We were traveling through the area and wanted a day to do some of the activities without our pup. Reservations were easy. Our dog seemed to enjoy her stay there. But, the location is awful! The one-lane gravel road to get there was already a bit intimidating, but we were there during a big rainstorm that was causing flooding, and the drive to pick up our dog was pretty scary. Also, when I told them we would be there right around 9am (when they open) to pick up, they sounded pretty annoyed. I would probably not use them again, based solely on their location. read more

WORST PLACE I HAVE EVER BEEN TO! It is absolutely disgusting in there, very sketchy, and distanced in the middle of no where! I came to pick my dog up and walked in on a little girl hitting him!! forcing him to stay up on the coach. once we got him back he was so thirsty and hungry, even though we had provided food! I'm sure they didn't take our dog out once to use the bathroom because he peed as soon as we got in the car. It also smelled really bad in the place and was just a bad environment! Very sketchy and look gross in the inside. We got our puppy and in the car he busted this plastic water bottle open because he was so thirsty which shows they didn't give him enough water. We traveled to Branson, MO from MI during spring break with our 2 teenagers and our little Bichon. Our biggest worry about the trip was leaving Mr. Marley alone for an extended amount of time in an unfamiliar place. Sooo, we called Camp Little Paws (at the last minute) and they were able to accommodate us. Marley hates being left with strangers and usually becomes sullen when we pick him up. BUT, when we picked him up from Camp Little Paws not only was he a happy boy but he was freshly groomed! We couldn't have been more pleased with our experience. I read another reviewer mention the smell of the place. We did notice that it smelled like a place that kept dogs... But, since it IS a place that keeps dogs I wasn't alarmed, maybe everyone doesn't opt for the doggie spa treatment. read more

They took Sadie last minute on a Saturday- sent photos when asked and she was happy when we picked her up! It's in the country with a narrow road so large campers could not get there BUT they make arrangements if you call! It's very affordable. I really can appreciate what the owners of camp little paws do. It is tucked away in the rural part of branson so it's secluded yet convenient. The place is very well set up because your dogs get a kennel indoor with a runner going outdoor then they get the opportunity to go out with the other dogs too. My dogs had a good time at camp little paws. The owners accommodated our VERY difficult and short noticed, drop off and pickup times. And we are forever grateful to them for that. And their prices are VERY REASONABLE. I would %100 bring my dogs back and recommend to friends and family. read more

Im not sure what happened. We boarded our two 1 yr old dogs for a 5 night/6 day stay and they were (I hope) kept together because they are inseparable. I wouldnt know because We weren't shown where they would be or shown the kennels. We brought adequate amounts of their dog chow, a box of treats, 3 brand spanking new toys that I took the tags off of and put in their bag for a surprise for them, and a peanut butter filled hoof chew for each of them. Also two packs of meclizine so they wouldnt be car sick on the ride home. This was their first time boarding anywhere so I can understand that they hardly ate...the bag didn't seem any lighter at all. They had been given a few treats each out of the box. But when we got home I saw that their brand new toys had NEVER been given to them! My dogs LIVE for toys! I'm devastated and heartbroken knowing that they were deprived and bored out of their minds for 6 days straight in a kennel. I can't fathom why they would do that to my sweet dogs. One of the hoofs was still untouched in their bag and the other wasnt returned so I dont know if they got to share that one any or what. If so, it would have been the only thing they had between them for 6 days to keep them occupied. Which angers me. Id called twice to check on them and was told both times that they were fine and "getting braver". My husband called the morning of pick up and was told they would be given their meclizine for the ride home. We picked them up at 5:30 pm and both packets were still unopened in their bag. Tonight when we got home one dog snarled at the other one over his *new* toy and then promptly squatted and peed in the floor. This has NEVER happened. They have always happily played with their toys together and havent had a house accident since they were little pups! They had just come in from the back yard so it made zero sense. I hope after a few days they will be back to themselves and unlearn from this experience. I feel miserable for them. I'm super upset about them being refused any toys. Never again. read more

We have boarded our dogs several times (at a different facility) and each time we received our dogs back, my biggest dog was always in a funk for a few days ie: not as affectionate, not hungry, etc. We just boarded our dogs at Camp Little Paws and both of my dogs were so happy! Please don't leave your pet at this place if you love them. We had our dog here for a week and are still paying for it. First, they had our dog in an outside pen with no shade when we came to pick him up. He was so thirsty when he got in of vehicle he drank almost a whole bottle of water. It was 87 degrees outside. Second, we asked for them to give him a bath but they didn't do it. Finally, he is infested with fleas and ticks. He's never had either before. Horrible place. I left my dog for one night. It seems like he spent the night in an outdoor kennel in a tick infested area. When we picked him up in the morning we removed over 200 seed ticks off him. His belly was red with other bites as well. People who run the place are nice and friendly but that's not good enough Will not leave my dog there again. read more

