rachael was our trainer. Our "Suzie" dog really listened to her. Six weeks and we learned a lot. Thanks Rachael! Grooming Suzie twice now and we are very pleased , they have Suzie looking so cute. Everyone is so friendly. read more

I have been taking my teacup yorkie to the Branson Petco for several years and have found Vanessa to be a top notch groomer. She takes great care to a be thorough, address my concerns and my tiny dog comes home looking and smelling great with a great attitude. Because of my dog's size and fears from a rough first year of life, I try to be very careful she will not experience any trauma and she has never left Petco giving me any concerns. This place is HORRIBLE!!!! If you love your pets DO NOT TAKE THEM HERE!!!! I took my two doggies and when I picked them up, one of them had been taken across the street to get a STAPLE!!! yes a STAPLE between her front leg and chest. I was hesitant about taking them to Petco because about a year ago I took them to a Petco in Las Vegas and they had nicked one of my dogs ears. I figured I give them a try, considering it was a different state and staff but I was wrong. I especifically communicated with the groomers that she was a nervous doggie and if she was just hard to work on, to call me and I would pick her up. (I have taken her to other groomers and she always seems to be fine) Well, they didn't call me, they didn't even call to tell me she was at the vet getting staples!!!! The manager or whomever she was tried to make up by giving me coupons. No coupons were going to remedy what they had done. I'm never ever returning to any Petco! I didn't get his name because I was too busy keeping my little blind dog out of all the fantastic smells (to a dog!) I was in there last week looking for a urinary specialized dog food having just recently moved here from OR - He was SO helpful as well as knowledgeable and also told me about the 30 day guarantee (of which I was unaware) I was SO impressed with him and just wanted to tell his boss! (altho finding a place to write a review on here is VERY difficult! its taken me 3 days!) Maybe your Inventory Manager could fix the problem?!?!?!?
