My misgivings were quickly put to rest after meeting Ernesto from PetBuddy Houston. For the 2 weeks that we were away, Ernesto sent us daily picture updates of our tabbies. The greatest validation of course was when we walked in our front door and were met with incredibly relaxed and healthy cats. We knew they had been fed well because there wasn't the usual clamoring/begging for food. They looked so comfortable that I'm pretty positive they didn't miss us even in the slightest. Ernesto is a phenomenal dog walker. He is extremely reliable and easy to communicate with. I have a busy schedule and he is always flexible and available for last minute changes. He is also understanding at times when I have forgotten to cancel him and he has come, and did not charge for the visit. Above all, he loves animals. He is so caring with my dog that the concierge in my building stopped me to ask who my dog walker was so she could refer other tenants to him. She had seen him with my dog and noted how caring and sweet he was with her. His prices are also the most reasonable I found when I moved her, so I have been with Ernesto since August 2013. This is a great choice for affordable at home petsitting. It's much more convenient and much cheaper than pet boarding for when you're out of town or just want your dogs to be walked when you're at work. Also, surprisingly, it's very affordable. I don't feel comfortable asking my neighbors or friends to take care of my pets while away because 1) I don't like asking for favors and 2) I'm afraid they'll do something wrong, like lose my dogs, so this a perfect alternative for me. I don't have to worry at all when I'm away. Also, they offer some at home medical services for pets if you need them. I hope I never have to use them, but will definitely keep that in mind as an option if I do. read more

Pet Buddy Houston and Ernesto Soto are wonderful. I have known Ernesto for a few years now as my caregiver for my cats. I now only have one cat who is going on 21 years old and has some health issues (failing kidneys, etc.). There is no doubt in my mind that Ernesto is keeping her alive and, more than that, remarkably spry. He administers medicine to my cat three times a week and also comes everyday when I go out of town on my numerous trips. He is amazingly capable and caring!! We have been using PetBuddy three times a week ever since our daughter was born, and I cannot say enough good things about this professional service. Our dogs are our first "babies", and Ernesto treats them as if they were his own dogs. Our German Shepherd doesn't like many people, but she greets Ernesto with kisses and excitement.