If you love your pet avoid this place. Took my two dogs primarily because we could drop them off on a Sunday. Place looks like a shack and smells like one too. Called the owners ahead of time to announce that I had arrived and it still took 15 minutes for them to arrive. I thought people who boarded pets liked animals, but these people have no personality. When we picked up our dogs two days later at 11:00 AM we were told they hadn't eaten breakfast yet. Who waits til 11:00 AM to feed dogs who eat once a day. I hope my dogs don't end up with fleas. At first I was skeptical about leaving my dog at Camp Little Paws because of the poor reviews, but their hours met my demanding schedule, unlike other doggy daycares in town. I am so glad I am now a regular at CLP. My dog Luna is a Klee Kai (mini husky) who is extremely anxious when she's not with my boyfriend or me. Not only were the owners not at all intimidated by Luna, but they immediately took her in like she was one of their own. Luna's anxiety has improved since taking her to CLP. People have noticed how much better Luna's behavior has been now that she's been going to camp on a regular basis. Not to mention, the owners go above and beyond to take care of Luna's needs. In fact, I've noticed Luna smells good when I pick her up. I believe they bathe her every once in a while, which is such a kind thing to do. They don't even mention it. They also trimmed Luna's nails perfectly. My dog is happier and friendlier, which is all thanks to Camp Little Paws. It means the world to me to have found a place that I can trust with my pup. After all, dogs are family too. The owners have a real love for animals, which is apparent by their caring treatment and warm atmosphere. read more

CLP is set back in the Ozark woods. Don't be in a hurry to make your way down their winding private drive (sharp curves and deer can catch you off guard). It really does remind you of 'going off to camp.' The online reservation process was very easy and required no reservation fee. Since the owners live on-site and are not always in the boarding facility, they ask you to provide an estimated arrival time. I'm always a little late, so I texted them when I was more sure of my arrival. They were very accommodating when I requested a bath for my dog before I picked him up. When I arrived to pick him up, they were prompt and responsive. They are a very kind family-owned business and the prices cannot be beat (they even have ApplePay!). You feel like you are 'at camp' but still close to Branson activities. This is the 3rd or 4th time we've used them and will definitely use them on our next trip to Branson. read more

I can't express how disappointed I am with Camp Little Paws. I recently left my 11 year old terrier mix with them for 4 days and 3 nights of boarding while a friend and I visited Branson. I had used them several years ago and was satisfied so I believed I could trust them with the care of Brady again. However, this time was a completely different experience. I left them with 10 containers of wet food and a bag of dry with at least 6 cups and a measuring cup (more than enough for his stay). I asked that he be fed one wet in the morning and one wet with a cup of dry in the evening. He had already eaten the morning I dropped him off so he didn't need to be fed until evening. I also left his favorite treats and asked that he be given two or three before bedtime. I informed them that he may not eat the first night as he sometimes has to overcome anxiety and settle in. This is not uncommon for a lot of dogs. In hindsight I should have been leery since none of my instructions were written down. I called on day two and spoke to the husband (this is a family run business) and asked how he was and if he was eating. I was told he was doing great and eating fine. This was apparently not the case at all because when I picked him up at the end of his four day stay 9 containers and the bag of dry food were returned to me along with the package of treats with none missing. When I questioned the wife her response was "he always had food in his bowl". What food?! They apparently starved my dog for four days! The only thing I can figure is that they fed him the first night and when he didn't eat (as I told them he might not) they just left that food in his bowl for his entire stay expecting him to eat it. What is wrong with these people? How can people who you expect to care for your pet abuse in such a way. I need to add that my dog has been to dozens and dozens of pet care facilities all over the U.S. and Canada and he has a home day care and I've never had an issue like this before. Now my dog, for the first time in his 11 year-old life, has eating issues. He's worried that he's going to starve and is asking to be fed more often and he's begging. I can't stress strongly enough how disappointed I am with Camp Little Paws and would never use them or recommend them. Just a terrible experience and it makes me so terribly sad that my dog suffered for four days. read more

Inconvenient location but thats not all. when we got there the place smelled bad. Left our small dog here overnight with hesitation. Had a bad feeling and picked her up the next day. I called 20 minutes in advance and when I came in they ran around to get her things together unprepared and when they brought me my dog her harness was on wrong (twisted with two legs in one hole), she was wet with urine, and she had a choke leash around her neck and the woman informed me that my dog had peed on her pillow last night. My dog DOES NOT just pee anywhere. She must not have been taken out AT ALL. She must have been lying down in her own pee. Plus my dog was thirsty the minute we left she lapped up an entire bowl of water. Very dissatisfied. FYI: NO stars intended read more

Little weird driving to the location, so be prepared for a combination of paved, gravel, and narrow one-lane roads. We boarded for one night at the last second and we really appreciated the flexibility of this kennel. The kennels are large and have runs off of them.
